This is a great video if you take the time to watch it and listen to what is being said....

Shadow home secretary David Davis has resigned as an MP, promising to fight to regain his seat on a platform of defending "British liberties".

Seems as though British Civil Liberties are being eroded as fast or faster than American Civil Liberties...

David Icke - Big Brother, the Big Picture (Hull, July 6th 2008)

David Icke speaks to the constituents of Haltemprice and Howden about the 'Big Brother' election, forced by the resignation of David Davis, and the move towards the global Big Brother enslavement we are all facing.

It's around 2:54 minutes long but well worth the watch...;)

If I remember this right, David Davis (an impressive man who was once an SAS special forces officer in the Territorial Army - the UK's equivalent of the National Guard in the US) was a senior member of the Conservative Party opposition who resigned his seat in June this year on a matter of principle as Robwin describes, and then competed in the resulting by-election and convincingly won it back.

He was formerly Shadow Home Secretary and at one time was a contender for the leadership of his party against David Cameron (the present incumbent and likely Britain's next Prime Minister)

Davis was educated at the University of Warwick where be achieved a BSc in Joint Hons Molecular Science/Computer Science. He also took a Master's in Business at London Business School and graduated from the Harvard University Advanced Management Program, according to Wiki.

Like I said - an impressive man.

Right Jet, absolutely impressive and what I would consider to be Britain's equivalent of the American Ron Paul, both great men in their own right and both fighting the uphill battle of our constitutional civil liberties...a constant fight for both of these patriots to try and keep big brother out of our living rooms !!

Was glad to see that he did win his seat back, both countries would be a lot better off with more men like Davis and Paul IMO.
