I myself have to side with vinyl on the impression that Harrods software gave me.

Some have to win and some have to lose, I know, but when I played them I felt completely taken to the cleaners. It was the first time with Kismet software for me and I will darn make sure that its the last time too.

I did not play the Valentine promo, but I played them on the match 50 - 50 BSP intro.

I got cleaned out in a hurry. Flat betting 2 pounds per hand, after just about 70 hands I was already down to my deposit level. Frustrated by my feeling of being cheated I went all in and lost.

At one time I was foolish enough to play the Oyster software, Netgaming was the casino, the first one out of the gang I think, and the software was then known, if memory serves, as Elka Systems The Russian Contraption. At least there, on a $200 - $200 USD match, I ended up, flat betting at $5 per hand, cashing in $290.

This is not based, or backed with any math or research, but as far as smelling a rat, or just plain feeling bluntly cheated, imoho they compare. But of course Harrods is polished with a good look, good CSR and on-time payouts.

Ah, you have to watch out for those tilts.
I'm not going to do the math but losing 25 units in 70 hands is not surprising, just variance. Just bad luck this time.
I for one played the SD bj @ 25 and ended up 10 units plus the bonus.
Harrods seems to be a good casino with decent software and games and great promos.
Better luck next time

Losing 25 units in 70 hands is roughly -2.6 standard deviations, if I have my calculations correct. Not impossible, but certainly on the improbable side.

As I previously posted, I lost my signup deposit+bonus in 8 10 hands at single deck blackjack here.

CS is definitely good though, as one might expect from Harrods.

Been in the States for a time ( not Las Vegas unfortunately ). On my return I found a few emails from Walter Gordon @ Harrods offering various promotions, but only can play for the last one which expired today.

It's the usual great offer from Harrods however, deposit 50, gamble 500 and they will reimburse losses upto 50.

This is a fantastic offer for players, I have just played and won more than 100.

You have to be really unlucky or a stupid gambler to lose on this offer.

Just regret I wasn't able to take advantage of the other promotions I missed whilst in the USA.

Still, I look forward to more great promotions from Harrods. I really think this is the best Casino out there due to its generous odds on the games and its inventive promotions which encourage you to try games which you wouldn't otherwise bother with and still have the advantage.

Of course I like 32Red, W.Hill ( just won over 100 at W. Hilll tonight so it's not just the money ) and Inter et al but they don,t offer the variety of promotions Harrods do which makes gambling interesting which is a key feature for me.

I'm with you mate! Seems we play the same casinos - and I agree Harrords is top-notch!
I only signed up with them in January this year, but have already benefited from about 5-6 of their great promo's, which they have nearly every week!

Couldn't make any profit from this latest one though - went well past the WR (to about 900 I think), but I just could not get well into the black. Ended up losing my 50 deposit, but of course, I will get that back!
(I hope this means I was unlucky, and not your other option... )

I agree with other posters concerns about their Blackjack. But that's no surprise really, because everywhere I play BJ I get such crap that I think ALL sites are 'dodgy' at best!

This martingale cr@p comes up every week. I always argue against it by imagining two people "martingaling" on a roulette wheel. One plays red and the other black. Who wins..... the casino

OK, so you bet 1 on Red - but it doesn't come in.
So you double to 2 - and miss.
Double to 4, miss.... etc.
Several spins later you are betting 2,048 on Red - just to make a 1 profit!

Who needs table limits? With that plan, you need brain surgery!

I've just downloaded their software and YES there are table limits , Maximum $100 on an outside bet.

The term "no limit" that they use refers to the number of bets you can put on the table, not the amount.

That way, when you get that 'unbelievable' run of 10 reds in a row, you would turn 1 into 1,024!
