Crazy ebay auctions?

I've been selling a ton on eBay and I've never actually looked around for crazy auctions and what not. But I happened to stumble across this one by mistake.

And then I got curious and saw all kinds of crazy things, for example

The second one (the Chicken Nugget) is showing as SOLD for $3,000...

And the "brain shaped" rock sold for $2,000...!

Must be a wind-up, surely?

Interesting that the rock that sold May 6th was also relisted although it was a one-of-a-kind.

I heard a jar of fresh Welsh air was sold on eBay, and also a bucket of water.

It seems to be down to the write-up, and experience of buying something unique of eBay. Nothing whatsoever to do with the actual value. It seems very much like modern art, such as the unmade bed or the Cow cut in half and pickled, both of which are worth a fortune the FIRST time it is done, and uniquely presented.

Golden Palace buy a lot of this crap off eBay, and can pay some very high prices.

Another trick seems to be to donate a percentage of the final sale price to charity.


There are a great many rich fools with time on their hands
