I'm getting the following message this evening:
The eCheckUS website is currently offline. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you,
eCheckus Support

A service of BPGPS

I may be a newb, but that sure looks like trouble to me.

This actually doesn't really surprise me with the fact really if you read the terms and conditions of eCheck US. It just like Alert Pay explicitly said they don't offer there services to gambling sites. Yet I'm going to guess some yahoo who wanted to be a processor set up a few fake accounts with them. Once they got word of this happening, just like Alert Pay. They decided to pull out of the US before they got into trouble because someone is attempting to abuse the system.
Really in my opinion of these processors wish to stay alive. Honestly there going to have to be a bit more rigorous with who they process for and don't. Really processing for everyone and anyone just because there greedy. Is what I personally think gets most of them in trouble from the start.
Eventually I could really could see gambling online from within the US being a more exclusive thing then a luxury. Just because more and more processors are vanishing and more and more processors are having issues. Eventually meaning unless if you get the invite to use your debit card or checking account. You might not be able to gamble online period because there going to wanna make sure your not truly working with the feds to provide them whom is processing for what sites. I'm pretty sure some of the information comes to them naturally. Once the bank gets whim of a high volume of charge backs going to once descriptor, but still I also still feel there are a few "leaks" in the online gambling community. Causing alot of these processors to go poof.

I have a pending transaction from echeck to me for $550.00 to my bank account! Will I still receive my withdrawal or is the money now gone?? Have they stole my money? If I do not receive my money, this is the last straw for me. Sadly i will discontinue any and all my online wagering if i do not receive this money. It has been 3 days since the transaction was processed and now they have gone away from the U.S. I am really upset now, because I used money i had in my bank account for playing last night, figuring my $550.00 would be in their this weekend. This really sucks.. so mad riverbelle wouldn't let me decide where the money went to. I am contacting riverbelle as we speak to make a complaint.

Just to clarify, I didn't over draw my bank account or something silly like that LOL.. Juust mad that I am losing $550.00 because echeck is gone right in the middle of a pending transaction and this never would have happened if riverbelle paid me out to quicktender which I chose as my payout option.. grrrr

Who said you'd be losing your withdrawal? If this is simply a pullout of the US market, I'd imagine you'll still get your withdrawal either via eCheck or another method.

Have you contacted the casino yet?

My research shows that EcheckUS was seized by the feds. I could be wrong there are reports that an e-processor was seized by the feds in Houston, TX. EcheckUS was based in Houston. Also the site being offline in the way it is offline is not normal.

Someone tell me again how easy it is for US players to deposit and receive any winnings?? It takes a real gambler to play online these days....

I cannot log into my echeck account at all and that is why I am figuring my money is now gone. I had this happen during the neteller fiasco and lost roughly 10k which I was never able to get back. So this is why I am worried. I am hoping river belle will give me back my funds and allow me to transfer them to quicktender. River belle has had tons of complaints and a lot of problems revolving around this. I understand it is not technically their fault, however they decided to send the money to echeck and it is not where I chose to have the money sent. I have always tried my best to stay away from echeck and once I found out the money was sent to echeck I was already upset, because the majority of sites i play on do not use echeck. I generally never transfer the funds to my real life bank account anyways and the only reason i chose to do so is because I cannot use echeck to play at sites like 3dice etc,,, River belle has said they will get back to me on Monday after they deal with all these accounts that have possibly lost their money. They assured me the money has not been stolen, but after waiting an entire week for riverbelle to process my original cashout and finally receiving the funds, now I am stuck not knowing how the situation will arise. I do enough gambling online and I don't like the feeling of having to gambler further by not knowing where my money is. I have been a member of river belle for close to 10 years and have never had any problems, so I am sure they will take care of me. I am just upset that this happened and I am sure they are upset as well. I just do not think i should bear the loss since they chose to transfer the money to echeck, especially since my last handful of deposits to river belle were from quicktender. Anyways I am off to a land based casino for the evening, I need to get out of the house and relax anyways. cheers and I hope nobody else has a bunch of money stuck on echeck from the U.S. :[]

Neteller did their best to cover this up, as according to their "official view", EVERYBODY would eventually get their money back once an agreement had been struck with the DoJ. Whilst they admitted that, for small amounts, some customers didn't bother, I didn't think those with such LARGE amounts were also left out of the settlement.

Ok it is Monday and I contacted RiverBelle to see what is being done about the echeck situation, and here is a copy of the chat.

I hope everything works out for you. Please keep us posted.

On a interesting side note, Intertops no longer has e-check as a deposit option. Another option down the tubes.

Bodog just launched some new echeck thing...DBT they call it I think....I dont know about that....seems fishy since Echeck just pulled out??

I got all my money back today from riverbelle :) They actually gave me back my entire withdrawal. However they paid me too much money, because $50.00 of that I had bought back in with via echeck before they shut me out. Contacting support to tell them $50.00 of the $670.00 is their money. Just happy I got my money back!

They went ahead and let me keep the extra $50.00 because of the problem :) So I am back to where I started. Very happy that they took care of me. I have been a customer for 10 years and they always take care of me. <3 Riverbelle.. HATE ECHECK lol
