GoldenArchCasino - Has this happened to anyone else?

I usually click into each section and do a 'control f' find... there's got to be an easier way with google advanced search... hmm Yip, here it is. Note the domain to search at lower right.

For the record, or, anyone who wants to check out the history of a URL try using CM's helper www.waybackmachine.org

Here is a look-up on Golden Arch:

xxxhttp://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.goldenarchcasino.com
(remove xxx from URL).

Pay special attention to the link associated to Nov 21 2003...

From memory Golden Arch popped up late 2005 with some fuzzy software that looked really crappy. The entire casino suite amounted to 2 single line slots, 1 video poker and a couple of table games.

I'd first seen this software appeared a few years earlier. It was being used in some type of scam where by players would sign-up use free credits at the free casino and then transfer winnings into the real casino (using the same software). I believe the concept was a way in which to harvest personal details and such...They seemed to target the ezboard crowd and for the time where raking in a lot of suckers.

Finally when the penny dropped they closed up quickly.

Reiterating, Golden Arch used the same software At the time they were offering $20 free. All I know is the casino closed 3-4 weeks later.

I wouldn't have connected the two places but for the line of credit. I clearly remember when they closed the doors they had something about returning with new software...blah...blah...blah and a rave about this line of credit option for USA players.

Things like this you remember.

I also remember that the casino using this flaky software looked very much like a cheap version of the (old style) intercasino website. Maybe this will jog a few old timers memories :D

Well that's about all I have on this place. IMHO they belong exactly where CM has housed them

Direct Mail Spam from Rogue

Just bumping this thread so folks will check the rogue section, Golden Arch is in the CasinoMeister cautions section there. https://www.casinomeister.com/rogue-casinos/

Yesterday, I get in the mail, not in a plain brown wrapper, but shining bright for God, the Postmaster, anyone to see: A $300 pre-approved credit offer from these guys and my USERNAME is printed right on it. Sweet. Their card services 'processor' is right there too. WTF is up with that?

A little discretion in marketing would be appreciated.

I'm not concerned personally with the credit offer, that's okay by me as I had enough heads up by reading how it worked. But it could suck if you just thought they gave you a bonus or something when actually they hit your checking account for the funds.

I am not going to play at a casino that denies winnings by saying that a player transposed two numbers of their checking account info over the phone, and who has no voice recording to prove that their CSR isn't simply dislexic.

Too bad, really. I like variety. But the only golden arches you'll see me under is for .99 parfait at mickey d's.

They are gutsy, desperate or both and THANK THE CASINO GODS I read about them here! They called our house Friday and asked for my husband who wasn't home anyway. I told him their story and if they call again to tell them to get lost!! Now, I would like to know why they called him? Previous relationship with a rogue casino (before I found this web-site) and deleted all the bad boys or just out of the blue? Hhhmmm..makes you wonder how they get their info:confused:

Sure he never registered there? Wow.

They are either sloppy marketers or they got my info somewhere else too as they offered a ndb to create an account... no, they had my username right on the 'credit card'.

They called me within a few minutes of opening my account (before they were rogued) but it was 'just to make sure the games were working alright'

I DO get a little creeped out when a costa rican sportsbook calls me up:eek2: but mostly don't mind casinos keeping in touch, to each his own there.

He has never heard of them. Also he has never downloaded a casino..that's what I'm here for:p

I know, people don't really like bumps :D

But I figured it should be kept in peoples faces, this IMHO is far worse than anything Virtual Casino Group has ever done. (yep another Costa Rica Casino).

Another reason why you should be wary of playing at any casino in Costa Rica, they are simply NOT Licensed.

Cheers

Just off the top of my head this is how they work:

  • You deposit $25 and they automatically 'post up' a loan to your account.
  • They'll be taking that money out of your bank account, win or lose.
  • Now you have to play through your own money 25x or something ridiculous before you can withdraw it.
  • You have to have a balance of $200 or $300 to withdraw.

From the PaB section: They were able to discern a persons checking account nuber well enough to take the deposit, but when it came time to payout, all of a sudden there was a reversed or transposed two number sequence, so the player was obviously a fraudster and won't be paid. No recording, no documentation of the person reading these numbers over the phone to the customer service person.

Good bump, Trezz:thumbsup:

Considering I live in a jurisdiction where gambling debts are not legally enforcable, this credit line deal is effectively a rather large sticky bonus, if one were so inclined...

Too bad I have the morals to honour my debts :)

Pretty sure they only offer it to people they can collect from :D <suckers/marks>

There are probably better wagering requirements out there for ya :)

Actually, I can imagine how this concept came about... not a terrible idea, just poorly executed... and the PaB item is just incompetent rogue bumble if not truly evil.

Care to respond Archie? I kinda like your slots... but.. how could I trust the software if the bumble is this big. Get your stuff audited, clean up your offers, not to mention your transactionisms, and you might have a shot. But as it sits, it just ain't worthy - and smells like crap.

I'd like to see all casinos come into the light, honest I would.

Make the effort, and I'll fight for ya, for whatever that's worth.

Hi all,

I am new here but am compelled to post.

I understand this casino has been moved from the "rouge" to "proceed with caution" section.

I am sure most of you are aware that the $300 credit line is automatically added as soon as you deposit. Therefore I call it forced. Then, the terms are not forthright. If you look in the withdrawal section it states:

8. Notwithstanding item 6 above, you are subject to a requirement to play your line of credit a minimum of 30 times.

If you look in the Credit Line terms, funny it's not there. Only in the withdrawal section.

Players are burned. I've seen it. Then just not pay it, right? No. One player I know is afraid not to pay it because he fears since he is in a banned state, he will be sent to a collection agency. There are newbies getting hurt.

He continues to get a bill. And continues to feel compelled to pay it even though he is extremly angry. He won $700 and cashed out. only to be told he had to play through 30x equaling $9000. Mind you, that is NOT in the credit line terms and conditions.

This casino needs to change this asap. They keep saying they will but they haven't and it's been some time now. In the current climate of the UIGEA this is serious business.

Thank you for letting me rant. I am passionate on this. Every day that this credit line is available is a bad day. This is not a bonus, it is money the player pays back. Why in the world would there be a playthrough on it. I could see a $25 fee or something but $9000?

Regards,
Mojo

Thanks mojo:thumbsup:

Again, good bump trezz:thumbsup:

But I still think any of these 'rogues' can be brought into the light :)

No quarter.

Hmm... lojo... mojo... who's next, nojo? :p

This is an excellent seg-way for rogue affiliates, because nobody here promotes this current rogue.

Keep in mind, these guys were in communications with Bryan per this thread, about their 'letter of credit'. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, regardless of that intitial converstion... I want them to meet a standard... Fair Game.

I get it a nOObish attack as follows:

Often, but not always, noobs will attempt to communicate in their own primitive language, known as "n00bish." It is a variant of the hacker language that exposes them as having little intelligence or will to learn. Here is an example of some noobish. Do not attempt to comprehend it: it cannot be discerned without professionals at hand.

stFU /../..an, i r teh r0xx0rz liek emin3m, u cna go tO EHLL OR ATLE4St help m3 wit hthIS!!111!!!!!!!1~~1!!`` !! LOLLOLOLLOLOLlOoLLOlollLL l u n00b

Although you may find this unbelievably funny and/or annoying, it is best to restrain yourself and keep from talking back to them, as they are very territorial and easily angered. This will result in their attempted verbal abuse of you, possibly backed up by other noobs, because they work in packs when doing offensive tasks. It is not an easy task to learn this language because our intelligent accent will keep it from sounding quite right when spoken. You can write some simple noobish of your own, however, by slamming your face into your keyboard repeatedly.

Geeze I got banned for this sort of behaviour.
