A little over an hour ago, the Gold Rally progressive slot machine paid out $2.7 million! :eek2:

The jackpot now stands at $77,000. The Gold Rally jackpot rises by roughly $40,000 every day, so (in theory) the jackpot should be above $1 million again in about a month.

You can see a graph of the win by visiting the jackpot site in my signature. :)

The current top 5 Playtech progressive jackpots are as follows:

Beach Life -- $640,291
Megaball -- $186,083
Jackpot Darts ($3) -- $185,589
Progressive Blackjack -- $138,582
Jackpot Darts ($2) -- $121,885

jcvdd, I'm sorry you feel that way. A jackpot win of this magnitude is big news (in my opinion), and I thought others would be interested. If I hadn't posted about it, I think someone else would have. I'm sure that there will be additional posts about this, either from Playtech or from the casino where the win occurred. :)

I've found the jackpotgraphs site extremely useful!

Hopefully they add some other casino software providers soon.
Thanks ugaboga. :) There are 8 different software providers on the site as of now (MGS, Playtech, Crypto, OddsOn/Vegas Technology, RTG, Slotland, Jackpotjoy, and WagerWorks). I'm hoping to add Rival as soon as they launch their first progressive game. Aside from those listed, did you have any specific suggestions on who else you'd like to see?

Slow down guys... LOL... as Dave knows, those of us tracking jackpots don't have access to anything other than the numbers. The first you'll hear of it is when the casino announces it after everything has been verified.

(and don't ask me - I don't know either :D )

2.7 million? Wouldn't even get me out of bed.... Well...unless they sent some beautiful babe to deliver it to me of course, then I might wander down, see what all the fuss was about.

Playtech announces major progressive jackpot winner

Reports that a significant Playtech progressive jackpot had been hit (see previous InfoPowa report) were confirmed today (last Monday) when the turnkey provider announced that its WinAJackpot.com has delivered a jackpot payout topping the $2.7 million mark.

Winajackpot is the first progressive network to combine online, mobile and landbased jackpots via Playtech and its subsidiary Videobet. Winajackpot.com member Andres V. was the lucky player who became a multi-millionaire on Saturday, October 27th by taking home Gold Rally's biggest jackpot ever of $2 738 050 while playing at Casino Las Vegas.com.

Since its launch the Wild West themed Gold Rally has paid out more than $30 million to numerous lucky jackpot winners, boasts Playtech. The game is offered across Playtech's entire cross-platform product range, prominently featuring in mobile and landbased offerings in addition to the well-known online version.

Mor Weizer, Playtech CEO commented that "Gold Rally's latest jackpot has once again shown that Playtech is committed to delivering highly attractive games to the industry. Wins like this bring about an increased popularity in the game, leading to more wins in shorter periods of time. Playtech congratulates Andres and wishes him lots of luck in the future".
