I see players leaving hard earned comp points in their accounts all of the time. But yesterday I saw a player bustout after 2 hours on the slots...

Then he redeemed his 165 remaining comp points for E1.65....

and then cashed out for 300 Euros.

"Only" a 4x ROI on his deposit for the session; but not bad work for an evening.

Don't many casinos encourage you though to build up comp points for a higher conversion rate. ie instead of converting 5000 comp points for 50 you get 60.

I have always thought that a good idea for comp points would be the casino only letting them be converted once a year like Christmas and Birthdays, then the player can have a good pot built up, and the casino retains its loyal players.

I had $4 in comps at Slotocash yesterday and made a $500 withdrawal from them. Sloto has no playthrough on their comps and no max cashout. So for me comps work out pretty well.

None of the casinos I play out have said anything about holding comps for higher coversion rates. Sloto and Club World give me a higher rate of comps -dollar for dollar and Casino Titan is the worst, I don't know how they figure their comp rate but it's like 50 cents on the dollar. In my opinion, they need to take a look at that cause comps aren't worth much there.

Not any rival casino have a max cashout or playthrough on comps, btw. i've never seen any casino (no matter if RTG or anything else) which want you to make a playthrough with a max cashout on comps, because it's YOUR hard earnd money and so playthroughs on comps is only ridiculous!

Yes, they give you only $1 for 200 comps!

Terrible idea!

Players might want to quit a certain casino, and would (hopefully) finish by cashing in their comps & seeing what they can deliver.

Sometimes, we see casinos looking like they are on the verge of collapse, another reason players would want to get their comps out fast, especially if they had a decent amount.

When the TUSK casinos collapsed, although the CASINO balances were restored by Casino Rewards, the COMPS were NOT. TUSK casinos encouraged hoarding of points for swapping in their shop, and some players lost the equivalent of over $1000 worth of comps through building them up.
I personally lost 20 worth of comps, as even though I converted them as soon as the warning went up here, the tie between their comps server and the casino had been severed by MG, and the 20 simply vanished into the ether, never to be seen again to this very day.

Many casinos operate both a bonus for building up a bigger pot of comps, AND an EXPIRY clause that voids unconverted comps, and these expiry clauses are 3 to 6 months, not long enough for an annual "pot" to be built up.

I think my idea was meant more for the "Jewel in the crown" casinos we have stuck with for years. Those casinos that will still be with us come Christmas and the one after that. Those ones we trust, play at all the time, and refer loads of friends too.

Yes there may not be many like this, but we all know who they are.
