Debit card funding

I was hoping that someone can shed some light on funding with a debit card. I have been able to fund using my MC debit card from time to time at Grand Prive casinos and sometimes at Allslots. I will try to fund maybe 3 or 4 times in an hour using different money amounts and it is declined. I will try again in an hour and all of a sudden my deposit will work. It is very random.
I contacted the casinos and they told me it is the banks that are doing this.

So I called my bank and they said NO, it is not them they have no way of stopping this, it must be Mastercard and Visa. Does anyone know why some deposits go through and some don't? This all doesn't make any sense to me right now.

Thanks for any help you may have!! :)

my experience

ever since neteller went away, Ive been using my Visa Debit but some casinos take it and some decline it. The last time I used it was a few days ago at club world and I had no problems

I'm not the expert, but all debit cards usually have a limit. It may be on purchases, atm withdrawals, or both. If your purchases are for fairly large dollar amounts, then you could be hitting the limit. (could be hundreds or thousands depending on your bank).

I've used debit a few times since the neteller kibosh, and it was surprisingly easy. I haven't yet had the opportunity of trying to make a withdrawal after funding that way, though.

Another possibility is that one time I was making many neteller deposits in a row to one RTG casino (on a coupon-deposit-bust-repeat cycle) and after about three tries, it just stopped working, and the casino had to manually process transactions on their side. So in other words, it might be all casino.

Sounds like you're getting the runaround from both casino and bank. Try to find out the ATM limit from your bank.

No, I haven't reached my limit. I started off trying to deposit $25 then I tried $50. After the 5th try at one casino I finally got a $33.33 deposit to go through. After a few hours I tried to deposit again at the same casino and it was declined. It just seems likes a random thing to me, I have no clue.

I had that prob once before, same casino group. Try depositing different amounts every time, that worked for me. It's not that you've reached a limit or anything, it's more about the amounts. Not really sure why, but that was my experience also.

The casinos do not know

Trust me. The casino stuff have nmo clue as to what is the reason of the decline.

They have a text they have been taugh to tell you.

It may actually be the casino's cash processor.
The bank may have declined the transaction and the clerk does not know/understand/wanna tell you.

It may certainly be mastercard or visa.

I think it may even be some liit by visa, that even when there is cash in the card not to allow too many or too big transacton to take place in a certain manner.

Just do not take the clerk's word seriousely:p

Well, the only place I can fund at now is the Grand Prive group and that is random too. They will let me fund one minute and the next hour I can't. This makes no sense to me at all. Thanks everyone and have a great day!!!

Same here. Grand Prive is the only MG group that takes my debit card. They even accepted my BofA credit card, which blew me away.

I believe it depends on how it appears to the processor. If it ambigious wording instead of CASINO DEPOSIT HERE it will go through.

There are very few places that don't take my debit card.

I"ve been trying now for the last few days and I can't even use my debit card now at the Grand Prive casino's or AllSlots. Maybe this is an omen!! LOL

hi guys

Hello :
I used my MC last night on *********** and it works fine, the problem i think in getting declined message is when you make many deposits in 1 hour, anyway, check ***********, i like it :))

I just noticed citibank jacking me with a 3% foreign transaction fee on my debit card funding. Oops. At least it was much less than the 50% bonus I was depositing into.

I had a problem with my debit card a few weeks ago a few weeks ago - my bank, as a "service" to me, put a hold on my card due to three transactions they felt were "odd".

It was over the weekend, so I was pretty much done till I called them on Monday. Was transferred to a department I had never talked to, and the service rep and I played a little game of words as he was fishing to see where my card was used at, and I was dancing around the whole issue while assuring him yes it was me that used the card and everything was really ok.

I called my bank too after my debit card would no longer work. The lady I spoke to told me that they have NO way of knowing what my deposits were being approved for, she said it is Mastercard and Visa they are the ones that issue the debit cards.

Maybe they make the transactions with foreign currencies as the DOJ has a much easier hold on USD? and the fee is for currency exchange?

I just called my bank since my debit card hasn't been working the past few days. They connected me with security which had very nicely put a hold on my debit card for me. It has been lifted now since I verified it was me making the transaction.
