Field of Green: Wuz I robbed?

Have just finished playing a session of Field of Green. I didn't do very well alternating between 20p/40p per spin, but eventually I hit the bonus and got 3 footballs, which gave me the following:

1st kick = 10 free games.
2nd kick = 15 time bet.
3rd kick = outside of the bar.

I was then returned to the play screen where I noticed that my balance had increased by about 4, but no free spins were awarded. Is this right? Surely I should have got the 10 free spins and the 15 times bet?

It was also my first time playing at this casino and it will be my last. I entered the bonus code (yup, I too have gone over to the dark side!), but it was not accepted. However as my deposit was a meagre 30 I decided to continue playing without the bonus. My choice - I accepted that I might not be eligible for the bonus after playing with my deposit.

Didn't take me long to go through the deposit, so I contacted support via telephone to ask about possible creditation of the bonus. I was told they could retroactively apply it, but the WR would be 900, ie. 30x bonus, whereas if I had claimed it properly, the WR would have been 15x bonus + deposit.

When I queried this, I was told - very curtly - that it was not the Casino's fault I had entered the code incorrectly.

No, it wasn't, but that tone of voice and attitude has just lost you a customer, sweetheart!!! There are ways and ways of talking to a customer, and that just didn't cut it.

Have you noticed that most CS in the business have a very defensive attitude and assume everyone is a scammer? I understand that they have to deal with alot of crafty people who are trying constantly to get one over on the casino... but when this kind of attitude becomes the "norm" from support persons, then something needs to be corrected in the industry.

The aire' of mistrust from casino personnel is getting a bit rampant these days!

i love that game, it seems to me you were robbed, you have to watch these things just like at any b/m casino. most casinos wont say they made or the software made a goof!!.....laurie

The wagering is the same either way
30 x 30 bonus = 900 WR
15 x 30 deposit + 30 bonus = 900 WR

Well, NO - the player had already wagered some of the WR, so strictly an adjustment should be applied.
How can they be sure the player entered the code incorrectly, this should be easy to check from the cashier (not the playlogs), by comparing the record of refusal which shows what the player entered and the code as supplied by the casino.
Many cases of RTG codes being rejected are errors on the part of the casino, sometimes the software is not properly programed to accept the published codes, or there are spelling mistakes in the codes supplied in the mailers or websites.
Rogue casinos also deliberately publish fake codes and deliberately unclear termns as a means to entrap the unwary player, and as we don't know which RTG casino this was, the sheer number of dodgy RTG casinos against the small number of good ones makes it more likely than not that this was not one of the better ones.

Unfortunately it was one of the accredited casinos. And absolutely no response to my emails either asking them to investigate the original issue...the bonus round glitch on Field of Green...

I am very very disappointed.

It would be worth checking the rules of this slot, just in case the last ball over the bar causes the two earlier awards to be forfeited. I have a feeling something like this has come up before with an RTG Reel Series slot (Golden Glove?), and it was an obscure rule rather than a glitch.
If this DOES fall outside of the rules, then it IS a glitch.

I have played this slot and each bonus round kick should count for what was stated after the kick. Me thinks you had a glitch.

Nah, it's not like that...It just shows a red X where the attempt was made and failed. It doesn't void the other kicks..

I double-checked the rules last night, and it is definitely a glitch. I also received this back from the Casino manager:

I have been reviewing the outstanding issues on our customer service desk and I came across your email. I do apologise for the delay in getting back to you and I will certainly be investigating as to why this was not resolved much sooner.

I have asked RTG to investigate this matter and put a lot of pressure on to do this quickly. In the mean time, to show my appreciation of your continued patience in this matter, I have credited your casino account with 30 in cash chips.

I will contact you again tomorrow once I have heard back from RTG with a more complete answer to your enquiry.

So I ended up with my bonus after all, and a very nice grovelling memo from the manager.

All in all I am now a happy little vegemite. :D
