Yeah - they crank up the heat when they don't get their share of the pie. Another "regulator" protecting its pockets and not the players' welfare.

It's laughable that this regulator has no grasp on the crookedness that their little sun-kissed island has perpetrated. Curacao is still a part of the Dutch Kingdom. The right hand has not a clue to what the left hand has been up to for the past 10 - 15 years.

But if they spent 2 minutes doing a couple of Google searches they would start to realize how awkward this "ruling" is. What about their "licensed" casinos using fake games and preying on problem gamblers. I would like to hear what they have to say about that.

I can't help think it's politically and legally/fiscally convenient to pretend curacao is independent most of the time, similar to all the offshore entities/islands with a uk link.

But this surely proves the dutch do have administative powers into the goings on down curacao way [when it suits them] that the operator accepts their law on this issue by paying the fine - but do they accept it on other ones involving the consumer.

I would've thought the EU consumer bodies must be unhappy that individual EU citizens can be defrauded via a kingdom of a member state, without formal redress [other than the few, more reputable individual casinos that engage fairly with PABs etc..there's nothing else there]

Imagine the IOM registered casinos getting up to the same shakedowns, it just wouldn't happen, and I don't see physical distance much of an excuse in the WWW internet~borderless age.

Yeah - I agree - it would be like IOM, Gibraltar, Jersey, or Alderney licensing casinos with fake pirated games. It beggars belief - but I have been around in this industry long enough to know that most jurisdictions really just don't care about players. They really don't - and few are competent to do anything, unless of course they figure out how to fine somebody LOL.

It's all about the Benjamins.

I imagine that the regulator has cracked down on this particular casino because of the domain name luckydays.com that resembles
the brand name of one of the few currently licensed gambling products too much: Lucky Day.
Lucky Day is a lottery game.
