I think it was because the Irish Met Office issued a red weather warning and this prompted them to make the decision given that conditions for travelling to the racecourse could be severely compromised.
 
New to this site but hoping to contribute where I can. My bet of the day is Nicholls' in the opener at Doncaster. Well backed (was 5/1 earlier) but worth a small bet. (Blackjack Kentucky)

Without a doubt let it roll. If it was an acca i would maybe think about it but being a lucky 15 you will get a great return anyay.

Even if it loses you will still get nearly 7x your bet back anyway.

So who would turn down the chance of a great win if last one comes in for sake of 2x bet.

Yeah I'll let it roll for the reasons you give. Its not a big bet anyhoo so the difference in an early cash out isn't that much

Yeah i had put a 20p lucky 15 on just a while back. Was only £3 to watch the horses on telly as never fancied anything. Would have paid about £500 if last won won. Offered me cashout of about £70 for a bet that was paying £55 anyway.

So for £3 stake i had 3 choices. Take £70 or gamble for either £500 or £55. Really no question i would let it ride. Lost of course but was happy with £55 while i would have been pissed off with losing £430 for sake of £15.

Good luck with last horse hope it wins. :thumbsup:

I've been quite lucky because I've not spent a penny on my bets since Friday after I won on a free bet from Ladbrokes. I played a few slot games after and the winnings have kept me going with the horses :) So win or lose its all gravy :)
 
Via Serendipity in the 1.35W should be good enough to beat the favourite again, despite the 9lb turn round in the weights, if not I can't see it being unplaced, so an EW bet to nothing. 5/1

2.05 TReacherous should be good enough to get a place, assuming theres no more non runners. 6/1

3.55W Lethal Talent might get a place, 8/1

4.00G Tikkanen Express 7/1 will make up the Lucky 15

Not moved yet mate, will be Thursday I think, but got the keys on Thursday so painting Monday, carpets Tuesday, then take some stuff over wednesday, move in thursday hopefully :)

I was looking at maybe half my money back on the day but 3of the 5 races at Chelmsford gave me singles doubles and a treble at 7/2 12/1 and 9/2 which gave me a nice cash out and enough for to cover the bets that I have already staked for tomorrow :)

The Irish racing is intending to go on for as long as it can without any spectators at the course, Dundalk last night was the first meeting and to be honest it didn’t seem to make much of a difference with no crowd at the course.
Navan today is being run with no spectators so it will be interesting to see how that pans out.

Poor old Donny lost three meetings in the Autumn due to floods and now likely to see Lincoln behind closed doors, Doncaster economy relies on the racing trade.

I hope ARC have deep pockets to cover their biggest track over these issues.

Wow. I had the racing from Ireland on last night and I didn't even notice! But to be fair it was mostly just background. I wonder if that will be the case in the UK? I suspect that the likes of Wolves,Lingfeild and Southwell will go ahead because they where more or less created for to ensure the bookies stay in business?
