Congrats on your success with Harrods.
I myself have to side with vinyl on the impression that Harrods software gave me.
Some have to win and some have to lose, I know, but when I played them I felt completely taken to the cleaners. It was the first time with Kismet software for me and I will darn make sure that its the last time too.
I did not play the Valentine promo, but I played them on the match 50 - 50 BSP intro.
I got cleaned out in a hurry. Flat betting 2 pounds per hand, after just about 70 hands I was already down to my deposit level. Frustrated by my feeling of being cheated I went all in and lost.
At one time I was foolish enough to play the Oyster software, Netgaming was the casino, the first one out of the gang I think, and the software was then known, if memory serves, as Elka Systems The Russian Contraption. At least there, on a $200 - $200 USD match, I ended up, flat betting at $5 per hand, cashing in $290.
This is not based, or backed with any math or research, but as far as smelling a rat, or just plain feeling bluntly cheated, imoho they compare. But of course Harrods is polished with a good look, good CSR and on-time payouts.
Regards,
Thatch

O-3 said:Must be some sort of catch there considering roulette is a beatable game without table limits.

are you smoking something?
even with no limits, the EV of martingale is zero.
cripes.
And how do you beat a randomized ball going round?
I digitally enhanced that picture to make me look thinner!mitch said:I always think it is a mistake to show your actual image on the net!
Who ate all the pies? You obviously.
OK, so you bet 1 on Red - but it doesn't come in.O-3 said:How Err well keep doubling up untill it hits, WITHOUT a table limit this in entirely possible.
A much better idea is to double your bets on the colour that has just come in.O-3 said:I'm not saying I have the money to do it, I'm just saying that it is indeed possible if there were NO Limits on a roulette table.
mitch said:Just played Harrods latest promotion on their "Ties Win Blackjack", a game, designed by Michael Shackleford ( The Wizard of Odds ), with an house edge of only .247.
Ended up winning the bonus with a little bit extra.
This was the first time I have played the game. It didn't feel as volatile as normal blackjack but I thought it was a little bit boring as a game.
It was very quick to play however and you can really run through WR very quickly.
Any thoughts out there?
Mitch
This promotion was a free ticket in a draw for every 20 wagered. And I only wagered about 60!Dear Player,
Thank you for participating in last weekend's promotion. Unfortunately you didn't win one of the main prizes, but as a consolation we have added 10 to your casino account.
Why play anywhere else?
