Had my car window smashed just now

AHHHHHHHH!!!!,

I walked down stairs to get my car from the shopping centre as they are closing the carpark for Sunday night and my back window is smashed out and clothing etc stolen,, wtf..

two seconds later i get a call form the police, " can you please come in and make a statement, we have cought the MAN, what a grown man has done this?...
I would expect this from a kid not a bloody adult, this is the third time in two years around the same place that has security guards around...

I'm so pissed off right now

Man that sucks Same_Old, im telling you there are some crazy ass people out there.I hope your insurance will cover this, but then there is always that frigging deductable to pay, wonder if you still have to pay the deductable as it was done during a crime?...........laurie

I feel for you Same Old. I have had it happen twice here too. When I first bought this house in July 00 my truck window was bashed out and Blaupunkt radio stolen. The next day one of my new neighbors came by and told me it seems to be a "hazing" tradition in the neighborhood as it seems to happen to all newcomers once. Lovely!

Then April last I came home with a new PT Cruiser. I was so pleased with my shiny new car. The very first night the back window was smashed out. The BIG back window. I was apoplectic when I saw what was done. Cost $563 to replace it. For the next several nights I slept with one eye open. A few nights go by and about 2am I hear a car pull up, I go to the door and peak out and see two teens dressed in hoodies walking with a flash light as a fancy little car actually backs into my driveway. I fling open the door, shout out " OH NO YOU DON'T" and press the panic button on the new key. Headlights flash and siren wails. Those little fuckers just look towards my door, skurry into the idled waiting car and quietly drive off with their headlights off.

As my good ole Mum would say, our society is going to Hell in a handbasket.

No deductible would ever be charged for broken glass, damage incurred by hitting a deer, etc. etc., if you have or add "No Deduct Comprehension" to your auto policy. It's only a few more dollars cost above the usual policy premium.

Update, I went to the police station last night after work to make a statement, apparently i can claim victims compenstaion up to $500 so thats good, I got the window fixed today (secondhand one) for $340.

They said that the 2 offenders ( thought it was only one) did it right in front of the police , they were both sniffing fuel so they were off there heads. They had a baseball bat and just smashed the back window.

i will need to go to court at some stage but the police said nothing will happen to them, pretty pissed off about that to tell you the truth.

They have recently cut the times you can buy alcohol right down so on pension day's when the aboriginals get paid you can't buy any alcohol unless your a member at a private club or something.
It is pretty bad here at the moment.

the government has done this so they buy food for there kids etc so they can eat as they spend the whole pension on alcohol.

It's such a shame really, sad to see such a beautiful race and culture be overwhelmed by alcohol. dont get me wrong it's not all of them but I live near Ayres rock ( one of the seven wonders of thye world) and there is so many communities around here and they come into town and just drink them selves silly whilst a lot of good ones have no money to buy food or anything..

We introduced it all here to them so it is only ourselves to blame.
