Less than 7 days left before I can play it.
1 hr of fun play today and 2 base game wins like that close to 200x
Before you ask, balance was down to that because of some big bets I did before that spin. :p

Mine was a base game hit. Was waiting for it to finish counting out my win, but it started the next game before I could get the screen shot.
 
I rly dont like it,graphic suck,sounds in the base game are terrible and looks like this game has no potential for big wins

I'll be honest mate, I have yet to play it. That said, I'm about to give it my first try later this evening.

But you clearly got the "+8" re-trigger which (as quite a few people have said already in this thread) is a likely requirement if you want
to have a good shot at landing a good win. And you barely achieved what I would deem to be an average payout for level 1.

Hence why I considered it to be poor rather than "below average".
 
Genuine question, but what do players look for in a slot? Holy Diver has taken a barrel load of abuse and the reasons seem to stem from the fact it isn’t paying out thousands of times stake wins along with a supposedly boring base game. I’m just not sure I see that. I’ve genuinely never considered BTG slots to be particularly high varience so whilst it is possible for them to pay large amounts, these are not going to be overly common and to be honest, they really shouldn’t be on a majority of slots. If you have slots paying those sort of levels frequently then the math dictates you are going bust 99/100 with not much fun.

For me, Holy Diver for the most part, gives a good balance of game time, occasional decent wins which either keep you going or give you a decent profit with an outside chance of a big win and even more outside chance of a monster. I like that design. Admittedly, Holy Diver is a long game effort and not one you are going to play if you want a quick hit but is good for a decent session on modest budget.

I guess what I’m trying to ask is that have streamers and manufacturers skewed expectations to such a degree that when a slot is released that is not an “all or nothing” affair it is immediately slammed as boring. Variety is the spice of life and I for one welcome slots like this as it shows a continuing effort to provide something different, which for BTG is a huge step after several Bonanza derivatives.

Absolutely streamers have skewed people’s perception of slots and what a big win actually is. And to give credit to BTG they absolutely seized the idea, the new market of players are brought to slots by streamers and BTG so it’s all they know.
BTG games are just mid variance with the lottery like chance of a win over 5000x
Holy diver IMO is terrible, long boring base game play only to get a feature that offers nothing, not even the odd 300x.
I like the music though so congratulations BTG on the fine tunes.

I can totally see why people may find it boring. Suspect I’ll get sick of it before long but we’ll see.

The music is quality, and I know it’s by Dio, but can’t help but picture Jack Black in all his School of Rock glory belting it out. BTG need to licence something with Tenacious D, maybe a Pick of Destiny style slot with Tribute included. (C) My idea Feb 2019 when someone steals it.
 
Had a bash on it the other day with a bonus, surprised I quite liked it :cool:

It has that retro side-scrolling RPG videogame feel, granted, the guy does a lot of kicking and his toes must look like golf balls, but I don't see how the base game could be described as dull really. It has quite a bit of variation and some decent potential. It does get a bit plodding at times but it's different enough, and doesn't blitz balances like most BTG titles.

Ok so I only took the level 1 bonus, don't ask me what happened with the gold goblets, retriggers or whatever else, but c'mon what's not to love about the style of that soundtrack and execution. Love it :laugh:

So I'll put my BTG-hate on hold for the time being and say they may have fluked a decent little number here. Though I'll give it the full rundown when I've put a larger amount than 15 Euros through it :cool:

I played this at Royal Panda today and it played exactly the same as it did when I was playing it in the BTG comp. Took 600 spins to get to Level 2 which I played and it paid 40x. Got a 72x in the base game and a few 20x+ that kept it plodding along. That’s what it felt like though, a plod. It halved my balance which isn’t too bad but I just couldn’t face carrying on to level 3. I’ll probably play it again but I won’t be in a rush.
 
Lost almost 100€ with 0,5€ stake before getting level 3 bonus. Took almost an hour. Didn't even count how many hundreds spins it took. Not a best first try. Anyway got "a freebie" when bonus paid 220x. Probably this was the first and last time with this slot...
 
Made 2 features on it yeasterday lvl 2 +3 both was really bad like 20-30x, got a 84x in normalspins but it took everything back to getting to lvl2 the 2nd time almost 600spins dident wanna try lvl3 again without having atleast 80x.

Too many boring spins only every 5th spin can actually pay something, wonder what the randomness is with getting crystals in chests sometimes u get 2-3 in 20spins then nothing a single for 150-200spins.

It is the worst of the worst. 400 spins now on first level and Guess how many gems I got? 1 yes that is right 400 spins and 1 gem. Keep having to redeposit as my balance vanishes within minutes. The base game stinks soo much as well. Such a disgusting vile pile of crap slot.

Rant over..................... BTG, you seriously need to pull this pile of rubbish slot. Ok now Rant is over.............................. Promise...................

And now I just had 3 stacked wilds on reel 3, 4 and 5 with 3x wild on reel 3, 2X on reel 4 and 6X on reel 5. And guess what? No connection on reel 2 with the purple gem on reel 1 and reel 6. Seriously revolting slot. total joke...............

Crazy bad luck. I reached the level 1 bonus game within 70-80 spins when testing it for play-money on leovegas. At first I thought the gems were really rare too and then I got 4 gems within 20 spins or so. I don't play on leovegas though so I can't play it for real money yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how much my luck is going to differ.

I am now at 800 spins and stuck on level 2 with 3 gems. So need 1 more gem for level 2 and 4 more for level 3. Looks like it is gonna take me around 1500spins at this rate it is going to trigger level 3 freespins and I bet ya it will pay around 10X as well when it does finally trigger..........

I never take the spins at level 1 or level 2, I always go for level 3 spins everytime. Yes a lot more expensive............ Especially when the base game is not giving any wins to give you extra chances and playtime. Worst time to play this slot is when it is not giving any wins in the base game and gems are no where in sight lol. Yet I am playing it at this very moment when that is happening............. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
 
Only went for lvl3 a few times as im almost broke and dont wanna redeposit.

But my last sessions getting to lvl 1 is 200-250spins then around same for lvl2, i hate the randomness on this slot and its just dead spins and small wins all the time u really need those 3 wild reels and only seen it 2times so far and biggest was 84x.
Its really missing something else in basegame to make it exciting.

So far best feature on lvl2 was 280x, but not sure i will play it much more unless a monster comes, cause loosing 150-200x to get feature that pays 20-40x everytime almost blows.

Well I wasn't expecting any free spins or other offers for the launch at all the other casinos.
But I haven't had a single email announcing it's launch, from any casino.
Just shows how excited casino managers are about Holy Diver.
Even BTG aren't hyping this one as much as the previous games.

Only one I've seen is Casino Heroes. Nada from the rest.
 
I deposited $66 to try this out and just do 20 cent to get a feel for it. Seems like a busy slot with lots of chests. I had level 2 and 3. Paid like 11x and 14x. Complete garbage slot and seems like a crappy wager slot possibly. Wont bother with it again.

Really think BTG have lost their way and their math model is just terrible.
 
Played it a short while... it made me yawn and wish they had a quick spin button and the ability to skip win count ups...

The slot itself has a lot going for it in the base game but fails to keep the player entertained primarily because of the boring base game music, slow win count ups and small worthless hits.

Gems can come quick or take ages .. really a mixed bag TBH. Since people are not getting 8 spins and gambling to lose them, BTG had to devise another Nigerian type 419 con job in order to milk players to the max... it's now called the Reel Adventure and basically encourages people to play on to get to a higher level.... mostly with disastrous results.

I triggered the free spins on level 2... won 20x.. left the slot and will not play it again.

The highlight of the game was the soundtrack in the free spins but apart from that, it's a total and utter borefest.

BTG are not really comfortable producing a slot like Bonanza anymore - straight up free spins with no nonsense attached.

Their feature gambles, feature buys and collect for feature model seems to be the way forward for them. I'm pretty certain they know people will tilt going all out literally chasing the bonuses... smart.

Then again... this is what you would come to expect from them..

Another 'Newbie' ... first post on YT happens to be a HUGE win on BTG. Seen quite a few of those in the past months. People that have never recorded their play and suddenly have a video of a new BTG slot with a massive win.

Thanks for the link - could be genuine, but too much of a coincidence with these big winners nowadays.

Ok, irrespective of the nature of the “newbie” post or and other conspiracy theories, that second re-trigger would be a pant wettingly exciting thing to get. Of course I’ll never see it in my lifetime but hey ho.
 
Well after slating the game for being boring i went and decided i needed to be fair and try it for real money.

So played it 4 times at different casinos. Each time i fought through the sheer boredom to make sure i reached end of level 3.

Total wins from bonuses were 9x 12x 20x and 60x roughly. And that was all from level 3 bonuses.

Sorry the slot may have some potential but it really is a boring mind numbing slot to play.

And okay before anyone rants on about the potential all BTG games supposedly have it but it is rarely seen.

Take a look at Blueprint Megaways slots and see the payouts from them compared to BTG. Genie Jackpots for example.Not the most played slot but look at amount of screenshots its produced. Even i hit a 6000x on it and have had several over 1000x and i dont play it that much.

BTG should take a lesson from BLueprint on getting Megaways right. Blueprint have went from low variance slots like king kong cash etc and moved onto slots like Napoleon and Genie Jackpots to keep up with what players want which is high variance slots that actually show their potential.

I agree in most with what you said but I had to add this though. The thing is. Yes Blueprint Gaming and others who now have licenses to use the Megaways model. It does not mean they have the right to change the actual maths or the RNG of the Megaways. The licenses might not cover the fact that the other gaming providers like Blueprint might not have the right to change the RNG and the maths that might solely be down to BTG only and if the said providers wanted to change the maths it would probably mean they have to ask BTG if they will do it for the slots they produce under the Megaways model. Just my 2 cents. I might be wrong. But it is worth saying just in case it might be true.
