It's one hell of a tough race with 12 more runners than i would have liked lol.
Anyway its called After Rain,has the ground and the distance so hope more than anything i suppose.
Had 25ew at 10/1 not going big as i say tough race.

Had a few late winners last night, had a £5 yankee on 3 winners and as usual a second (beaten a head!), but got £200 back from that, plus 2 x forcasts in a £2 sfc yankee, that paid about £170 (and a 1st and 3rd) so happy enough with that, but again, could have been so much better with slightly more luck.

Onto Saturday, maybe for a change, I can get 2 placed, instead of the 1 I normally get, out of the 12 or so I usually pick lol.

Pettochside in the 1.50 has been in the first 3 at this track in 9 of its 11 last runs. Worth a go EW around 12-1.

Going against thebigs here I'm afraid, but Mine Now in the 3.05 looks a good EW. 4th last time out, the winner was just caught out from a 14lb higher rating in the Galway Hurdle, and 4 of the 5 horses that have ran since, won on their next run. Jockey is a decent one for his claim, the horse will like the ground, trainers in ok form and thinks this has a chance. Might do a small RFC with After Rain, at the current prices should pay around £150/180. Out of the Mullin's assault on the race I like Aussie Reigns best, and might do a 50p Rtrifecta, which should pay about £1200-£1500 if it comes in

Hoof It in the 3.35 likes the course and has won 6f big races at this meeting in the past. His first race this season was possibly a prep for this so worth an EW bet at around 20-1. Not sure he retains his previous ability but worth a go at the price. Mobsta is my other one in the race, and will be doing something on that later when I see what the times are like in the first couple of races, if its as slow as yesterday then will have 25 EW on it and a rfc with hoof it (probably £5), currently soft, good to soft in places, which if its not soft/heavy, will temper my interest on it . Widely avalable at 50-1 though, Hoof it at 25-1, forcast should pay about £1500 at those prices, so would kick myself for not doing it if it came in!

Taking a chance on Ecoeye in the 4.50 at Galway. Loves soft ground and if he's fit should grab a place in this race. Seems to be a horse that doesn't like winning from the amount of 2nds next to his name but EW at 12-1 is ok and be surprised if I don't get a run for my money with this one.

Another unlucky day then Col? My bets bombed today as I guessed so I'm pleased that I restricted them. Plus I've been too be busy to watch the racing.

yep and the final 2f were even worse, watching it cruise past the pacemaker, and the odds on fav about 5 lengths back, being hard ridden, wandering over the track, then watching the jockey start to get a rhythm on the fav and come past mine with 100 yards left Wasn't happy lol

Haven't had a chance to look at anything today yet, hopefully youre doing ok with yours Colin.

5.00 Redcar, Oliver's Gold. This should beat this field without breaking sweat, however any time they run him on the flat he runs like he's got 3 legs. I'm sure at some point he will win a flat race, will it be today,. no idea but got to have a little on him EW at around 10-1. The stable don't know either, he's out to keep him ticking over but they will be trying to win regardless.

5.20 Newmarket, Rolling Maul, I thought he would be favourite for this, 6-1 is a mental price and I'll be having a decent EW bet on him assuming there isn't another non runner.

Nice one I had it marked out while considering my bets yesterday morning and at that time it was 3/1. Today I have taken Afonso Da Sousa which I expected to be around 2/1 but for some reason it is at 12/1 now?

Think the racing today is going to be dodgy as fuck with the going changes.

Earlier in the week I was really strong on Harry Angel, but has been tempered with the ground being soft. He has won on good to soft previously though so I'm not completely put off and have a £20 treble, with 2 short priced winners going onto him (around £90 carried forward) at 11/4, the fact that its been backed into 2/1 gives me a little more confidence - race about to go off so posting now so i can't be accused of aftertiming lol.

I have a very busy weekend working so I never got a bet on or been able to check on todays results. I hope you did well? I did notice that Music Box ran yesterday and won. If I had a chance I would have backed that too.

A little ante post tip from me, CESAREWITCH - This has been the target for Rolling Maul for months now, and the owners wouldn't be sending him to it if they didn't think he had a good chance of winning. He was 20/25-1 but is widely available at 33's after his recent defeat, but don't be put off by that, he didn't like the ground.

Briardale is the one that interests me most at 100-1/150-1 with most firms, and 80-1 scummy skybet but paying 8 places. It probably won't win, but I have it as having as good a chance as most of the 20-1 shots in the race, and think it has a decent chance of coming in the first 8. Although SB is only 80-1, it is BPG so if it starts at 100/150-1 then thats a really good price.

The other 3 have been picked simply because I think they are likely to go on the ground and therefore have a chance of winning. No doubt by 4pm I will be thinking, what a dick, they were rubbish

Haydock 2:05 Original Choice

Won at Thirsk recently, finished behind a decent sort last time out
which has since won, can see it running a decent race.

Newmarket 14:20 Clemmie

Sister to Churchill, I think this one will take the race, although 7/4
I don't steam in in short priced horses.

Newmarket 14:55 Sands Of Mali

Won in convincing fashion last time out in the Grimack
if this gets out in front it will be very tough to peg back.

Ripon 15:10 Move In Time

Don't be put off by the bad form figures, ran in much more competitive
races than this one today.
