Ok. Well first off what I should of said is im against the islamification of the uk, I've no issue anyone practising there beliefs, until it encroaches on my life. And that's what Islam is doing in Europe. And absolutely no, of course not all Muslims are bad people, only a fool would believe otherwise.
Also this thread isn't about religion bashing at all, people and children died in the name of Islam, after we have shared our prayers and thoughts with those who sadly lost there lives we look to the reason why it happened and the cause. The cause was anti west rhetoric and in total essence Islam.
And yes we have Muslim professionals, only the other day I visited a Muslim GP. That's lovely and I've no problem, but you see in the uk, the unemployment level of Muslim women is encroaching over 60% and over 40% in males, in government figures that's a drain of over 8 billion in taxable British earnings.
And most Muslims absolutely will condem extremists acts as any dignified human being would also. But you see in nazi germany in world war 2 it only took a small percentage of people with radical beliefs to lead the the deaths of millions world wide.
Extremism isn't something the western world can solve, it's a problem within Islam and its communities.
Until those communities address this on a national scale and accept the way your doing things are not working, then sadly it's only a matter of time until another thread like this appears.

Just to update you all, life is all back to normal in Manchester, as of tuesday Arena and Train station fully open and operating, people getting on with their lives. Most people trying to get their hands on the tickets for the concert on 4th June. Spirits in Manchester have never been higher, spirit of unity and community.

Playford, i dont know where you are from in here, but u shd come down here and u will find people much more accepting of each other. Might teach u a few things

I deal with terrorists and criminals every day, so i made it my business to know what terrorism is.

Like syrus2 pointed out, the problem with terrorism is that when a muslim commits an act, it's always viewed as a sign of the 'evil' religion. When a non-muslim commits an act of terrorism, it's portrayed as an act of a lone wolf, insanity or any other reason.

It should be noted that the so called islamist terrorism is a fairly new phenomena.

Discussion relating to terror attacks also usually simplifies things. Many seem to share a point of view, that muslims who did not commit acts of terrorism bear the same guilt as those who did. It's not that logical. We don't see christians on the street apologizing crimes committed by Breivik (who considered himself as 'conservative cultural Christian') or other insane people. Why should muslims who are horrified by the terror attacks like anyone else be apologetic of the whole religion?

It's a dangerous path when we start presuming guilt based on religious belief. It goes against every fiber of a modern society based on a rule of law.

In all fairness, if one condemns the whole religion based on attacks in recent years, the same logic should be applied to other religions as well. It's a documented fact that christianity has the worst track record when it comes to atrocities committed in the name of religion.

I will reiterate my opinion: social and political reasons for terrorism should not be ignored when discussing this topic.

You can not belong to any group, and care for the victims, whilst loving your country and not wanting Islamic extremists causing death and destruction on your doorstep. I know patriotism is a dirty word nowadays but it goes further than just 'left' and 'right' political leanings.....this comes down to common sense and decency (another outdated concept these days).

do you think life is back to normal for those who have sustained life changing injuries or have on-going psychological trauma for years to come due to the attack?
What about the parents of young children killed in the attack, no answers, the suicide risk to them for being unable to cope and feeling they failed their children?

And go to any casualty department in Glasgow on the night of an old firm match which is their busiest days of the year and see the people that have been stabbed beat up etc. all because of sectarian related events.

Totally agree with you. Those radical Christian loonatics must be well hidden, granted there is issue to take with other religions of course , with the catholic religion especially within there churches and there peadophiloc priests, but thankfully that's been addressed now, and abhorrent as it was it wasn't terrorism.
