I checked pokerstars, 888, partypoker etc and their live casino. I mean live roulette, live dealer blackjack and well... it looks real just like at an actual casino and thus more fair than as oppose to playing online blackjack against the computer. I know they have 3 card poker as well.

I have questions about these online live casinos and would like it if anyone knows the answer to this.

1. How many actual tables are there? I see pokerstars, 888, partypoker share a lot of the same dealers and tables. I checked online and apparently its one big company that operates on all these tables called Evolution. Is that right? Because i see same tables/dealers when i have stars casino opened and 888 casino opened etc. Because there are tables with $25 min, $50 min and very few $5 min. There are of course higher stakes like $100 and $250 minimum etc. The thing is assuming there are a lot of players online playing $10 and $15 minimum, how is there enough dealers for live dealer blackjack? I mean let say there are 40 blackjack tables from evolution gaming. That would be only 240 seats. I mean, im guessing there is probably thousands of ppl who play live blackjack minimum right at once? So how does that work?

2. I saw on stars live dealer, the $5 min table many times is full. There is a message that says table is full and you can bet behind. Can someone explain this? Im guessing it means you are betting whatever amount on one of the players? Thus if a guy at the table bets $10, say you want to bet $5, then whatever he does, whether hit, stand or double, it applies to you? Thus say he wins his bet, you win your bet? If he doubles and loses, you double and lose?

3. I see pokerstars, 888 have their own special tables. I believe party does as well. However, does that mean there are 10 tables of blackjack max for pokerstars? Where are these tables located? Is it located in pokerstars isle of man? Or is it located in Latvia which i read is where Evolution gaming is located? I'm guessing its in Latvia and they basically just put the pokerstars logo on it etc? And the 888 live blackjack tables, im guessing its in the same building as the pokerstars live blackjack tables? Thus they just put the 888 background and logo on the back of it? Or are they located at 888 headquarters?

4. I noticed carribean stud and texas holdem, there is only 1 table. So basically instead of at the casino where there are 6 seats and everyone gets an individual hand, carribean stud and texas holdem, everyone gets the same hand right? Thus that way, there is no limit to the amount of people sit at each table? Also is pokerstars texas holdem and the evolution texas holdem the same? Pokerstars seem to have up to 10 live blackjack tables and 1 table of carribean stud, texas holdem etc so curious on this.

5. Are there people that actually profit from live casinos? For example playing live blackjack or live roulette? I read that for live dealer blackjack, they shuffle the cards halfway through so you can't really count. That is true right? Thus any live dealer blackjack they shuffle after half the deck? Thus card counting is not possible? Also i seen videos on youtube where people are betting huge amounts on live blackjack. I assume almost all these people eventually lose it all back right? I can't believe there are people that are betting $1500 minimum a hand on live blackjack like its nothing.

6. I assume online casinos don't worry about winners? Thus when they have people at the pokerstars, 888 or partypoker casino and play live blackjack and bet really big, I assume they don't care at all since they know the player will lose long term? Thus at a real casino, if someone is betting say $1000 a hand and winning a lot, they take notice. Let say this guy isn't counting and just playing etc. But i assume online, they don't even blink since they know the player will eventually give it back?

7. Who are the people that are betting huge at these live blackjack tables? Are they whales that don't feel like going to the casino so they just play online? I seen people betting $2500 a hand in few spots like its nothing. Aren't those dealers shocked at how much money some of these people are betting at the live blackjack tables?

I have questions about these online live casinos and would like it if anyone knows the answer to this.

You're correct, of the brands you mention they all use the Evolution live casino platform. Their studios are based in Riga and Malta and they probably have about 150 or so BJ tables across both locations. Some are gGneric/ General play tables which any casino that has signed up can use. The casinos you mention have also invested in dedicated areas for their own players, so you're more likely get at seat at one of those tables than at a general play table. The low stake tables do get very busy, so try and find a casino that has dedicated tables and start from there.

Bet Behind means that you are betting on the hand of the player in front of you. You can bet whatever amount you want. The player controls the playing of the hand, so you need to study the players on the table and decide which one you trust the most before betting behind them (generally anyone playing basic strategy is good). You'll have the choice of following suit when the player doubles, splits or takes insurance - although this can be different depending on what software company is providing the games. You should always check the game rules before playing.

Bet Behind is a great way for the casino to get more players playing on a 7 seat table. It's not something i like playing myself. (The alternative is to play Unlimited Blackjack which is a one to many game. Evolution don't have it, but Playtech and Netent live casinos do).

3. I see pokerstars, 888 have their own special tables. I believe party does as well. However, does that mean there are 10 tables of blackjack max for pokerstars? Where are these tables located? The tables are located in Latvia, unless they are non English language tables. They are located in Malta.

4. I noticed carribean stud and texas holdem, there is only 1 table. So basically instead of at the casino where there are 6 seats and everyone gets an individual hand, carribean stud and texas holdem, everyone gets the same hand right? These are one to many games, where all players play the same hand against the dealers hand. You make you're own betting and play decisions and the systems remembers them and pays out depending on how you acted and the final result of the hand.
The most popular games by far are 3 Card Poker and the new Ultimate Texas Holdem (which is currently outstripping 3 Card poker since it's release).

The Pokerstars Texas Holdem and Evolution Texas Holdem are the same, with the former just being a dedicated / branded table for PokerStars.

5. Are there people that actually profit from live casinos? For example playing live blackjack or live roulette? I read that for live dealer blackjack, they shuffle the cards halfway through so you can't really count. That is true right? Thus any live dealer blackjack they shuffle after half the deck? People win and people lose, it's gambling. Live Casino is no different from playing in a land based casino. The RTP's for each game are published in the game rules.

The bet amounts can be misleading. If you're playing at a general play table you could have players from all over the world playing. They will be playing in different currencies, so you might have a player playing in GBP place a £50 bet and another from Russia playing the same amount but in Rubles would show as 3900.

While the You Tubers are betting big some may be sponsored by a "casino". I wouldn't believe everything you see, but un-doublty there are some big players. In my experience seriously big players don't go chasing fame or broadcasting their gaming online.

It's gambling. All casinos will be monitoring what comes in and goes out. They have VIP programs to look after their big players. I'm sure they do "blink" as I know there have been some very big winners playing live casino. You get to hear about those, but not the 1000's of losers. Big Winners are great for business.

7. Who are the people that are betting huge at these live blackjack tables? Are they whales that don't feel like going to the casino so they just play online? I seen people betting $2500 a hand in few spots like its nothing. Aren't those dealers shocked at how much money some of these people are betting at the live blackjack tables?

The people are just the same that bet big in Land Based Casinos. Remember the currencies I mentioned above. Also when you're playing at an online live casino it's attracting players from all round the world, so you're going to see more of every type of player just because of the volumes that are coming through.

Neil.

thanks for the response.

So you are telling me when i see someone bet $1000 at a table, then this could be any currency? Thus its not usd? At the tables, it shows limits as 5-1000, 15- 1000, 50 to 5000 etc.

also by any chance can you answer my thread on signup bonuses? you know a lot! cheers.

You actually see someone bet 1000 units, the currency the player is using is not displayed on the table. The casino that the player has come through can configure the options for the tables, so while they may physically be the same tables they can make changes to the interface. So for example the side bets are a chargeable extra, so some casinos don't opt for them and they wont be seen on the table for those players.

Its more common to notice the difference in bet amounts on the lower stakes tables, where some bets seem to bust the table Max. Also the bet limits are chosen by your casino, although the operator has defaults, which most casinos go with.

hi there. Well im mainly looking at pokerstars casino, 888 casino. Thus the ones that are only pokerstars or 888 casino and of course the tables being shared by all these sites with evolution gaming. Thus i only want to know information about pokerstars, 888 etc.

There are certain tables they list as vip and high roller. Those are the tables where there is almost always 1 or 2 players max at the table and they are betting at least 250/hand. So you are telling me that isn't usd? Because these are the high limit tables where you dont see all seats filled up like a table where its 7 players fill up a table where its $5 min and $1000 max or so...

Also some pokerstars tables have higher limits like $50 and up. The same with 888 where its $100 and up. These tables... its almost never full and i figure its because of the higher limits. So wouldnt that make sense those tables are in usd though? Because many of these tables mention the limits and the bigger limits... rarely are tables full. Many times its only 1 player only.

Aren't those dealers shocked at how much money some of these people are betting at the live blackjack tables?

I very much doubt that the dealers would have access to that information, unless the person who was betting told the dealer.

It depends on the live casino solution being used by the casino. For some the dealer just sees the Nickname of the player, others can see the nickname, the casino from where they are playing and the betting amount.

A few concerns need to be added to this.

Firstly live games , far too many black out pages come up whilst higher betting in place , on a convenience level just before the balls does land the screen goes black , then re appears a second later with ball landed , happens way to many times.

next one is pinged bets which don't get placed had this many times as well , the operator will not payout on this , end result although 100% at time of betting these bets were placed , bets taken only to have a problem , funny you may get your bet back , but again if your number was in you would of been paid far more.

the most blatant about so called live games is when you play in a smaller box , when you load the game up & can still see your start balance in right hand corner behind the player box , the same balance is showing in playing box where your placing bets & have the live wheel etc etc , when the dealer spins the wheel , i've noticed on many occasions , before the balls hit a number the big box behind adds whether you've won or lost , by the balance being adjusted , so remains the fact if its live then why is my balance moving before the ball has landed ? delayed ????? & why ????

Would be really helpful if you could name the casino you play at or the Live Casino Solution that is being used. I can take a look and give you my opinion and perhaps take it up with the solution provider.

In my experience blackout pages or bets not being taken are a result of a poor communications between the host provider and where you're playing from.

I experience this on Live Casino and Slots. To minimise this when I'm playing I make sure that my kids aren't downloading movies and other stuff from the internet and I close any apps on my pc that I don't really need.

well there's a fair few neil to be honest , welcome to forum by the way

its far too concerning about the timings of live games & black outs , its far too convenient being playing years & see this all the time , i have closed 5 casinos accounts due to bets being placed & accepted ,then to find a problem to which the casino with immediate effect shall wash their hands of it , stating we've spoken with operator & they've seen no problem or recorded any problem after waiting up to 10 days for response with the matter , i should not have to screen shot every bet due to problems.

netent providers, mg as well , they supply the main live games for a uk player , casinos are royal panda ,ladbrokes,32red & i can go on & on

although i don't play now so often due mainly down to this kind of stuff , but still blackouts only just before ball lands & balance going up before ball lands is kinda bent . also a delayed payment thing when you do win , you go make another bet balance wont let you although you have just hit a number , then after you would of hit another number the balance has been delayed meaning no bet again this is not going to help any live players . its has got better in this though .

Still not convinced by timing of other things & im pretty sure there shall be alot more players like me to have had this & fully understand what im saying.

Also one other thing which happens when the dealer spins the ball ( not that often ) , (voided no spin ) ball doesn't travel around 5 times balls leaves the wheel but i don't get why they would void all bets due to none of these things happening every so often they void bets for no reason ? ? ???, & yes the ball does land only does not matter due to them voiding it?? why????

Thanks for the welcome :)

Certainly streaming capabilities have improved and what you describe would seem to be related to lag of some sort. When I've experienced what your describing (and I have) it is normally the picture that updates last, sound always seems to be better than the visual. If you select the mode without the live video feed you get computer generated images of the table and cards and a real time update and these seem less affected. Also most of the streams try to use HD now, so the Bandwidth demands are greater. Evolution do a good job of adjusting the streaming quality to suit your connection type. Others do not.

The casinos that you mention all use different software providers, so the issue is across all platforms and at different casinos. Royal Panda and 32Red use Evolution, Ladbrokes - Playtech. It would be a bit of a leap to suggest that they are all in collusion with each other. I'd prefer to think the issue is something more simple and not "kinda bent".

I can't really comment on the Roulette issue as I don't really play it so haven't experienced any playing issues.

I will be meeting up with some of the suppliers at the beginning of the year, so I certainly ask them about these type of problems to see what they have to say.

im not saying its a collusion thing or otherwise merely stating facts as what has happened on far too many occasions , my main problem is i go to a local casino put my bets down & watch , i get no lag, no blackouts no problems , online is troubled & plagued with these & the biggest point is this only ever ever happens slightly before that ball lands , make what you want of that , but there lies a very big problem.

lag should not be a problem via stream , if your offering live games you should be using the top stuff to achieve this , not saying ahhhhh please clean your cookies as thats your problem ,i dont have any other programs running whilst playing live games , seems very odd you don't get this with the so called RNG )

But i do hope you could dig up when you see some people it would be good to know . also you could ask whether RNG number is picked before the spin or after ?? MG casinos & netent ))) please

wanted to ask something else. But on 888casino and pokerstars casino etc which are evolution gaming... are the 888 and pokerstars logo actually on the table? I assume not and its just display graphics right? For example, in 888casino, you see jackpot machine at a 777 blackjack table. I assume all of these are animations? However, the thing they have on the table is real though... the one that stats the promotion etc.

The logos etc on the dedicated tables are real. The dedicated tables are built specifically for each client. Also the Slot machines in the background at 777 table are real, although i don't know if they actually work.

Evolution do use green screen technologies on some games like Diamond Roulette. In some of the dedicated areas they also install large TV screens and use those as backdrops.

You're more likely to come across Chromakey technologies in use at Casinos that use NetEnt Live Casino. They seem to be the most prolific user of that technology.

I rarely play table games, and almost never live ones. But I do read this forum regularly. I see more issues with live tables then I ever do with virtual ones, although virtual tables shuffle every hand.

I would never bet behind, you rely on someone else to make the call. It's an option at some live casinos I've played at.

I recently played some live blackjack as part of a Christmas calendar, and I was the only one at a $1 table. Mind you, I'm in Canada, so would have been after midnight for sure on a weeknight. I do not think the casino logo was on the table, although there was animation in the background with the casino mascot.

While the dealer did speak English, I'm quite sure it was not her first language. She was really confused when I said Season's best, and she thought I meant bets.

Nice enough gal, and I'm pretty sure it was powered by Evolution.

I'm guessing that you were playing at Royal Panda. If so they use Evolution. The studio is based in Riga, Latvia where a few of the live casino providers have studios. English is the dealers second language in most cases so the accents can be quite strong. A lot of them are students so fit in work around their studies.

I get constant lags when using Firefox but not with Chrome (Evolution roulette).

Hey all have a few more questions as i played a good bit at 888casino, starscasino and partycasino which is all under evolution gaming.

I noticed there are some animation background. I assume all of this is not real right?

Another thing i noticed was on partycaption, the dealer would acknowledge how many times you won in a row for blackjack. Of course there is a number right under your username that shows this though. But do most sites show this to the dealer? I know partycasino does but 888poker seem to know as well?

This is what has me very curious. Do dealers know how much money you are betting per hand? If they could see how many hands you won in a row and when you show up at the table, they always say hello xxx for example, i assume they could see how much money you are betting?

Also the betting amount thing that i mentioned. I have seen players bet like 500, 1000 and even 5000 on a table. Once i saw this when it was over the table max. So its pretty much most likely this person is not betting in US dollars right?

Evolution use a mix of technologies for the backgrounds you see. Some are green screen, which you'll see on the Party Blackjack tables and the rest are mainly large TV screens built into wall. The images you see are either moving or static.

At Evolution the dealer can see bet amounts, what side bets you've placed etc, so they are to engage more with the players. The betting amounts that differ are due to the local currencies the player is playing with. You may be placing your bets in £ whilst your neighbor will be placing in Rubles or Euros or something else. You only see the max bet for your currency. The other players will see something different.

Different software providers provide different levels of information to the dealer. Some don't show bet amounts for fear of player collusion, but Evolution are happy to provide this as they have the risk controls in place to mange this.

Hi there okay so they could see the wagers. So do you think a lot of them are amazed that certain players are betting 500 and up etc? Like imagine someone betting 500 on each spot and playing 3 spots etc.

For example if you are a dealer and someone is betting the minimum or small amount, well that is nothing special. But if someone is betting like 500, 1000 and up etc, do they just look at it like its nothing etc?

Having spoken to a few dealers, i think when they first start there is an element of "that's a lot of money", but over time it's just normal and they probably zone out.

I've sat in front of the screen that they use to control the game and I can tell you the bet amounts are the last thing they are looking at. There is so much info that they have to follow during game play , they probably don't have time to look and digest the info. Mistakes are a big no no, so they need to follow the on screen instructions to the letter, whilst also monitoring chat, speaking to the players. An experienced dealer makes it look so easy, as a complete amatuer I found it very difficult to follow what was going and perform the actions needed.

The dealers used on the High Stakes and VIP tables are the most experienced and best dealers they have, there is a pecking order, and they have had extra training to deal with those customers.
