Face Book and Grand parker.

I'm not getting a bunch of facebook requests, but keep getting calls from Ontario and Kenya. Last I knew unless if someone is trying to scam me, I don't have any cousins or anyone in Kenya or Ontario. So my only guess would be either an online casino calling me 6 times in a row each morning for the last 3, or a scammer. I can't tell which.

I don't have any connections at all to casinos from my 'normal' Facebook account. I made a special one just for casinos to not miss out any special offers and to be able to see what's happening in that world.
My normal page is just normal and I have never even played a facebook game.
I see now that I made the right decision from the start.

I would have appreciated a friendrequest from you though secret2 ;)

Well, it's weird because I really don't spend a lot of time on FB, just out of the blue, 2 friend requests one after the other. 'Veronica' and 'Mark' both reps from Grand Parker, wanted to friend me...so , I did..what the hey.

Sara? Of course I would 'friend' you.. if only I could read Swedish?...LOL...I would love to be your FB friend!.:);)

I probably shouldn't say this since other bad casinos might not know, but they find you through your email adress if you have signed up using the same at their casino.
On my page there are a mix of Swenglish these days so off I go to send you a pm girl :)

Complain to Facebook. This is a misuse under their terms, a business pretending to be a "regular person", and of course "friend request spamming", another issue Facebook seems particularly hot on at present.

If you DO accept their friend request, they will be able to dig deep into your personal life, not something you want a casino like Grand Parker doing.

What they SHOULD be doing is setting up a business page, and inviting people to "like" them in order to benefit from special offers etc.

I checked them out. That Veronica looked as a 14 year old modell and Mark good too but a little older so people would respect him I suppose.
I wonder if they are hiring people just for that purpose.
I can bet anything that it's not their real names or faces.

Yet another violation of the terms of use for Facebook.

Ironic really given that this is an online casino, where even the most minor deviation from the terms means major trouble.

Geezez, I think I let 'them' all in. Now I am being bombarded by pics of huge butts and topless (almost) pics from these guys.

You are correct, VWM...I have to make a complaint.

It seems they are sinister, too as they show photos of their cute dogs to make it seem they are legit.

What will my FB friends think of me??

;)

We think...:eek2:
No really, this was maybe good that you asked about. We have to be more careful these days.
Never use the same emailadress is one thing.
They seem to have started up today since Mark had been blocked from sending too many friendrequests at the same time
He would continue to send them out though....

There is one "group" set up for Grand Parker Casino with 533 members. It is an "open group" so is probably the official page for them. In addition, there are three other pages also named "Grand Parker Casino", and all clearly promote the same Grand Parker casino, but seem part of a Facebook spamming operation as they have been set up recently, one on the 5th June, and another 20 hours ago. This looks like an ongoing spamming operation using Facebook.

In addition, we also have reps creating "personal" accounts and engaging in what looks like friend request spamming.

This is a highly aggressive and illegitimate marketing strategy that rides roughshod over the Facebook terms of service, and is also a deceptive ploy to get much deeper into the personal lives of the targets than the legitimate business page or group model provided by Facebook.

It remains to be seen whether this operation is ongoing, or stops at three "spam" pages for Grand Parker. No affiliate tags are obvious from the "spam" pages either.

Just reported the three as "spam or a scam", obviously not the "open group" with 533 members, which is likely to be a legitimate group operated for the benefit of those daft enough to play at Grand Parker.

The sad part is that the open group was started the 5th of June, which is five days ago and they have already all those members.
What a drive. I almost admire the speed of that marketing

So if anyone else are reading this. This is NOT one of the good reliable casinos.

I expect they emailed all their players to invite them to join this group quickly, perhaps with some kind of bribe. Maybe this group too should be reported, even though it looks like the one genuine one of the four.

Facebook are only going to pay attention if they get enough reports.

Better still would be reporting all those friend requests from fake identities that are associated with the casino, as this is far more serious than the setting up of multiple but identical pages for "spam".
