Thought I'd share a good experience recently:

New poker room from the established casino family.
Good welcome bonus of 100% upto $50. You must earn 250 POP points on a $50 deposit to release....1 POP point earned per 10c contributed in rake. As you can earn these POP points at any limit this a good place for those starting out, or with a limited bank roll.

Players were very loose (and Canadian mostly!) at $1/$2 Holdem limit tables. 50-60% flops on the 10max tables were the norm.
Traffic was relatively low, 1000 or so during peak hours. So if you like playing at higher limits this may not be the place for you. Though this does make their freerolls relatively good value.

The software is smooth, though uninispired. The pre-select 'check', 'fold' etc buttons are too small for multitablers IMO.

I did OK and cashed out after 2 weeks, I was paid in 24hrs.

Overall a

Thats a horrible sign up bonus. Many threads with horror stories.

ABSOLUTE LIE YOU ARE A LIAR.

What on earth are you talking about?

The bonus in question is equivalent to 200% rakeback.

Can you direct me to the horror stories? I haven't heard any, and I haven't lied one bit ty very much. I played there 2 weeks ago, when did you?

Thanks for the constructive post btw. Unbelievable.

Edit: Found a thread here about EH casino problems, nothing else via google.

I didn't know they did poker now. Looks like you edited your post to show that you found the recent threads about EH. I guess they're not like they used to be. I haven't played there in a few years.

But your mention of "POPs" sounds like the Action Poker Network, which includes Tiger Gaming and Nine Poker and I don't know what others. I downloaded Tiger once, just to look at it. They've got some different games, like Chinese Poker (whatever that is) and Panguine. Pan used to be very popular in California, especially Los Angeles, in the "old days".

Sounds like a decent bonus. In light of the recent issues with EH, it might be worth checking out whether you are allowed to join more than one room on that network. Could be a problem. I don't know.

Don't know if this helps, Paul but if Nine Poker is using Action Poker Network then its likely to be EH's choice too - they're both members of the Leisure and Gaming group.

English Harbour did poker a while back. Odds On owned an anchor of their network called Bigbetpoker.com. Several Oddson casinos linked to it. It went bust and players got paid all or most of their funds. I think I was one of the few that they only paid 90% to due to it being one of their bigger cashouts.

Since they are now on a stable network (Action Gaming with rooms such as Tiger Gaming, Nine, Bicycle etc) there is no issue with getting paid at all. The network has some of the worst players ive ever seen. Many of these bigger casinos have learned their lesson trying to build a standalone poker room. Most are learning owning a skin with little or no liability is the way to go.

guts

i played a different game on superiorpoker (actiontellernetwork)

it was called guts...

this is more a sort of rolling the dice then poker but very very fun...
here is a little explanation:

each one had to ante then you get 3 cards, which can be seen as tri card poker except the straight is higher then a flush (costed me some money to found out :eek2: )
you have the option to call or fold, when you call you have the showdown with other players for the pot.

but now it gets interesting:
when you lose the showdown, you have to put the ammount (equal to the pot you just lost) in for the next round.. (betting in the dark)

so lets say a 10 cents table
so pots where after 4 rounds of no calls from players was risen to 5 dollars, then 4 people called (obviously 3 lost) and then 3 players had to put in the 5 each for the next round. so a great build up and truly a reminder to the word GUTS..

its a welcome distraction if you are tired of holdem and just want to play some sort of sidegame

you should try it!

I last logged in last thursday @ Midnight GMT. 3500 players online at 450 tables.
Limit Holdem there were two tables for each of $1/$2, $2/$4, $5/$10 and $10/$20.

I never noticed this before but I couldnt find any shorthanded tables?
