I'm here to educate myself more than anything. I'm amazed how much information is here. Been reading a while but felt it was time to sign up.

I run a couple of affiliate sites but have found my knowledge of casinos to be sadly lacking. Thanks to this place it's getting better! Keep up the great work.

Hello and Welcome , glad you found CM as you can learn a wealth of information about casinos, just curious , why did you become an affiliate if your experience was lacking in casinos?

Most do it for betterment of players on what sites are best to visit in their respected countries and what casinos are rogued , I do hope you are not promoting any rogue casinos and are keeping your players best interests first , if it is money your looking to make, then you are in it for the wrong reasons imho!

That's a great question!

I have been working in web marketing for ten plus years. A friend of mine, who loves online casinos, wanted to start his own site. I helped him set it up, write content and deal with all the intricacies of installing analytics and so on. He kept coming to me for advice for months on end. I was doubtful he'd make a success of it, but he did!

I was impressed, but from a professional point of view I was also intrigued. I wanted to understand the level of competition in the sector and so on. It's also a fun thing to research and to learn about, so I set up a test site (I have many sites in various sectors). To cut a long story short I enjoyed the challenge and have had modest success at building traffic. I now realise that if I want to keep doing this I need to make sure I am giving visitors a fair and worthwhile service...hence joining this forum!

As for money...yes it's a part of why I do this, but I enjoy the challenge too. You can make money in lots of affiliate sectors but few are as fascinating to me! Could you write daily articles about photocopiers?
