Hi y'all,

I'll be cruising the exhibition hall of the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Exhibition for the next couple of days. If there are any player issues or questions that you'd like to have answered, please post them here.

I'll be chasing down Kahnawake, Neteller, RTG - and the other usual suspects BTW :D

Alright everyone, let's all just act normal, as if we have nothing to hide.
Remember, he has eyes in the back of his head.

LOL.

Bryan: can you find out from Neteller what date their new card is out? And what RTG are doing about their rogue licencees? On and while you are there, ask RTG & MG if they have plans to put a player-defined Reverse Withdrawal time in place  And finally, whether either of them had considered launching an ATM card that was compatible across all their licencces!

Neteller - policy on chargebacks by merchants - Prime Casino issue.

Issues with NON-US players suffering from "UIGEA style" payment delays, Playtech not being able to pay out by Neteller last month.

Poor CS, leading to players being given wrong information and then being punished for following it by casino upper management, usually by having winnings voided or accused of "fraud".

The use of the "FU clause" rather than better design of T & C.

Microgaming - Many casinos are bending the rules over EZBonus (original design had a loophole, now widely exploited by advantage players), but problems are caused by the software being unable to implement the changes, AND by the standard banking screen being unalterable by operators (so they claim - Prime casino), which can lead to a conflict of terms between the banking page (always seen on withdrawal), and the website, where changes may be missed.

Extremely poor treatment of US players when operators pull out of the market, recent cases include Roxy Group - zero notice giving no chance for players to redeem comps and request withdrawals through normal channels.

Bryan, I've already sent you a PM about the Action Online problem... sorry, I didn't know this topic existed. Please contact the KGC and PlayTech... they already have my e-mails but chose to do nothing about it. Thank You !

Good point, but overall I would say software support for bonuses are a problem for many platforms and not just MG. Especially Playtech and RTG. And bonuses is the biggest source of player disputes.

Intercasino has a perfect solution. When you claim the coupon (and with success) you can see what games are allowed and you can see how much of the wagering you have fullfilled.

Both RTG and Playtech have often bonus where some games are not allowed at all (compared to where some does not count for wagering). Why not have the casino software preventing players to play those games while they still have wagering requirements.

Why does some RTG casino (rogue groups) not show the remaining wagering requirements when the software supports this. This should be manditory for RTG casinos. RTG has a similar coupon system as Intercasino but the casinos abuse it. When and if a coupon is accepted they should are bound to the rules for that coupon and can not change TV on the webpage later.

This is a simple overall solution for bonuses/coupons:
1)When claiming a bonus or coupon the information (T&C) should be stored together with the wagering requirements. This can not later be changed. If a casino want to change the T&C they simply set the current coupon to expired so players can not claim it, and they they create a new coupon. The information needed is:
a)wagering requirement remaining
b) list of games that count for wager
c) List of disallowed games and the software should prevent players from playing these games
d) max cashout or other similar extra requirements.

The MG EZbonus was a good simple solution also, but some casinos are bending the rules as vinylweatherman writes.

Btw. both Wagerworks and Rival (and Intercasino) has a good bonus system that is supported by the software. It is possible!

Bryan:

Edward Leyden and Eric M. Berstein (President and Council of iMEGA, respectively) are scheduled to speak on Thursday. If you happen to bump into them, perhaps you can get some more info on this (give them a big fat kiss from me :D):

The Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (iMEGA) filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales; IMEGA's objective is to halt the enforcement of the UIGEA.

The Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Reserve are also named in the lawsuit accompanied by the request of Temporary Restraints to Halt Enforcement of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA) and Resume Internet Gambling.

Thanks, and have a great time!

What do you two mean exactly by "Casinos bending the rules" with flexi-bonuses?
Are you referring to them making players complete the full WR rather than being able to withdraw anytime?

I agree Crypto's are way ahead of the others for knowing how your bonus WR is going, and WagerWorks is good too.
MG's where the remaining bonus balance shows when you hover over your balance is pretty good too.
So like you say, why can't the other softwares do something similar?
(Rhetorical question - we all know the real answer to that!)

Yes...
The problem with this is that the casinos that did this - is that they did not change their normal bonus page information nor the bank withdrawal page on the casino. I saw this on Prime casino myself. These pages stated you can withdraw your non-bonus money at any time and the description of the 'bonus' balance is wrong. And the software still allows you to make the withdrawal and the whole point of releasing the bonus in chunks of 10$ is now utterly meaningless.

It is not an EZBonus and using the EZBonus supported by the software is wrong and indeed bending the rules for the EZbonus. Besides it hurts the MG brand that the EZBonus is not an EZBonus at some casinos. Very confusing indeed.

And we'd like that captured on film please. :D

All joking aside, this IS pretty big news and I too would like to know more. Lots0 mentioned in a post that he has been unable to find the actual legal filing, and which court is was filed in. Could you find that out as well Bryan? Thanks. :)

Bryan, I enjoyed reading your insider's report from the GIGSE.

You said there were some payment processors in attendance. Did you have a chance to speak with Neteller representatives about the issues raised in this thread?

Oops - missed this.

Neteller wansn't there. The payment processors were companies that I was pretty much out of touch with. Nothing of real interest for the player - maybe for the DoJ :p

as an insiders tradeshow, what does it take to get registered at the GIGSE?
$$ you can sign up via Old / Expired Link but you're kinda late :p

For players interested in these events, I'd recommend the ICE. It's huge and FREE and is held every January in London.
