Licensing Curaçao's Licensee Registration portal goes live

Not exactly earth-shattering news but the Curaçao Finance Minister has now formalized the transition process for Curaçao sub-licensees with the opening of a portal site, portal.gamingcontrolcuracao.org, to allow them to register their license in anticipation of migrating their license to the new regime. This reminds me a lot of a line from a great Ridley Scott film:

Alisha: If we were going to have a conversation we'd first need to have a conversation about how to have a conversation.​

The moral of that story is pretty much what we've been hearing for a while now: changes are coming but there is an unspecified transition period wherein nothing changes.

If you were going to make up a fake domain for the site... that one wouldn't be far off the mark

You'd think they didn't have a government website or a TLD to work with (they do, and dot cw was introduced in 2012)

Yup, totally true. The .org thing is a bit of a mystery, .org was a joke 10 years ago when every scammer figured out they could have one and do their dirty deeds! Why in the hell they'd choose that is beyond me.
