There are many variations on this type of infection, and safe mode (F8) can with the latest ones just blue screen the computer. If safe mode works you are almost there and can use programs like Malwarebytes to kill the thing.
I have fixed such an infection on a mate’s machine but the process is difficult and varies with the type of infection.
I have seen the hitman pro post which is a very good tool but not always successful as it sometimes doesn’t work with certain hardware configurations but worth a try definitely.
There is one thing I can tell you and this is the infection does not delete your data, e.g. documents and pictures.
There are Linux operating systems out there that can run on live cds that bypass windows and are for the most part immune to malware.
You need an internet enabled computer free from the infection that you can use to download and create a disk that will boot and enable you to transfer the vital files to a USB stick.
There is a part that says root access maybe needed in the step to step guide, which is only the generic username and password / passcode the cd tells you use when booting the cd it’s not hard, it uses a wizard type system not unlike windows.
Make sure you connect the computer to the internet with an Ethernet cable, wireless cards are supported, but not always.
I would understand that if you have never done this before that it may seem a little scary and hard to grasp at first but it will make sense if you try.
Removing the hard disk and putting it into a caddy is an option to recover data and not that difficult really, YouTube is your friend there.
If you take the option of a professional and they say the data can’t be recovered and they can only reinstall windows then they aren’t and avoid.
Just try to cope with this situation of possible lost files, they aren't and over the next few days work out from forums and friends the easiest way to get them back, I think I am saying don't be rash and think you have lost them and give up and reinstall.
Hope it works out for you.
