I just won an entry to the weekender and they won't allow me to withdraw from the tourney, is that new? I was sure I read somewhere on the forum that you could...?

Must be the other thing they sneaked in during that notorious "upgrade" a while back.

The actual dodge was when you were given a free entry without strings, players could simply withdraw and cash out the "free" $20 which resulted as it was credited as cash, not a bonus.

I do not know whether it is impossible to withdraw from particular tournaments at all, or whether it depends on whether you paid from your own casino funds or were given a free pass.

There is still one "exploit" available, and I expect this will be plugged soon, just as no MG rep has EVER publically owned up to the recent "upgrades" to the tournament software which make play less attractive, as well as fixing an emerging exploit.
If they had designed the tournament software without all the issues, there would be no need to offer these free passes to get the numbers up.

The most annoying features are easy to fix.

1) Make gameplay run at a reasonable pace, about what one gets when playing the game in "normal" mode with own funds.

2) Less Greed, the prize pot should consist, on average, of 95% of all buy-ins and rebuys, currently it is 90% at best, and appears far lower on some events (based simply on the expectation of a 95% return on all monies wagered on slots in normal mode - surely not an unreasonable desire, so why can MG not accept this argument:confused:). Even "free" tournaments have rebuys, and it is unlikely that anyone will get near the top using the free session alone.

ok - say if someone won an entry to the weekender, what happens if they play another feeder tournament and win another entry? (like THAT would happen) But suppose it did - they couldn't have multiple entries, right? So one of the entries would have to be reversed or erased.

I wonder if it's ever happened to anyone....?

I've won two $20k weekender entries this week and only one appears in the "My Tournaments" schedule.

At least a few months back when I tried to withdraw from the 20K weekender, it wasn't possible...thinking it afterwards, I'm kinda happy I couldn't- won 1000$ from it by finishing 4th :D

Happened to me. Without fanfare or comment I was listeed once in the weekender instead of twice is all. Whatta gyp.

Yep, I've won 2 free entries into weekenders during the same week, I asked support if that gave me a free rebuy and they said.. uh no, you shouldn't have played in the weekender entry if you had already won once.

Another bit of weirdness I've noticed is now on the free weekender entry tournaments there's 30 winners now, didn't it used to be 20?

I think it's been 30 - I remember 3 pages of prize listings. If we shouldn't have been able to play in the free entry games once we'd already won, why could we? When I won my second time in a week, I got congratulated at the end just like the first time and expected to see my handle listed twice inna row in the players list! Why not? It runs all f**kn weedend!
