So ....hogexd was permitted to participate when he wasn't a member going by his screenshot dates!

So screenshots not following the rules from wins obtained before the player was even able to participate in the comp?
I guess you could argue that those replay screenshots show the game because of the GAME ID, but posting the ID was clearly not what the rule was intended to mean, because you know then it would have said 'Post game id'

The whole 'technically it doesnt say its not allowed to do this' is just bs imo.
The comp has no start date, are wins from last year ok? Maybe my grandpa still have documents showing his wins from the 50s.
Is cheating allowed? See no rules against it so must be allowed i guess

Seeing as Winz have already verified the wins i dont see them changing their mind, but imo you have to take on a very loose interpretation of the rules to allow the wins to count for the comp.

I can suggest the following for any screenshot -type competitions in the future:

1. Screenshots must be posted no later than 24hrs after the win was achieved
2. Any and all specific rules or guidelines regarding the screenshots, their type, date etc must be very clear so that everyone understands exactly what the rules are, and nobody will start arguing afterwards.

Yes, there are more holes in the rules than in Fred West's back garden.

It's not the first time this has happened, as sometimes for what seems like a simple competition the rules need to be exhaustive otherwise any weakness will be spotted and exploited.

The SPIRIT of this comp is clearly meant to be for those players who were CM members at the time of commencement and screenshots beginning then as well.

Unfortunately this was not comprehensively specified thus people have taken advantage of the loophole. As I've already said, this isn't fhe first time it's happened and invariably leads to complaints, suspicion and arguments.

At the end of the day, the rep's decision counts here even if they're stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea as they say.

I suppose it's like having a sample stall at a market promoting a new canned drink and asking people to help themselves - most will just take one, but someone will always walk off with several because it doesn't say you can't. That's life.

Sorry but he wasn't even a member when some of those screenshots were taken 'To participate you need to be registered at the CasinoMeister forum and have an account at Winz.io'! If he wasn't even registered when some of those screenshots were submitted, what was the point of the rule?

It doesn't affect me and some people might think 'butt out then' but as an advocate to fairness with no personal interest in the outcome, I am totally bemused!!

Others basically summed up exactly how I feel about this whole situation. Wins from before he was a member literally should not be counted as that's what the rules say.

If you let this guy get away with exploiting the rules you're just encouraging further exploitation by him and others in future comps. As long as the rules aren't extensive to block out any and all possible ways to cheat, someone is gonna come in and do it.

The fact you're still defending your position even after all this just tells a lot about you as a person. Despicable..

I think that Winz is not a bad casino at all. At least you wont get bs bonuses like to most others. What bothers me in this case is the handling of the current situation which i find very unfortunate.

I figured a shitstorm would brew if I posted about this, so I was afraid to do so earlier. I wanted to post before the competition ended but I kept going back and forth with the idea. In the end however, it didn't sit well with me and if I was Viking I'd be really mad about it. He's just too good of a guy to post anything himself so ah, here we are.

I'm not worried about absence of Winz, I'm sure they'll come back to update us whenever they can. And as for the casino themselves, I'm a fan in general. *A lot* of games and instant withdrawals, and the weekly friday wager-free promos are very nice. Just the way they handled this comp, especially after the complaints, leaves something to be desired.

This specific rule requires the player to make a screenshot that shows his winnings and there was no requirement to make it during the game session or after through history. As we thought that there could be some problems, like the player was really happy with his winnings and forgot to make a screenshot, or something went wrong where the player misclicked and accidentally started new spin, etc. Our main goal was to make this contest more interesting and it should not disturb somehow from a gaming session.

I thought it just was someone that had hoarded screenshots, which is a valid tactic imo.
Posting wins when you get them just shows everyone else what they need to beat.



It is more fun if people post them tho, so something like already mentioned about posting within 24h/same day is a good rule to encourage participation in the thread.
I still think its a bit iffy allowing screenshots from before a player was registered for the comp, swooping in at the last minute and posting a bunch of wins gives you an advantage over the players registered from day 1 because they didnt even know you existed.

Not really my place to complain i guess, if the people taking part are happy im happy.

As regular members know im pretty easy going and dont complain a lot or argue and just play by the rules, perhaps thats why i havent had to PAB since i began to play 18 years ago
I really dont wanna go into whats right and wrong with this Comp, but for any feature Comps i suggest a much clearer Terms
But i know i enjoyed it especially the first 10 days

I have already withdrew 450 to Neteller got paid within min and withdrew to bank account
Got 2 grown up boys and they knew about this comp so might put into a new PS5 they cost €720 up here
