I am now in the negative with my bank account!!!

I put in $50 twice on December 10, 2008, so on December 11, 2008 they took it from my bank account. Today I went to get a coffee at 7-11 used my bank card and it was denied, I didn't think anything of it (their machine is kinda old and ratty looking) I come home and checked my account online and I am in the negative.

QT charged me the two $50 deposits again today! I also got two $28 charges for not having enough money to cover it...so all together because of QT I am negative $156.

What should I do? I went to their site and sent them that email that they have there explaining what they did. Is there a phone number? Or do I just have to wait now?

Edit.......and it's dated December 15, 2008 on my online account.

i have never seen a phone number for them and i think they are closed on the weekends, but so are most banks, i would and this is just me thinking outloud, i would go ahead and email then not once but several times, also i would inform my bank monday morning early and explain what has happened, talk to your bank c/s rep. and sometimes they will remove any bank fees as those can add up also and you should also get a reply from q.t early monday morning as well, i hope it all works out for you...................laurie

I just got a refund of $100 from QT for overchaging into my account today. I usually email them and they reply in a timely manner.

As to what to tell the bank, tell them nothing unless they ask. QT can be used for anything just like Paypal and such for shopping. So no big red flag there. Just say you purchased something (which you did) and you were double charge (which you were) and to see if they would be kind enough to reimburse you the fees. This was through no fault of your own (tell them) and you do not see why you should be charged when the transaction was not yours to make.

Hopefully they will be kind enough to understand that the vendor double billed you and will refund the fees.

Just a tidbit, always keep double of what you deposit in your accounts because this happens a LOT. I have been double charged a few times, but knowing this,I always had enough to cover any other charge that came along..on the other hand, they have ALWAYS redeposited the second charge after a day or two.

Banks also hold a double charge on anything online lately. So if you charge $50, they put a $100 dollar hold on your account, so be careful there too.

This is the main reason I do not to use my bank account for depositing to casinos. I use my net spend ( I have used my net spend card to fund QT ) I have often been double charged on my net spend card ( I now have 2 ) but I just dont use the card until the neg. balance goes away. I think its awful the hoops we have to go through to play. I hope QT will reimburse you for you bank fees.

Your never going to believe this!

QT sent me an email requesting I send them a statement from December not September like the one I sent them.

Ummm, here in USA we write our dates like this...12/10/2008 which means December 10, 2008......they must have thought it was September 12, 2008.

Well, at least they contacted me on a Saturday.

Wait a minute.....September would be 9....WTF

Hey Miss silcnlayc,

What can we call you, I had to copy your name off of a post as it is unpronouncable and spellable to me:D

Now what do I do?

The sent me an email saying they need an authorization number for the two transactions. I called my bank and they said there is no authorization number?????

I told them 800 times already all they have to do is look at the emails they sent me. When you make a successful deposit you get an email. I didn't get one for the last 2.

Go to the bank and have them give you a printed copy of those transactions, then scan and e-mail them .Personally, I would stop using your debit card to finance your gambling as the risk of somebody getting ahold of your number is too risky.

I already sent them a screenshot of my banking page. They said they can clearly see it, but they need an authorization number which the bank says they don't have!!!

I don't keep much money in that account, that's why it went into overdraft. If someone got ahold of that number they wouldn't get more than $10

The aithorization number comes from the casino transaction. Go to the casino, check your deposits log and I think that is the transaction number they are asking for and that is where there is a transaction number.

Also if it does not get cleared from your bank in 7 days it gets redeposited into your bank account. Just as mine did because of the double transaction by them and it couldn't be processed so they refunded me it.

If you see a deposit into your bank account, as a credit, then they have given it back.

It has to show as a CREDIT, otherwise any other increase inyour banking is just clearing out the transactions which will be reduced again...

They have the authorization numbers for the 2 deposits I made, they showed me in an email, but they want an authorization number for the 2 mistakes...my bank does not have that.

So the bank is saying that these are just 2 ach withdrawals? The should be a merchant # or name with these transactions.

I just checked my bank statement and there are NO transaction numbers there. Jut the name of QT and the amount. You might want to ask what transaction number they are looking for, is it from the casino or the bank...to narrow it down..because there is none from the bank..I just looked..it states QT the date and the amount...if it was from your bank into a deposit to QT..

Finally good news....they refunded the overdraft money to my QT account, and said they will credit my bank account back (I'm assuming between 3-7 days)

Bad news...I just got off the phone with my bank and he was sorta pressuring me into what kind of merchant this was....I just said I do a lot of online shopping since I don't go outta the house too much. The bank man said I could fill out some form, I guess to get the money back or I could just wait to see if the credit me...so I will wait.

Go online and get a wired plastic. You could also receive withdrawals back to your card. It sounds as though your bank is getting leary of your transactions.

Yes, you will need to fill out an unauthorized transaction form to receive your money.

I just checked my credit card bill and QuickTender double billed me also. This was only my second time using them. Is this how they normally do things? Do we have to email them and ask for our money back a lot?

Looks like they got me too! It'skind of hard to figure out exactly what the charges are and my bank account isn't easy to follow either!

It looks like 2 charges of $50 on the 16th. Also there are 3 charges of $1.50???

They say that they charge you one cent less ($49.99) so the transactions look more legitamate but they only did that once for me. Most of them are the full $50.00.

I emailed them so I guess I just have to wait and see.

I wonder if they are having a problem? Don't you think it is strange?

They do credit you back pretty quick...my only problem was they refunded my overdraft fees back to QT and the double bill back to my bank, so in the end I am still negative in the bank. It would have cost me $30 to send back the $56 overdraft.

My bank account is now plus $15.00 but my Quictender account still shows $54 as uncleared.

I'm hoping that they fixed the problem although I did not have a way of scanning my bank documents to them. Maybe it was a glitch???

I still don't know what the $1.62 and $1.50 charges are for?

Most banks anymore, including BofA, Chase, Citi, WaMu and most others, will charge you an International Transaction Fee (ITF) any time you use your card or account outside of the country. Unfortunately I found out about this the hard way. It is usually 3% of the transaction with a minimum of $1. On a $50 transaction, the 3% fee = $1.50. And don't think for one second that they wouldn't charge you an O/D fee if that ITF causes you to go negative.

$408.50 (AND numerous calls and tears to B of A, who I decided to get rid of) later, I decided to no longer use this method again. If I am going to deposit (which I really can't do anymore) I will spend 45 cents for WP for their ITF and suck it up. But $1.50 and up is ridiculous.

Well, guess what Quicktender gave me for Xmas? A closed account. According to the email I got, they say that I initiated a chargeback. I have absolutely never done that. Matter of fact, I just reconciled my bank charges to my Quicktender charges and didn't find any problems. I use a Netspend card to fund and chargebacks are next to impossible to do with them.

I am so pissed. Of course, now the emails start. I guess next time I start bragging about how I have never had any trouble with Netspend or Quicktender I better knock on wood cause this is a world of mess now.

They always double it. They will put it back in your account within 24 to 48 hours. Just mail them they always reply when I do.

The not so funny thing is that the transaction they said was a chargeback was on 12/19 (their date) and I haven't made any deposits to my QT account the first of the month. I have been playing off withdrawals made from casinos and haven't had to fund my account.

Wouldn't you know they are off until Monday and I have a withdrawal to make from a casino. Don't know what I will do if they won't open up account.

What a mess!

What a freakin' mess.

Let us know how this goes.

I'm almost afraid to use my NETspend. And now I'm paranoid about QT ...

QT still hasn't told me when the transaction was suppose to have occurred but they have opened my account back up. I told them I would make a deposit immediately which I tried to do but every time I tried I was declined. Account still open though and I have sent a zillion emails but haven't got an answer.

I still don't think I am in the wrong but I will pay just to keep my account. But I can assure you that I will be very vigilant about reconciling my account with them from now on.

Now it looks like I was double charged for about 4 or 5 transactions by Quicktender! Also my bank had stopped charging me those $1.50 or so charges everytime i used Quicktender. I funded Quicktender many times recently and all of a sudden I'm behind $200 in my checking account and the bank started to charge me $1.50 - $2.00 again all at once as if there was some delay.

I'm very frustrated.

Also there are many transactions in pending section of Quicktender.

I have found out these charges are not coming from QT charge but from a credit card charge depositing into a casino. When I use QT deposit from my checking account I have no fees charged but when I use my credit card to deposit, I see these fees every time..

I have never seen a "pending" transaction in QT unless the site has gone down and it is cleared when they go back online which has happened only twice and I emailed them on this and it was corrected within a short period of time.

I wonder how many people get double-billed and don't even realize it.
The double billing happens in the checking account section (banking section) and a lot has to do with how the bank holds your funds. If you read back a little you will see it is not QT holding the double funds but the bank..and then the bank fools you into thinking you have money when they release it back into your account to clear the charge..in the transition, your funds show more than what you actually have for a short period of time and this is where the banks make their money on the overdrafts...this has caught me once..but it is bank related, not QT related..

.

I was also double charged a few days ago, but by golden tiger. No response so far  Wouldn't matter that much if the whole amount was added into casino balance, but half was stolen by them.
