Sorry if there has been a thread before - could not see one - also could not find a good place to put this.

Just wondered what your favourite gambling based movies would be :)

Not strictly a gambling movie but I'd go with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Again, not a gambling movie, but the Daniel Craig version of Casino Royale, the final poker hand is so statistically unreal that you have to love it.

I'm with Hombert I quite liked 21. The fact that it's based on a true story made it all the more fascinating although I know artistic freedoms were taken making the movie :D

Slumdog Millionaire. The Sting was fun, but it's horribly dated now, IMO. And the story has a few really implausible hinges.

Rounders

Best movie about gambling ever made. I will be in Vegas next week and will watch rounders on the plane...again

Rounders all the way

I have always been a big fan of Rounders, "Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker"

But I also really liked Runner Runner with Ben Affleck.
