Announcement Forum upgrade heads up

Okay - some minor issues at the moment, but I'm reopening the forum since I know some people here need their daily/nightly fix :p

There are still a number of templates that I'm working on fixing. But if you notice something glitchy, please let me know by posting it here. One thing that may be an issue is that the URL rewriting software is not functioning properly. The forum URLs were rewritten as an html link; they are now defaulting to the php ones. :(

If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it. :D

You can look forward to these new exciting changes:

* Many fixes for php 5.4 compatibility.
* MAPI updates for Mobile 1.5
* Facebook updates due to changes by Facebook
* PayPal updates due to changes by PayPal.
* Update to recognise IE11 User Agent
* Fix Import/export of Navigation Manager (Open new page flag)
* A couple of security updates in the installer & Forum Runner.
* Added the Panjo online community marketplace plug-in.
* A number of other major bugs held over from 4.2.1

The main thing is to have the software 100% updated - this way I know it's secure and I can add new features without worrying that they will soon be obsolete.
 
While you're on fixing things, I had promised to remind you of fixing the bug preventing us to see page 2 and up on our profile comments and friends list.
I'm counting on you to do that now:)
 
I don't know if this is related to what you are working on, but I am suddenly getting a lot of pop up spam when I click on different links inside and out of the Forum. I don't use the pop-up blocker because it blocks things I need. I have never had this issue here previously. in fact in the middle of typing this a pop up ad appeared.

There are no pop ads at Casinomeister. Seems like you may have some scum-ware installed on your computer. Give Ad-aware a try:

Not sure if it's related to the upgrade Bryan but I received 3 email notifications for the "I could use your input" mass email and I had 2 identical copies in my CM inbox.
 
Might not be related to the upgrade, but the page is "flashing" in a very strange way when viewing a thread if I scroll or move the mouse (does NOT do it when viewing the main menu list of threads). As I type now, the screen flashes with each key I hit. Might be the laptop - I'll try re-booting in a minute - but I was viewing normally a few hours ago and other websites and forums are completely normal.
Windows 7 & ie8.

Edit: OK - the re-boot cured it - sorry for the false alarm!

Have you checked your 'add-ons' for the browsers you're having trouble with? I had some ad thing appear after some browser toolbar got installed (without my permission!) and I deleted it but it left this other crap behind. Worth taking a look if you haven't already.

If it's working fine in Chrome then it must be a browser issue. You probably have some weird plugin or add-on that's causing this. If you are using Internet Explorer, please check out his page to disable add-ons:

Good comment, Chrome add-ons do tend to have more control than wanted IMO, I use Firefox where their permissions are restricted to a greater degree.

Check the add or remove programs section in the Operating System and then nuke any toolbars.
