Has anyone heard of/read anything about The Mandarin Palace?

mousey

I understand that you a weary about downloading the cd. I can't say I blame you, who the heck is this place anyway. Well I hadn't received my disc, I had signed up but not invited. I asked in chat if they would send one. I got it about a week later, it may have been on its way anyway.

I only asked for it because my girlfriend had gotten paid in about a week hassle free by courier from the nd bonus. I was not so lucky. I did actually deposit once and took the %100 bonus. The games will not make you rich, and spin a lttle slow, but I had fun. They are different. I played for about two days off and on with 100.00. Now mind you I had lost maybe 300.00 on the rtgs, mgs, and rivals within hours during the same span.

Its up to you if you install, I can just say I like the games. I have seen in other forums where they did not. Just play in free mode to find out. I will deposit again in a week or two after the regulars suck me dry.

Hope this helps, good Luck:)

Any answer on this?

I received the CD today in the mail and decided to seach and came across these posts.

Not a word. They told me they would email and I have not heard anything from them except all these deposit bonus offers. I mean I have never received so many match offers it just to bad they never responded though... no follow thru :(

Well I lost those deposits quick a little too quickly so I won't be playing this one for a while if at all again.....

GL everyone

Got the CD a week or so ago but downloaded the software online to use the code cuz I heard that if you put that cd in your pc all your babies could be born naked. I'm seeing all kinds of paranoid sounding conspiracy theories at varioius forums but haven't herd anything specific, problem-wize, about this site. Other than the naked baby dealio. Brrrr! Just the thought of it gives me the willies!

Curious...

Hi All!

I am "new" but not so new, I lost my old account detail because I had it under an old AOL address, been lurking for years still reading the forum and newsletters, but never had reason to post until now (I won the beer/$50 contest once too...ty CM! ).

I decided to dive in because I too got the invite and ventured back into online gaming again. I had not done this in many years as I am US, but I read a little bit about others who had no issues and decided to try (specifically the player in MI since I am also there). Mandarin seems OK so far, I have played a little and made some deposits, hit some nice things in VP quite a few times, but just played on the winnings never tried to cash out. I had held off on depositing again recently as I have been watching this thread and waiting to get a definitive on this place....so far nothing lol.

Is there any chance CM would weigh in on this? I don't really know the process for casinos being added to accredited, and in the past I never would have tried one without it being on the list here, but the temptation sucked me in since it had been so long since playing online.

Anyway, besides the Mandarin issue, do any of you other US'ers have recommendations for safe, hassle free online casinos?

Thanks all!~Andi~

Hi, I'm in the US as well. I play at most of the ones on the CM list. Once you turn in your docs. these are the hassle free one's IMO, in no particular order:
3Dice, Inetbet, and Club World. I have not cashed out here yet, but people seem to enjoy The Rushmore Casino Group, and Jackpot Capitol. Other than the list I have cashed out at Sloto Cash, and Allstar Slots. I'm not sure if they all take MI, however.

I think it depends on the type of software you like. You can play on all of these for free to test. Good Luck:)

mandarin

I received the CD last week and played and lost...no problem. I won't play it again until I get a new graphics card bc it spins so slow that it looks like each reel is dragging off of every spin. Took forever to lose that 50 bucks due to slowness of reels.

Chat is instant and right in the casino. I like the few games that I played so will give it another go this weekend.

I'm a little confused as to why you're looking for new USA casinos - what's wrong with the ones on CM's list?
Are you a 'bonus hunter' and have run out of bonuses?

Also remember that just because a casino is not CM accredited, it doesn't mean they are rogues, as SHL said:-

It depends what games you like to play, but certainly SlotoCash & AllStar are as good as any on CM's accredited list (in fact, better than some of them!).
I'm pretty sure these 2 casinos take players from the whole of the USA - if not can someone please let me know too!

Thanks,
KK

As I said I have not played for years.
LOL, no not a bonus hunter by a long shot I am the online (and landbased for that matter) casinos dream, I love to play, period. And if the place seems fair I am more than happy to contribute .
When everything blew up in the US back in...2006? Forget exact dates, anyway, when it got iffy I just stopped completely. I was a Spin Palace customer, and they shut us out so I just quit playing online. I asked about US friendly because I just wanted to hear from people in the US who know which ones are alright. Honestly, I like Mandarin but I see the regs here saying be wary, I guess I am just looking for an "OK".
As for sticking to CMs list, it makes me feel safer to try and stick to it, just in case I ever have an issue this seems to be one of the only ways to get help when it comes to online Casinos. I have read a lot of the horror stories here, I don't EVER want to be in that situation :eek2:.
Hopefully it never will be an issue, but better safe than sorry.

I did look into the ones Slothead listed though, I probably will check them out. Thanks for the replies and opinions all.

Mandarin Palace

I got email this morning from Mandarin.

"Cannot tell you how excited I am and how this changes my life at this moment" - that was the first ecstatic reaction from lucky SallyH, who struck a whopping $52,206.26 in one amazing spin on the Dream Wheel Video Slot this weekend.

And for the next two days, Mandarin Palace is giving YOU a bankroll-boosting 25% unlimited bonuses on ALL your deposits, so now you too can take a shot at joining our illustrious Winners Circle.
It could be your turn this week!

Offer available until midnight (EDT) Tuesday : There is no maximum value. Claim as many times as you like.
Simply make a deposit, then use the following bonus code to claim : -----

"This win quite literally changes my life! Bills and debts I thought I would spend years paying off, can now be erased. I will be Mandarin Palace player for life!" - SallyH

There is something going on there obviously.

OK that is strange, I got that email about a week and a half ago.
Was yours dated today?
Funny thing is when I joined I was getting mail from them 2-3 times per week, bonus offers and deposit confirmations when I made them. In the last week or so I have not received either

Sucks

Im not even gonna look for a place to post on this one, This site is full of crap. blah blah blah

Dont listen to this crock of shit site because they promote the REAL rip off casinos! just delete my account.
I've been playing online casinos for 8-years, and your remarks about CM are so way of the mark it's laughable.
I suggest you take a holiday from gambling and look up the meaning of the phrase 'sore loser'.

Goodbye Jeff, I'm sure you last request will be met in full.

As to Mandarin Palace I contacted them today to ask if the rumor was true about only taking USA players and no other countries at all.
They said YES, this is true.

How bizarre!

I guess I should have been reading this thread :D

I guess someone didn't get 'nuf lovin' from his mama when he was a boy? :p

b'bye :D

What causes Jeffs message to spread out to 3X's the width of the normal page??

Bigger mouth than most....but hey, that's just a guess. :p

Maybe his mama dropped him on his head?

Anyway, has anyone figured out what software they are using?

CM? Have you heard anything about this casino? I too, find it bizarre that they are only taking people from the US. That makes me a little more leery of signing up there.

I think you should reverse the ban just long enough for them to explain why someone would have to exclaim "lol" so many times in their own rant? Afraid we would not get the funny parts?

You did begin a sentence with And, lol.

What a weird thread to post such a rant against CM when hardly anyone knows about, let alone plays at Mandarin.
Good Riddance:rolleyes:

Methinks it's due to the continuous stream of exclamation marks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(The software displays spaces which weren't there when he typed it).

PS: I was right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Actually, I'm just looking at this thread now. Never heard of this casino - I'll check into it to see if anything is up.

THANK YOU CM!

I got his reply in my email and my jaw dropped.
My radar started going off because he was one of the original people who said they had won and cashed out smoothly. Then all of the sudden a maniacal rant arrives :eek2:. Ahh well.

So glad this site is here.

I have not read this entire thread but was speaking to Simmo this am and just wanted to toss in here that I received 2 cd's today and 1 of them was to my deceased husband(pure tasteless!) anyway the thing is this is a brand new address and he never resided here! More the point is I have narrowed down on the groups that he had an account at and who would in the past send out cd's to him and the answer is ....Grand Prive!!! I smell a rat here folks.

OOOO That is what I was thinking too!! Well, that or an FBI sting lol

Well, since your sad loss, had you continued playing at Grand Prive, and of course updated them as to YOUR new address.

IF a marketing company was doing the usual, getting legitimate mailing lists, they could only ever find out who has lived at the new address, they CANNOT link new back to old, and resurrect a resident of only the old.

This looks like your details were sold on as "leads", and when you moved, and told casinos this, the link between your accounts, and those of your dearly departed husband would have been preserved. If they then sold this data, they could easily have sold your new address data as the couple you were, hence the tasteless receipt of the CD in your husband's name.

You should consider how many casino groups have been in a position to link you through both your old and new addresses.

It is VERY odd also that a casino would even THINK of sending a CD to TWO occupants of the same household, IP address, computer....... etc..... since this would invariably be against the rules.

The fact that Mandarin Palace has "unknown" software, and ONLY accepts players from the USA, where the authorities consider it illegal. The US authorities would surely consider this as Mandarin Palace KNOWINGLY attempting to circumvent the US laws, and this would be money laundering.

I looked at their site, and by reading what they CLAIM can be used as a deposit method, such as AMEX, AND the admission that they ONLY cater for the US market, as well as the way they tell you how to check your statements because they are going to make your deposits look "clean", this IS "money laundering" by definition.

If they later screw over US players, there will be little that can be done. Once the US authorities catch sight of what they are up to, they may simply disappear rather than stick around and have the DoJ sign up and place specimen deposits through AMEX, and get evidence of misrepresenting the nature of the transaction - they would not need to go any further than this for money laundering offenses, but they would need to place an illegal bet, and get paid if they wanted to go after them on illegal betting charges.

The reputable RTG casinos that accept US players are a far better bet, as they should at least stick around long enough for an orderly exit should the worst happen, and they are forced to stop taking US bets, which seems less and less likely now, with regulation possibly on the way.

As I posted before, I cashed out $400 on the free chip. Check was from Bank of Montreal. Deposited twice since, no problems.

Don't laugh guys - I'm thinking BoDog.

Or some other big name casino - because I got it to.

It's a decent enough software - reminiscent of a mixture of I-slots and Micro combined.

It's an England Casino base - which gives it a slight better credibility than most others.

I don't have a bad thin to say about them - and personally- don't have a problem with them knowing me - because I THINK --- just think... that this is a casino operation that will come out as one that we currently have accounts with... But due to MG standards - they cannot "CONNECT" themselves to the other software.

OK - just my off the wall thoughts.

Haven't played online for a couple of years, got the CD so came here to see what was the news with this place.

I had accounts at more than 1 Grand Prive casino.

That is all. :)

I THINK you are 100% correct.

Speculation I know , but Grand Prive steal from their affiliates and completely pull out of the USA to concentrate on Europe, and then Mandarin Palace pops up and accepts ONLY players from the USA and no other countries - and they don't have a affiliate program.
I guess they must have already got a big list of American player's details from somewhere... :p

2 + 2 = 4 (usually...)

reef encounter

For any players who actually like Mandarin (personally, I'm on the fence. However it took me many months to warm up to 3D, now one of my favs.) Bryan said he would look into them, until he says don't play, or gives them a warning, I'll play, in fun mode for a while. I like some of their slots, although they spin way too slow. I have only deposited once. I didn't cash out but I know someone who did, and was paid by check in about a week or so.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone has played their new "Finding Nemo" slots(of course they don't dare call it that) Its too cute for words.

I still wonder about slot designers (any software) that use so many of what I could only consider as childrens themes for slots. I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing (as it's only adults who are supposed to be gambling). It has just always struck me as kind of .... strange ....

It's also frowned upon by responsible gambling groups, since they see the themes as a way of getting children interested in gambling from a young age by viewing their parents, or others of adult age, gambling on them.

Alcopops also used themes that might be seen as children's imagery, this got banned, since the view was that they would appeal to children as a "soft drink", and get them hooked by the time they were old enough not to have to ask an adult to buy it for them:rolleyes:

RTG seems to have gotten into trouble over using overt children's themes on 2 recent slot games. SOMEONE forced their hand, but RTG will not comment, and slots were quietly renamed to something more generic. Rapunsel became "Roberta", and Pinnochio became the rather lame "Wooden Boy".
They EVEN had to rename their Tutankhamen slot to "Boy King" - no way was this a copyright issue, since I doubt ANYONE can copyright the culture of the Pharoahs, nor indeed the theme of a particular one.

They withdrew Sherlock Holmes, and it has never reappeared under a generic branding.

Using cartoon graphics is one thing, but the problem seems to lie where the imagery is overtly connected to popular children's characters or themes.

Man

Do they have more than one? I found the comment a little strange because you are supposed to be 21 to gamble, but maybe you are right. I didn't look at it that way. Many MG slots are way more child like than this one IMO. Even more child like were the Hype/Inchilli gmes, which I loved, as well as the Crypto Marvel comic ones.

Vinyl, I thought rtg had to change because of copyright infringement laws, someone can correct me if that is not the case. If any of them were child like, it was the ones they re branded IMO, Sherlock was the only adult theme.

This MIGHT explain Rapunzel and Pinnochio, but even here, copyright would have expired on the original stories, and thus the characters (50 years after death of author).
Tutankhamen - no way is this copyright - who would have it, a 5000 year old king:D
Sherlock Holmes, not sure, when did Conan Doyle die, copyright would end 50 years after. Later TV series might be a problem though, and they may have gotten the game withdrawn.

RTG seems to have caved in without a fight, but should not have been so specific in naming the slots in the first place.

3 Dice ALSO have a "Tut ankh amun" slot game, so if this is OK - so should the RTG version be.

Other softwares often use cartoon characters, but made up ones, NOT ones that children would have grown up with, which might encourage them to gamble. UK FRuit Machines DO use characters that children could relate to, Sonic the Hedgehog inspired a series of Fruit Machines, and so did the newspaper cartoon strip "Andy Capp".
I have yet to see a Spongebob Squarepants fruitie, but if I do, I'll see if it takes square coins:D

Cartoons

Ok, wow, you have forced me to look up Tutankhamen, lol. I really didn't even know what the heck that was, I do now. All I knew was that I rarely do well in the bonus at 3D in it. You are right, RTG never really explained, I just assumed. I do know that Sherlock Homes was around just recently with a child or teenage version, and yes it still airs late at night sometimes. They still sale promotional items for the theme. I know because my son wanted that hat and faux pipe for halloween a few years back. It makes you wonder how much Three Stooges/Coyote cost them.

Its funny you should mention "Andy Capp", as I just returned from a B&M where I played the slot machine. They have Betty Boop as well. Thanks for the knowledge.

just figured I'd pop my head in and see if CM has had a chance to review this place. Since my last (and only) withdrawal from mandarin palace, I haven't played. Only thing I've noticed is that this place was sending out emails like twice a weekend telling me there were all kinds of bonuses and free money. Got really annoying. But they have since slowed to like 1 a month. I've also gotten a couple emails, and 1 snail mail letter asking me if everything was okay, if they did something wrong and how they wished I would come back.

Not sure what happened with the other guy (the guy that got banned) but I swear I'm a real person, not affiliated with this casino... not really sure how I could prove that. I just don't want to be tagged as a troll too.

As far as where they get addresses from... the only 2 places I've played in the past were Spin Palace and Blackjack Ballroom not sure if BJB is a prive casino (I really hated that place though, only played, and lost there, a couple times), but I'm pretty sure Spin wouldn't sell the customer list... anyways, I'm hoping the CM will be able to check this place out... If there is some way to prove I don't represent this place, let me know. Just don't want my posts to be dismissed as junk.

No, Blackjack Ballroom is one of Casino Rewards 18 MG casinos. It's possible someone from this huge group let some details go at some time.

Until proven otherwise, I still think Mandarin must be assumed to be part of Grand Prive and therefore should sit firmly in the rogue pit. No-one from Mandarin has ever come to this forum, or any other that I know of to deny the connection - the silence speaks volumes! ;)

BTW, I'm sure no-one thinks you're a troll - post whatever you want!

I stopped getting e-mails also....curious. I was also kind of waiting on CM's opinion on this place.

I never wondered how they got my snail mail address , probably should have. I don't think I have ever been a customer of the Grand Prive places, however I was with Spin Palace before they booted us pitiful USer's. Could it be them that passed along our info? I hate to think it because that was my favorite casino they really treated me well. I only had a few casino accounts online so not sure how they could have gotten it.

Did splitem say someone got banned from Mandarin btw?
I missed seeing that post, yikes. (Or maybe he meant the people who could not get an account yet because of the strange way Mandarin was starting up with customer base).

I received 2 CD's since the OP and never even played at a GP casino in fun or real mode, nor am I an affiliate.

I have played at BJB as a real player and also have an affiliate account.

Just got another cd this week most noteworthy is the fact that I received only 1 where as I usually get 2 the second in my deceased husbands name. Now this is really funny since about a month ago I got fed up with GP txt'ing me bonus offers and I called there and had a huge fit to get my # and my name off the mailing list. I also told them it was tasteless to continue to send cd's to my deceased husband. Things that make you go hmmmmm.. One thing is for sure they will not stay hidden for long.

Now a rumor... I heard this is maybe the x biz partner at GP who split up and ventured out on his own.... Like I said a rumor.
Me personally I think Elvis and Michael are not really dead and they own it =)

I received a second disk yesterday. Replaced the previous one I was using as a coaster for my morning cuppas here at the computer. And it's going to continue to do so until I get some real info on this joint.
