Welcome to CM Jim. Take a looky at the accredited casino list here, most process payments generally faster than 2 weeks, although even the best of groups sometimes encounter delays.
I'm not familiar with Slots Plus's policies. Do they have a maxium weekly or monthly payment amount? I'm unclear what your total withdraw was for.
If you have a balance in your account, resist temptation to play on until you get it paid. There's a big difference between 10K in your bank account and $10K showing in your balance to play with, especially psychologically.
If you haven't already did so, I suggest you open a separate bank account from your household money, preferrably at a different bank. Deposits over a certain amount must be reported, and even smaller sums can trigger an account being frozen pending an investigation if they suspect it is gambling. If the account you use to pay your rent and bills and receive direct deposits is frozen, you can find yourself in quite a dilemma, as more than one member can attest!
Always allow a couple of weeks or more for a cheque to clear if you are receiving payment by cheque. While it's not frequent, cheques may bounce, and you are on the hook to the bank for those sums, plus fees. Most times the casino either pays by alternate means or another cheque and reimburses NSF fees.
Make sure the bank you choose accepts international wires. I'll ask one of our US members to send you some suggestions by private message.
If you are questioned by your bank what a wire or cheque is for, tell them you sold stamps or movie posters or such on ebay, or did software testing, or artwork for a foreign company. DO NOT EVER SAY you won it gambling online. Then your bank will have to take action.
Also, I advise you not to borrow, buy things on credit or spend money you can't quite afford until you have the money firmly in hand.
I'm not trying to panic you, but it is often a bumpy road for US players to get paid.
Take some time, mosey around the forum and read some threads while you are awaiting your payout.
