If you are like me and vape, with myself having found vaping as the only 'cure' for my then 20 plus year smoking habit, you will no doubt be aware of the new Vaping Products Duty that comes into force on the 1st October 2026.
This will see the government add a tax of £2.20 per every 10mls of eliquid regardless of whether it contains nicotine or not. It goes without saying that said tax duty will also apply to nicotine shots.
So those of you that buy the cheap 10ml £1 88Vape bottles, will incur a 220% increase and see the price rise to £3.20. It is even worse for those of us that buy flavouring concentrates and add Nic Shots to them. I buy in bulk normally a 500ml bottle of concentrate and receive enough nic shots to make up bottles to the strength of 3mg - 6mg - This order costs me currently £26, but will sky rocket to well over £100.
As such I have gone into hoard mode. See below.
Now shops and online retail sites will still be able to sell pre 1st Oct manufactured stock without the new duty and they have until 1st March 2027 to do so. So again at the end of this month I will be putting in another big order. Then following up every month thereafter until the end of February.
So far this is what I have
This shelf has just over 500mls of made up eliquid in 30ml and 50ml bottles. Whilst my cupboard below has over 1ltrs worth of 10ml 18mg Nic Shots and 2ltrs of flavouring concentrate.
