GoWild - Another victim of their bogus T&Cs

Just a quick warning about GoWild casino. I have seen several posts on this site about their extremely shady and very deceptive terms and conditions and just want to add my experience with them.

I deposited $100 and took the 50% bonus (yeah...I know). I was going back and forth between 4 different slot games, one of them being a new one that I wanted to try (Buffalo Power) which I immediately I did not like. I managed to clear their playthrough obligations and cashed out $1400. As an FYI to all, their payout holding time has changed from a ridiculous 24 hours to a completely insane 48 hours...a mind-numbing 96 hours if including weekends!

I get an email telling me that they were voiding and keeping my winnings. The only explanation - "Please be advised that during the verification of your withdrawal they have noticed that our Bonus Terms and Conditions were breached." I asked the VIP Manager for more details. Apparently, when I played their new slot "it was found that while you were playing, and still having playthrough requirements to meet, you played on a game (Buffalo Power) which had no playthrough contribution. This is where the breach occurred." Why was no message displayed when I switched to this game to warn me? We all know why...

When I asked him how a player is supposed to now which games have no playthrough contribution, I was told "we expect our players to read the terms and conditions, regarding our bonuses and which games do and don’t contribute to wagering". Really? The terms do not specify the exact games that fall under this category and they made no reference whatsoever to Buffalo Power. So this requirement is intentionally deceptive and is there solely for the purpose of trapping players to void their winnings. To make matters even more confusing, a game with no playthrough contribution would have no effect on my 30X playthrough requirements, so why is this even an issue? Quite sleazy, I must say.

Another potentially intentional trap is their free spins bonus. Several weeks ago, I won some free spins spinning their prize wheel (you get a free spin with every deposit) and I used them right away and won nothing. However, ever since then, it still shows that I have 20 free spins in my account! When I click to use them, there are no free spins, but the 20 free spins do not disappear...ever! I am guessing that had they not voided my winnings with their "games with no playthrough contribution" nonsense, they would have voided them because of the free spins that show in my account, which they put there but don't actually exist.

So, they basically stole my $1400 winnings under the guise of their extremely deceptive terms and conditions, which they interpret in whatever way is most convenient to them. They can also change them at any time to void a player's winnings. My advice to anyone looking at an online casino - stay far, far away from GoWild. There's a reason they are no longer accredited here (they were when I joined and they deserved to be). But as far as I'm concerned, GoWild has changed drastically for the worse (unfortunately) and they should once again fall under the status of Rogue casino.

That's my story and hopefully it saves someone else a few headaches.

Playing a game with 0% contribution to WR should NOT void your winnings

You should 100% do a PAB - don't let them get away with this.

Even though GoWild claim that they are not related to all the GwCasino skins (we all know its a lie) PokieSpins used the exact same term on me last year after pumping ridiculous amounts of deposits through the place but finally hitting a 9k cash out which would have brought me close to even in deposits vs withdrawals.

The wins I did were obtained from other games which are allowed but with a 9k balance I thought I would try out a new game that I don't usually play and did 50 auto spins. Didn't really win or lose anything but it was 0% wagering so out came their lame excuse.

Because they knew they were in the wrong they allowed me to take 2k and even referred to a previous withdrawal where I played one or 2 games on the 0% wagering list but they allowed me to withdraw on that occasion.

They use that condition whenever they please, if you have lost a lot and the withdrawal is only for a small percent of that the cash out will be approved but as but as soon as it gets close to you not being profitable you will be voided.

Ended up closing my account not long after that, completely rogue.

Thanks everyone. I have reached out to my VIP Manager one last time to try to get this resolved before requesting PAB arbitration. We'll see how it goes, but I don't expect much. This new GoWild casino is far from the GoWild casino that once had accreditation at Casinomeister.

I'm not saying bonus money is bad, but it's not there to favour you either knowing the terms and conditions they throw at it. It's just another mouse-trap for players really.

Well, I still have received no reply at all from anyone at GoWild. They used to reply within a matter of a couple of hours in the past, but this is no longer the same casino it once was, so I’m not surprised. I will wait a bit longer and, foolishly, give them the benefit of the doubt before requesting a PAB. Such a shame that this casino has devolved to what it is today.

They are ruthless with enforcing their terms no matter how vague they are so I wouldn't be expecting a reply. They would rather lose a high depositing VIP player than pay them out that's how stupid that whole group of casino's are.

Before starting a PAB, I am trying to find the GoWild rep but there does not appear to be one. It used to be Gia, but she has not been here for almost a year now. Does anyone know who their rep is now? Do they even have one any more or has GoWild completely stopped caring about their customers and their business?

Ohhhhhh....

This casino stinks. Lol.

Ive taken the effort to signup here a week ago, first thing i did was file in documents for verification. If i cant get verified i'm not playing. I log in a week later, still not verified. I ran into chat, ask 'm to remove my account due to account not verified, they start telling me "upon your first deposit we will verify" ... like if that has anything todo with it.

Ive signed up to alot of casino's in the past and the first thing was being verified. Never a problem when not depositting. But this casino is bogus. I bet the verification proces would fail suddenly when you try to withdraw a huge sum.

They will delay it as long as possible (minimum 1 week) in the hope that the gambler gets bored and reverses their winnings the following weekend.

The final tipping point at Pokiespins (Go Wild may claim to be unrelated but I know its a lie and they just use the other one for AU) for me was when I was already verified for a long time, got carried away one weekend and turned a pending 1.4k cash out into 7k being reckless and requested the cash out 3am Monday morning.

All week it was not processed and I know its my fault but that Friday night I got bored and finally caved it hitting that lovely reverse button and lost it all in record time betting big.

If I lasted another weekend they probably would have finally processed it but I got to the point of either i'm going to hit something multiple times that or lose it and close my account and of course I closed my account right after that.

I'd like to try a bit of crazy time, that's why i signed up there due to the lack of live games here in Portugal. But looking at the way they do; f that. If any casino takes itself seriously they'd verify you the same day. They proces your payments within 24 hours (who the hell invented a one week withdrawl proces time lol) and dont have vague T&C's or come up with a deposit verification.

I mean if i am able to deposit with a CC it should match the verification documents i send into the first place. If not then alarm bells should ring over there, but i bet their security department only considers a problem upon withdrawl.

My cousin got extremely lucky at the one I mentioned and closed my account and they stalled her for weeks on ID in the end even asking for notarized documents off of her. Initially a 10k withdrawal but using reverse she got it to over 20 at one point but finally stopped playing when it was down to 15k and did eventually get the money however it took almost a whole month of them stalling and hoping she would reverse and lose the lot like I did.

She also closed her account right after.

They obviously have no skill in player retention and would rather lose a player as long as they get away with not being liable to pay them.

These tactics, are on the edge of legal / rogue, but still within the spectrum of what can and what can not. But the mentality is obvious to payout as less as possible, so they apply these tactics. 9 out of 10 gamblers would have spunk the cash after 3 weeks already. They know it works.

This is why i never proceeded into playing at all. A casino that instantly processes my documents and like really shows they are there and doing their duty as it should, deserve credit.

Such a huge shame as well because they used to be such a good casino that cared about players when they were MG only but they went multi platform just before the new AU law came into effect (2017), clearly so that they can retain the AU market using GWCasino and all the other current spin offs since like Pokiespins since MG (along with NetEnt) said a hard no to AU once that law came into effect and they wouldn't have been able to continue serving us if they stayed MG only.

No idea if they sold themselves off to another owner that only cares about profit at that point or if less and less of the AU market (due to their own doings) is affecting their profits where they are in a negative cycle of going more and more rogue to try and retain the same amount of profit.

It is'nt the first time either. Some have a excellent rep. Shit gets sold off. The new owner does things in a different way and boom there goes everything the brand and name ever worked or deserved.

Usually takes a while, but over time that same brand will turn into another rogue casino to avoid.

Best thing that has happenned in the UK is banning reversals , at a stroke it has stopped 90% of the stalling
tactics as the casinos know it wont do anything for them any more.Still got the few that are resorting to
t and c stupidity to try and avoid paying but they are far less likely to get away with it and risk more PAB,s.
Also the processing times for withdrawals at mecca and grosvenor have been reduced to from a couple of days to couple of minutes on visa.
The casinos must hate it but realize faster withdrawals mean faster redeposits

You should 100% do a PAB - don't let them get away with this.

I'd love to be able to help but GoWild is very much "talk to the hand" when it comes to player complaints from third party ADRs like us. IF they reply to a PAB, which they almost never do, it is simply to say that the player must follow the procedure proscribed in the Terms meaning "take it to our designated ADR".

Next logical step for UKGC after banning reverse option is mandatory 4-5 days pending period to reduce players to re-deposit their winnings right away which happens more if you get your winnings within minutes instead of few days cool off. Would fit perfectly to their list of help of vulnerable players...

Seems to be shutting down soon...

From another forum:

"After 12 years of successful operations, we have made a strategic decision to shut down GOWILD operations, effective as of December 31, 2020."

Now it wouldn't surprise me if they take their entire player base and open another casino. They started off OK - Then became accredited - then lost their accreditation. In the end their sly ways caught up with them.

Nate

Well. I suspect this may be the main reason they are not paying out any more. I feel bad for anyone that decides to waste their money at GoWild as they will most likely never see any winnings they may get. The money will definitely only flow in one direction (into the casino) if they are shutting down in December.
