Hi everyone,

Ever since in my experience I am on Windows 8 64bit operating system. Two different type of casino but both very similar software structure of RTG and Nuworks download casino. They both will not work with Winodws 8 operating system since it is very new operating system still at young age at this stage. I believed that they are still working on to fix the problem to it (it'll probably take some times to). RTG and Nuworks work fine with Windows XP on Virtualbox I am running though. Using Windows 8, I get error is DL not available on both of these casino unfortunately so a file or more is not working with Windows 8 that needs to run casino to make it work. So it is very frustrating for some customer who gets error on windows 8. Probably best stick to older o/s for those two casino especially Windows XP. You can have it on Virtualbox and run it from there as a virtual operating system. Its pretty cool though!

Thats because Windows 8 is THE biggest load of utter tripe to come out of Microsoft in the last ten years. I even rate it worse than vista. A complete steaming pile of dog turd. I`d rather crawl across broken glass with my flies undone than use this pitiful exscuse of an operating system. I returned it to the shop and re installed Windows 7 within 2 days of getting it. Sorry rant over. And of course is my own opinions :p

I too have problems with RTG on Windows 8.

This is the error I get on any RTG attempt.

However RTG says that they have "alot" of Windows 8 users that work just fine, and mine was an only problem, that my connection to my internet provider was just too slow for their software.----I have a high speed WiFi connection and a brand new computer.

Yep, nothing seemed to work on windows 8, the interface is diabolical. Its tried to be something that a pc operating system isnt a cross over hybrid blending console, phone and computer technology into 1. The biggest lemon to come our way in this decade and id bet on that :D

Plus---its ugly

The opening page is absolutely(substitute start up list)---UGLY!

I switch to the desktop immediately.

Right, I use win8 and I hated it at first, but it's grown on me since.
Anyway, all casinos work fine on it IF you opt for Internet Explorer 10 32-bit. DO NOT use the 64-bit IE as you will have grief from many apps, some antivirus programmes which install in the IE toolbar plus some flash/download casinos.
If the OP switches to 32-bit IE and clears her cache, I'd suggest she will be OK.

Still No Go

Thanks for your help, but I just tried it again. I have IE 10 as well as Firefox. I get the same error with either one.

I am able to use the Flash Casino for Inetbet, but they don't have as many games.

Anyway---One does get "used" to win8 except for those annoying "charms" that keep dashing in from the side when my mouse strays.

Progress!

Yes, but on win8 you can opt for either the 32 or 64 bit version of IE10. There are many compatibility issues with the 64-bit version, so the 32-bit version gives the same performance as the IE9 you were used to on win7.

Where is IE 32 bit?

I checked and I have the 64bit version (came with the pc). How do I download the 32bit version?

I checked with Microsoft and they just said "you already have the 64 bit installed".

I'm sure there is a simple answer, but I don't know where it is.

Thanks

Hi, yeah silly microsoft put Microsoft IE 64bit on by default for Windows 8. But in windows 7 you can use 32 bits. Such shame really. Thats what I figured out as well. Thats why I am forced to use other browser like firefox and hardly had any problem. Microsoft IE is often giving me hard time when apps crash. I avoid latest version of Google Chrome also it keep crashing like crazy.

Slotocash, Miami Club, and Prism all worked with Windows 8 so far, I haven't had any other casino issues. Are you using a tablet or a regular notebook? Apparently the tablet version doesn't support everything that the notebook version does.

Right here's how to enable the 32-bit version of IE10:
Open Internet Explorer 10 on the desktop, Click the Settings cog up the top right corner of the window. Then click 'Internet Options'.
Click the Advanced tab, Scroll down until you see Enable Enhanced Protected Mode* and untick the box next to it, Click OK, close and Restart Internet Explorer. IF the box is already unticked, you are running 32-bit anyway and your problem lies elsewhere.
You want to see it ticked like this as it means you are in 64-bit mode and that is likely the issue.

This is what you will see if you are on 64-bit. UNTICK it and close and restart browser if you do.:)

I have found a sudden onset of display errors, and I quickly bought this new PC in order to steer clear of Windows 8 being compulsory. It seems Windows Update recently upgraded me to IE 10, and it seems this is the cause of many of the problems. One suggestion is to roll back to IE 9, or to disable the 64 bit version. Windows 8 users are more screwed though, as it came with IE 10 by default, and I am not sure a rollback to IE 9 is possible.

The problem with casino clients is that they tend to ignore the user's choice of browser and go for the native IE found in the system. This might explain why changing to Firefox as default has not eliminated the problem.

Hi Dunover,, btw thanks for helping with my WIN8 "snip" and notice I was able to do 2 but still not yet sure what the hell I am doing

Anyway a bit off topic....you seem tp know windows 8 . Can you tell me one good feature of win8. Honestly, I have known 3 persons in my neighborhood who
had windows 8 and after 2 days unistalled win8 and went to win7 instead.
Microsoft sure made a booboo here.

For example all those apps on the start page I dont use of of them, so I do what another poster here did , leave it on desktop.

One more question Each time I have a withdrawal, I uninstall the casino till i get paid no reversal I fond it difficult to find the control panel in order to unistall
Is there an easy way tot access it without using "search"
thanks genius

Both of my desktop and laptop windows 8 will not work with any RTG and Nuwork casino. Thats why I had to be forced to use the Virtualbox and installed Windows XP as a virtual machine only to use those. I will give it a try and see if I turn off enhance security see if it helps. I let you know what happen next. It has already been unticked unfortunately so no go.

Has anyone contacted RTG or NuWorks about this. Quite often when there is an update to Windows OP then it is the responsibility of the software provider to get their software working in the new system. Microsoft are notorious for bringing out new updates that are not compatable with old OP's (I think that's how they make so much money still), but its the software providers job to get their house in order.

Yes, it's a piece of p!ss. Hover don't click your mouse arrow right in the BOTTOM LEFT CORNER of your screen - you will see a miniaturized dark blue picture of your win8 APP start screen (the one you don't use and if you go on it you select the desktop button..). Right click on this and you'll get this list.....

And there it is 5th one up!:)

I have already post to i rep about those both casino Buzzluck and Slotocash. They have already sent problem about windows 8 to the technical to have a look at and hopefully they provide update as soon as they can but it will take some times. I will get notification from them once they have newer version available.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we have been awaiting RTG.
I have copied their response below for you, it seems that there is an issue with your internet connection, causing delays between info packets received and therefore causing it to fail.
You may be able to take this up with your internet supplier.
Sorry I cannot offer any better news on this.
Kind regards
CSR Brian

Thanks for the information. By looking at the time it takes for each hop
to reach we can conclude the internet connection at player side is
presenting problems. It is taking over 10 seconds for a single package to
travel from player's end to RTG servers. Unfortunately the product can't
operate under these circumstances.

Please ask the player to review the internet connection, furthermore to
check with the internet provider as the ping times are way too slow.
appreciated.
Best regards,
RTG Support

Have to admit those appear to be some seriously bad latency times. Do you have other sort of connection problems when using other internet activities? if your on DSL try www.speedtest.btwholesale.com and see what ping latency is being reported on your connection . Another good tool to test your broadband quality is www.pingtest.net which does a exhaustive analysis of your line quality and reports back to you.

By the Way

My speed may be too slow----but it is 1 GBPS on a WiFi connection.

How fast can you get.

MaryJean

p.s.

Thanks for all of the helpful info, I shall try resetting to 32bit per instructions
and let you all know what happens.

Speed is only one part of broadband. Access times in my opinion is far more important than throughput speed. You could have 50 Mb but if theres a problem on your line or with your service it will reduce accessing anything to a crawl.

One thing you can try is after running those tests and if it is indeed bad is hook your pc upto a direct line connection rather than wifi and retest. It could be your wifi connection is so weak thats its dropping packets all over the place.

I received an "F"

Well for some reason I am not able to paste a copy of the report, but it did say that I had a very poor "Real time internet application performance will suffer greatly on such a connection." and gave me a line quality F---ping 685ms----jitter 11ms---packet loss. 0%.

Now---I am not going to have much time to work on this for awhile. I am dealing with a serious family loss at this time and all of the tramma and legal dealings that must be dealt with, so this takes a very back seat.

However, I am curious. This is a brand new hook up, just since Christmas. It is a dish on the roof and was connected by the tech who presumably knew what he was doing. It is also a brand new HP computer at the same time.

Would the fault be likely with the hook up---the position of the dish?---the router---or what?

The interesting thing is that I am getting no troubles with anything except RTG. Seeing as how that is a sensitive subject in this country, I hesitate to explain it to anyone else.

Again---thanks everyone for your help!!!!!

MaryJean
