Don't Give Hillary the Football!

Ummm, do I detect gender bigotry here:rolleyes:

The only correlation I see is that Hillary is a female, and the criminal was a female...

Young Republicans?

Here's what I see as the difference in the party's fiscal policies.

Democrats: Tax and spend.

Republicans: Borrow and Spend.

Which is more fiscally responible... to pay as you go, or to go into debt? Hmm.

Quick answer to my rhetorical question by stating facts:

Jan 2007 Families earning more than $1 million a year saw their federal tax rates drop more sharply than any group in the country as a result of President Bush’s tax cuts, according to a new Congressional study.

...The study, by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, also shows that tax rates for middle-income earners edged up in 2004, the most recent year for which data was available, while rates for people at the very top continued to decline.

President George Bush entered office with a federal budget surplus of $127 billion.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office forecast the budget deficit would swell to 219 billion dollars in the year ending September 30, 2008.
********************
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 25 Jan 2008 at 01:15:30 AM GMT is:

$9,193,860,138,560

The estimated population of the United States is 304,172,518
so each citizen's share of this debt is $30,225.81.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$1.43 billion per day since September 29, 2006!
***************************

Yeah, I think I'll go with Republican fiscal policy as well. All the philosophy and rhetoric in the world can't change the fact that Bush destroyed the US economy with unbridled spending, tax cuts that did not stimulate the economy (it was the constant cutting of fed rates that caused 'growth' and will ultimately cause inflation) incentives to big oil to rape the American public, and a war that was predicated on no less than 259 false statements, including 231 lies about Iraq's possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) in Iraq and 28 converning Iraq's links to the terrorist group al-Qaida between 9-11 and 'our' invasion of Iraq.

***************************

Hillary's economic policy includes:

  • Lowering taxes for middle class families.
  • Providing quality, affordable health care to every American.
  • Making college accessible and affordable.
  • Confronting the growing problems in the housing market.
  • Bolstering retirement security by promoting savings and investment.
  • Returning to fiscal responsibility and moving towards balanced budgets.
  • Harnessing innovation to create the high-wage jobs of the 21st century.
  • Creating a $50 billion Strategic Energy Fund to jumpstart research and development of alternative energies.
  • Strengthening unions and ensuring our trade laws work for all Americans.

ADDED:
Hillary believes that we should develop a set of budget rules similar to those we had in the 90s which required us to fund new expenditures with new revenues or cuts in other areas.

There ya go :)

Last edit :D I could have simply stated this:
Bush pushed through tax cuts totaling $1.85 trillion and raised government spending 23 percent in his first four years in office to $2.29 trillion.
Even I can do the math on that kind of policy.

Don't believe everything that you hear or read that is associated with FAUX NEWS !!

Click on my signature link at the bottom of this post and open :eek2: your eyes to a world that exists within our world. A world beneath what we call cyberspace.

A world protected by firewalls, passwords and the most advanced security systems. In this world we hide our deepest secrets, our most incriminating information, and of course, a whole lot of money. This is the world of our secret goverment !!!

Make sure you are sitting down though....:Read:

I watch faux news, even GB on cnn. I read the nation, motherjones, the new american, yipster times... oops doesn't exist :) But rarely, rarely do I like to read things that scare the sh*t out of me :D

I believe some of what I see, and less of what I read. It's MY faerytale world dammit. The idealism (I can make a difference) of my youth is gone and all there is to see now is dark dark with no light light, so I pretend that 'Change' will be for the better. I'm paranoid of even thinking, let alone speaking out while this administration is in power. These are truly much darker days than most wish to believe... but there is hope. and that's all forrest gots to say about that :p

I hear what you're saying Lo, but dammit if folks like you and me and hopefully others don't stand up and speak out now...what hope will there be for the future of our kids and their kids and most of all this country ?....:what:

What if Hillary has one of these days??? OMG

All I have to say is that the companies owner is a dumbass for not keeping off-site backups. :lolsign:

If they have that much valuable information, why not make backups? I'm sure it'd be cheaper than what it cost to hire a data recovery service.

Lojo....lojo......lojo. Your grasp on the political climate is astounding!

Yes, young republicans.

It is infinately more effective to borrow and spend than tax and spend. (You musta nodded off that day in Econ class :)).

I can sum up my problem with Hillary's agenda by repeating one of her memorable quotes last month: "I have so many ideas, America can't afford them all!"

Yippers, it will take one term to get out of debt and another to get back to the surplus. Thank the gollies that we have (the sooner the better) a system of checks and balances and she won't have a blank check to try to save the world in four lousy years... but she might make a dent :)

Have you been drinking again lojo?

It's going to take much much much longer than 1 term to get out of debt. To be more realistic, multiply that by 3 or 4.

What the fool destroyed in 7 years we can rebuild in a day. But it will take few years to reconcile the books :)

But for an eight year plan, simply turn bush's factor upside down - cut spending, raise taxes. Stimulate the economy? Raise interest rates to 15% across the board.

:D

Political threads suck, but as a working man, all I can say is that Hillary is the last man I want to see in office. Kiss your paycheck good-bye if it happens. Your hard earned money will go straight to the lazy bastards living off welfare and government programs. Leaders like Hillary want the people to be completely reliant on the government for all their needs.

Tim, I didn't know you had it in ya brother, damn you summed that up to the T. But in reality both parties basically do the same damn shit...they start printing money out of thin air with nothing to back it up just to appease the powers that be at the IMF...keeping us good ole boys in the middle class beat down a little more each and every F$#@%&g time they do it...

Politics can be divisive, but doesn't have to be. I'm just going to note that welfare reform actually occurred during a Clinton administration.

Mickey mouse would start up the government cheese programs again and we could go down by the mission and buy big bricks of yummy cheese for $2 :)

'its the man in the whitehouse the men under the steeple, passing out drugs to the american people, they want to make us beggars cuz they're easier to please, I ain't gonna eat no government cheese, no cheese.'

I'm done politikn :D

All over the place :) BUT what she supports is the study,, ,she hasn't actually come out and said she supports the issue as Ron Paul has.

What does she think of the Constitution?

It's gotta be better than how GW sees it:

GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

I’ve talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper.”

Right, I thought thats what she might have meant by that because I keep up with politics purdy damn close and I hadn't read or saw or heard anything where she outright supports online gaming like my man Ron Paul does...:notworthy

For one that's so high and mighty on morals, he sure throws GD around quite a bit....

You know it's really sad when he's the leader of the free world acting like that in public or private...absolutely amazing...did you happen to see the video of when he was the Gov. of Texas and he was getting ready for an interview and he shot the camera man the bird....

on dial up today, but here's our man :)

pevangel:o

I know what you mean pevangel; when I saw that headline on g911 I got a happy little shiver. It was either there or someone who was quoting that article and the header read exactly as you reported 'H supports online gambling'. Some people should be more responsible with their headlines. :)
