Ok. Its unfortunate that what you seen in the media was not correct as I pointed out a few pages back then provided proof of above.
It demonstates to me how the media are scaremongering and not doing what journalists are supposed to be paid to do. It also shows how most of the media are not quick in correcting their mistakes even when it results in panic

Papers compete over who can make the scariest news, but thats always going on, corona or not.

So in sweden where you've adopted a different approach, let's find out why that is, where is the scientific advice the swedish authorities have relied on etc...

Everybody has a natural inquisitiveness, journalists should be even more so, but I'm not seeing it atm.

There must be multiple strains to this illness, prince charles, tom hanks etc.. seem to recover from it like they've had a bad cold, others need respirators and don't make it, but how can multiple strains occur in the timeline, I'm no scientist but I assume it takes a while for a virus to genetically mutate/evolve in the environment.

I like to read different opinions, aslong as they're not too much of a conspiracy theory

When all this finally has a resolve we'll see points from both "sides" that hold up, I'm pretty much convinced nobody has it completely right at this point.

Thanks. I came home at 2am and woke up with sore throat, the feeling of a cold and tickle in my throat and extreme tiredness you get when you are sick. I have been told to stay at home for 2 days as they want me rested if we get fully overwhelmed .... and see how my symptoms progress and if I want a test to go in.

The only positive right now is I dont have a fever as its 36.4 c and the fever is the most telling sign accompanied by these other symptoms.



I am really hoping this is just a cold in cold season.

I have taken 1000 mg of vitamin c just now and a cold fx pill. People may say it doesnt work but it cant do any harm either so why not.

I guess its time for some slots and netflix and try to sleep and rest!

But i think all viruses etc. are the same in the sense that they affect people differently.

It is like the flu. I might get it and be unwell same as one boy yet my other boy might get it real bad.

Or when i was young and was bad outbreaks of Chickenpox. Some kids only had a few spots and just felt bad other kids were covered and really ill.

I dont think we will find out until afterwards how&why it hit them so hard in northern italy.
Maybe something to do with their immune system, maybe something in the water they drink make the virus affect them harder.
Theres a million theories out there, but most of them without sufficent research behind them.

Sadly genetics come into play, some people are more susceptible to certain diseases. Some people have less of a protein that is necessary to have the virus transmit its viral load so they get less sick when others have an abundance and get deadly ill.

Cytokine storm happens when your own immune system starts attacking all cells, not only the infected ones, because it gets so aggrevated by an unknown virus invading the body. So when that happens in this case it will cause all the good cells on the lining of the lungs to be destroyed by their own immune system and then bacteria can "flood" the lungs or one can get a superinfection where organs shut down or in the worst case death follows.
Then there's also the fact that, just like the flu virus btw, it can infect the heartmuscle and there's basically no cure for that.

No idea why Prince Charles or Tom Hanks only have a mild case, perhaps because most (over 80%) cases are mild cases. I don't think it's a priority at this point to do research on them!

There is some chat though that this virus may be mutating at faster levels and even some research done suggesting it may be becoming airborne! That would certainly be a game changer. Google it on today's results

If you're referring to the message being relayed on (anti-)social media about it being airborne, the WHO has already factchecked that 2 days ago.



Not sure about the mutation, from what I read earlier today it isn't a fast mutating virus. Do you have any links? I don't feel like going through pages of Google results.
