Bed mate, I’m eating overly late due to the Chinese virus upsetting my routine. Was this at dinner time or bed time??

Love the bows, so humble as they should be.
Back to Corona quickly and regarding the UK lockdown. I agree there may be some forms of civil unrest if it continues but the question is 'will the health service collapse and deaths spiral out of control if it is lifted?'.
If the answer is no then lockdown must and will continue.
As for vaccines there is something about sticking a needle in and injecting a disease that doesnt quite feel or sound right with me.
I opt out of the flu vaccine myself and decided against it for my kids, going against the common trend and advice from family and friends. I think the best chance for my kids to be healthy is to stay away from modern medicine as much as possible.
I am sure there is tons of evidence to suggest i am wrong but then again there would be if the drug companies want to push their medicines and the fat cats boost economies and generate revenue streams.
Anybody of similar thought for their kids? Do many other countries have the flu vaccine? Kids had the standard ones, just thought the flu jab was a step too far

Lots of chicken noodle soup
Aaahhh yes,the miracle that is chicken noodle soup.
Now there is something i must try on the kids.
Dont suppose you have a not so secret family recipe, rather than me trial and error a few?

Hence, I am not taking any responsibility if it won't taste good.
2nd Edit: Ive rubbed my eyes and read it twice plus more. Basically, you can still go to work if you cant work from home. So every building site in the country, as far as i can tell, is allowed to open as long as they are observing social distancing. Good luck with that!

Grandma's Chicken Soup
Anytime someone in my family was sick, my mum or my grandma would send my grandpa to the chicken coop with the words: "Get me an old hen".
Apparently, the older the more fat they accumulate which makes the soup healthier.
Wash it well and put the entire chicken into a pot with hot water. Get it to a boil for 2-3 minutes, stop, empty and clean the pot. Rinse the chicken as well.
Place the chicken into the pot and fill it with hot water until the chicken is covered by about 1 inch. Add a teaspoon full of peppercorns, roughly cut (1-inch pieces) of peeled carrots, leek or onion and fennel.
Let it slow cook/simmer for 2 hours. You will observe some foam building at the top, remove it every 15-20 minutes for the first hour.
Pour the soup through a fine sieve
Add salt and let it simmer without anything for another 20 minutes, pour again through the sieve
You should have now a crystal clear yellowish broth.
Drink the broth by itself or add cut pieces of the chicken, carrots and fennel to the soup. Take some fresh lovage or parsley leaves, cut them into rough pieces and add on top. You can also cook some noodles on the side and add them to the soup if you want.
After having the very hot soup, get into bed and cover yourself well with one or two blankets. Sweat like hell and you'll feel much better after you wake up.
Helped me every time I had a cold in my life. Still do it today, although it is now often an instant soup you buy from the shelf.
EDIT: Disclaimer - I have not cooked it for years, even decades, and the instructions are from my memory which is often not much better than a sieve.Hence, I am not taking any responsibility if it won't taste good.

Well we are currently going thru the peak of the surge in N.Ireland 2 weeks ago their were predicting 15.000 deaths the current figure stands at 134 and 1671 confirmed cases.Yes our 'lockdown' is a bit of a joke and will probably result in cases not falling low enough to even lift restrictions without a massive surge again.
Homemade chicken soup is the best of course
In the cold days of winter mum would boil white wine and gave it to us to drink in a little cup and it used to warm all your body from tip to toe. Alcohol was all gone after boiling, I think![]()
I know this self-isolating thing can make the mind go to some crazy places..Aaahhh yes,the miracle that is chicken noodle soup.

This is something we all need to careful about. Be it Irish Coffee, Glühwein or any other beverage with a hot ingredient, there's just something inherently wrong if your alcohol gets burned off.
Stay safe people, don't misuse alcohol![]()

"Consensus has determined that the Daily Mail (including its online version, dailymail.co.uk) is generally unreliable, and its use as a reference is to be generally prohibited, especially when other more reliable sources exist."I'm not a Brit but isnt the dailymail a tabloid, with near to no reliability?

One has to question the utopia of endless economic growth in a planet with limited resources though.
REVEALED: U.S. government gave $3.7million grant to Wuhan lab at center of coronavirus leak scrutiny that was performing experiments on bats from the caves where the disease is believed to have originated

Atleast wikipedia thinks so.
But i heard from a reliable source that wikipedia is corrupt and part of the conspiracy.

from wikipedia:
Is Wikipedia a reliable source?
Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Wikipedia can be edited by anyone at any time. This means that any information it contains at any particular time could be vandalism, a work in progress, or just plain wrong. ... Wikipedia generally uses reliable secondary sources, which vet data from primary sources.
Articles are only as good as the editors who have been editing them—their interests, education and background—and the efforts they have put into a particular topic or article. Since we try to avoid original research, a particular article may only be as good as (a) the available and discovered reliable sources, and (b) the subject matter may allow.
-------
The dailymail is all over the shop, it will occasionally raise the topic of something, like my post above, that other newspapers will not, also it's not behind a paywall, so needs as big a readership as possible for the adverts etc...they have pro and anti trump articles for example, pro brexit and anti brexit. They've cornered the market a bit with their online site, you frequently see comments under articles from US citizens, and they even have a US news/articles focused edition.
Look at Richy Mcmoneybags over here,,Yeah buy a tin of it. Then open it.
Heat it on a cooker for couple of minutes or stick it in microwave for couple minutes.
Then pour into bowl add loads of salt and pepper and have several slices buttered bread to dip in.

Thanks for these. I will try both soon![]()

You can do a filtered search.I would be interested to know which publications they rate as 'very high' or 'high' regarding the category of 'factual reporting' any way to find that out?

Just like the first trial that reported positive results, this study is still quite anecdotal but at least has been carried out in a professional manner.
Unfortunate TBH as it would have been great to have such a commonly available and cheap drug as a cure.
Question is now, what will be Mr T's next "game changer"?![]()
