WINDOWS CASINO!

HA HA HA

They have an article comparing 'two of the internet's most popular casinos'. It's a puff piece, just PR from each site. Did Inter agree to be compared alongside the internet's most notorious crooks? Quote re Windows: 'Players put a lot of trust in a casino when sending money and sensitive personal and financial information, and nothing can be more frightening than encountering a problem and having no one to turn to. That's why Windows Casino provides a dedicated customer-support staff - available around the clock - that can be reached through a variety of methods, including e-mail and real-time chat.'

Just as a reminder, Windows is the casino so crooked, Bryan has given up helping people ripped off by them.

Oh well, just another ad-driven magazine with no principles or care for its readers. I wonder if Intercasino knows they are being assessed in this way.

From GOM >>
"With the sought after Player Seal of Approval awarded to it by eCOGRA, Roxy Palace is secure, licensed, and trusted."
Have never rated GOM very highly myself either, although even as one who is not an inter fan, comparing them with Windows is certainly stretching the boundaries.

GOM is now owned by an outfit called Players Publishers, who have a parked domain right now and are in the UK it appears.

We have been trying for the past few days to persuade them to disclose more information about themselves but they have not thus far been forthcoming because our point of contact had to "check with the directors"

Why this straightforward information about a public media should require this sort of "approval" is uncertain.

Word in the industry is that Eric Morris of Bluff Media (who used to provide his very experienced services to GOM on a contract basis) has seperated from GOM.

The annual awartds from this magazine are due for release this month, and some of these have already been leaked by their own advertising solicitations.

Most of these pertain to sportsbooks. The casino side of things have been pretty much left out. Move along -- not much creativity or interesting stuff to look at here...

Disagree - there are a number of online casino and watchdog company awards (Casinomeister has been the top dog for some time in the latter category).

This still does not explain the apparent reticence on the magazine's part to disclose ownerhip information, number of players voting this year, intentions for the future, price paid for the mag etc etc

That was then - this is now. I meant the current state. This year there are only awards for Sportsbooks. I never saw anything that dealt with casinos.

In previous years they had categories for "Best Forum" "Best New Casino Portal" "Best Watchdog" (Casinomeister 2002, 2003, 2004), "Best Portal" etc. These awards were much different than the "Best Casino" sort of stuff since most portals just asked people to vote from their hearts - there were no incentives. Casinos always seemed to give players an extra bonus to vote.

Unless I missed something, I was disappointed that they skipped the casino side of things altogether. That's what I meant by "no creativity - not interesting". When you create a poll, there are a lot of cool things you can do with it. They choose not to - but that's their prerogative. :D

I think that I must have requested for a copy of the GOM at least half a dozen times during the past 2 years. I have not even received a single copy. Maybe its too expensive to send this to Hong Kong.

If I remember correctly, GOM conducted this year's readers poll in phased manner. They collected votes for casinos in somewhere around July or August and then did it for sportsbook.

This forum does wonders. Right after my post above, all of a sudden I received a copy of the GOM. Talking of coincidences.
