Hi Casinomeister users!
My name is m4gicscrfl, pronounced ma-jik-scruh-full. I like to play roulette and blackjack, but mostly roulette.

When I play roulette, I play a lot of free spins by betting an equal amount on both red and black so I can see the pattern of the numbers coming up and can bet accordingly with an incrementing single dozen bet.

so my question is, will the casinos not like the free spin thing? will they not like the use of a single dozen bet system if i am able to win consistently with it? will they not pay me out if i am using this system and it works for me?

When a zero comes in, either i lose I lose the two dollars that it took me to get the free spin, or i lose the current amount that i was at during the betting progression. but 0's in european style roulette don't come up as often as in the american version. so the way im betting makes more money than it loses by 0s coming up... its confusing...

If you play with a bonus, betting on both red and black may cause problems. If you do not play with a bonus, you are unlikely to have problems. Although some might think you are abusing comp points or similar. You will lose over time with a system like that, unless the game is not random.

Like AKA said; no bonus - no problem!
(Also would not be a problem at any reputable casino as long as you don't break any specific T&C's)

You give your location as Cali, so why don't you just play Roulette Gold at MicroGaming casinos? Then you can spin with no bets on the table, won't lose when zero hits & definitely will not 'get into trouble'

PS: As 1,000's have learned before you, there is NO system to consistently beat roulette, period.

Welcome to the forum. I know this is a futile attempt, but I cant help myself. Casino's are about luck, fun and entertainment. Walking up to any game thinking you have a system to make money is the only sure way to walk out a loser ...

The system you sugest is a simple variation on the all-to-known martingale system, and the maths work like this. Disregard the betsize for a second .. it doesnt really matter anyway. For every spin, there are two possible outcomes. You win, or you lose. Lets figure out how much each happens and what it will earn and cost you ..
(we'll assume a roulette where you can skip so black+red bets are not required - only dozen bets.)

win : happens 12/37 times. you gain 2*stake. (it pays 3 times, what you put up + 2*stake)
loose : happens 25/37 times. you loose your stake.

expected result : win - lose = (expected_profit*odds_on_profit) - (expected_loss*odds_on_loss)
= (2*stake)*(12/37) - stake*(25/37)
= stake*(24/37) - stake*(25/37)
= -stake*(1/37)

that little minus sign in the end there says the following : repeat this long enough and you lose. You will lose 1/37th of your stake .. which is 2.7%, or exactly the house edge of a european roulette.

Repeat this exercise with ANY bet on roulette .. and you will find exactly the same nr ..
My advice ? When you play roulette - do it for the fun and excitement. Try to guess or feel whats coming up, its about luck - it cannot be reasoned or calculated.

Sorry, but I have to stop you right there....

Unless you're playing a non-random version of Roulette, then there aren't going to be any "patterns". You could spin as many times as you wish and think there's a pattern in it, but it just isn't there....

For instance, I'm playing blackjack one day in atlantic city, and the dealer was starting to shuffle. I look over and notice that there's 14 straight red's that have came up on the roulette table right next to me, so I figure "black has to be coming out!" ... and quickly lost $25 on the next 5 spins because 5 more reds came out

That's one of the reasons I hate roulette
