Hermit Crab migration

This is bloody awesome! I read an article and the guy who shot this said the crabs were walking right over him to get where they were going, and he got a little freaked out just cause there were so many. It's weird, they all travel to the same place, throw their shells on the beach, jump in the water to spawn and two minutes later they climb back out and grab a shell and turn around and go back home.

That's actually really cool with all the baby ones! It's just mind boggling really.

I think the creepyness factor is because of the high concentration of creatures all in one spot. I remember once when I lived on the coast, this one park I used to walk through had all sorts of concrete paths and one day after it had been raining a lot I went for a walk. I got to the park and thought, "Did they paint the paths?" and when I got closer I realized it was moving - it was solid earthworms as far as you could see, all the paths were pinkish.
