Ok this is about using Visa gift cards to fund play. I don't have any accounts with WP, ewallet, moneybookers, etc. I just go buy a gift card when I am in the mood.
It's been a while since I have deposited, yesterday I felt like trying again.
Went and bought my card as usual. Then the day from hell started.
It appears the good folks at Visa Gift cards have caught on to the transaction codes being used by online casinos. Even the places that claim they don't send it through as "gaming" got shot down. The card is good as I eventually got it to go through fine at a CW casino, but not before trying at Titan and Inet (yes I waited some time in between as I know they reject if you try too soon).
Inet says they can't be used there because they put it through as a gaming transaction. That threw me off as it was my first time trying to dep. there and I thought all onlines cloaked the charge.
OK so I moved on to Titan. Even though I have used these cards with Titan before with no issues it suddenly became a problem, Even the poor rep. who tried to help me out was stymied. Their charges are supposed to go through as store purchases, yet I called the Visa peeps and they said NO GAMBLING CHARGES allowed.
I don't know if they are really starting to crack down and look more carefully or I just ran into a bad bad day with this thing. It sure seems like they KNOW what the charges are even if they say "onlinestore.com" or whatever is used to make it look OK to charge.
Since this is my preferred way of funding (less hassle) I think I am gonna have to learn to deal with not playing much anymore.
Does anyone else use these cards and have you noticed issues recently?
PS- also tried at BetPhoenix, also a big NOPE

. Yeah I could do that stuff, but at this point I think I will hold off and see how things shake down with the US.
