Corona virus - Covid 19 discussion

And you said i lowered mental age to 10.
What age are you shooting for, 5?

Yes we can cure all cancers, but all the evil doctors and hospitals around the world would rather have us die.
Got it.

Again you twist things, my point is this is what was said in the Rockefeller foundation by Richard Day in 1969, how is that having a mental age of 5 when all I have done was point out that is what he said to a group of doctors, the same institute that founded the WHO and you are saying that is mental age of 5 for pointing this out? and you do not think that is alarming? I think it is more mental to trust an organisation that says those things, then professes to be the be all and end all on world health, we will never agree so you believe what you like and I will believe what I like as we are free to do, who said all doctors are evil and hospitals are? I guess you have never heard of compartmentalisation.

Wouldnt say thats the worst that can happen.

can occur at doses above 3 grams per day.

Either way, any and all non-proven cures should not be advertised in a thread like this that alot of people read.
Will end up with people drinking fishtank-cleaner.

True, and that is a crazy amount of a Vit C. I should have said within reason. But I guess reason is subjective.

I think if you started feeling symptoms it wouldn't do much harm to start taking 2-3 grammes of vitamin c, I'd probably do that. A few months back I started to feel like a sore throat was developing, that lurgy feeling, so I had a couple of those vit C drinks and the following day my throat cleared and I never came down with anything. It was probably only going to be a mild cold but still the vit C seemed to do something.

Vitamin C has also been investigated to see whether it can help with psychiatric disorders, like anxiety etc..

Our brain is a power consumer of vitamin C, the vitamin that cuts your colds short. Brain concentrations of the vitamin are far greater than those in the rest of the body, and long after the body is depleted of the vitamin, the brain maintains its levels. That's partly because the metabolic furnaces in neurons churn through glucose to power all your thoughts and feelings and movements, and as an antioxidant, the vitamin's job is to surrender electrons to neutralize rogue oxygen molecules given off in the process—free radicals that damage

and generally age your cells. But vitamin C also does more, and some 80 years after its discovery, its additional roles are just coming to light.

Chief among them are actions in the nervous system. Vitamin C plays a role in the differentiation and maturation of neurons and in the formation of the myelin sheath that protects them and speeds impulse transmission, making the vitamin crucial to cognitive performance. It is a cofactor in the synthesis of several neurotransmitters, it's needed to convert dopamine to serotonin, and it modulates neurotransmitter release in nerve cells. And while it's long been known that the vitamin is a component of collagen, a stabilizing force for teeth, bones, and blood vessels, only now is its role in ensuring blood vessel integrity seen as a factor in cognitive capacity, especially as we age.

#Regular intake of vitamin C attenuates colds, shortening their duration and severity.

#High levels of vitamin C intake are linked to a lessened chance of developing eye cataracts and macular degeneration. [interesting, I thought vit A was important for eyesight]

There are loads more benefits listed in that article too.

The article does not really specify what "high levels of vitamin c" is.
300mg is high compared to the daily recommended intake for example.

Because it is very cheap and is not as mega profitable as their drugs? and they are never taught through medical school any of these other treatments? so they do not know any different I don't know, perhaps go look up Linus Pauling who was the godfather of Vitamin C

Linus Carl Pauling was an American chemist, biochemist, chemical engineer, peace activist, author, and educator. He published more than 1,200 papers and books and The only person twice decorated with a Nobel Prize not shared with anyone else.
Yep, I have great respect for Linus Pauling. He is my favourite historical scientist. Pauling knocked it out of the park with electronegativity and valence bond theory and many other concepts. But every scientist I know has swings and misses. Even Einstein effed it up over quantum theory. It happens.

Pauling may or may not be right about Vitamin C. I don’t know. But it is a false assumption to think medical doctors don’t know about Vitamin C because they weren’t taught in medical school. And somehow you know the truth? And doctors only care about profiteering from drug sales? Please. That is so patronizing it is borderline insulting. Not the doctors I know. They tend to be decent and caring people.

Matriculation at the University of Google does not confer expertise or proficiency on any subject, especially any of the sciences. I don’t care how many hours of “research” you’ve done.

The reason I mention him again here is that he told those doctors in 1969:
We can cure almost every cancer right now. Information is on file in the Rockefeller Institute, if it’s ever decided that it should be released.’
Day said that letting people die of cancer would slow down population growth.
‘You may as well die of cancer as something else’.

This is conspiracy theorist garbage. I worked in a cancer research lab for years. The term cancer can be misleading. There are so many different types, causes, and complexities of uncontrolled cell growth that some of them should be in a different category altogether.

There is no “cure” to the umbrella term, cancer and certainly not in 1969. Sure, some cancers can be treated with great success. But “cancer” is hundreds of different diseases.

I'd say big pharma care about profiteering from drug sales and this then affects the doctors, they get leant on by the system...

There's big money at stake, research and trials are manipulated to get safety approval etc..it's not all bad but it could do with some more 'not for profit' input, universities and professors funded to do more independent research. We were promised years back of 'gene' based cures for many diseases but it doesn't seem to have happened yet much afaik.

Because it is difficult AF. I worked for a biotech company developing gene therapy for Type 1 diabetes. An idea from basic research to an actual functional therapy can take 20 years, if it ever gets off the ground at all.

When I left the company, they were at the pig trial stage. Yes, there are several levels of animal trials that take years before human clinical trials can be considered.

Failure is a daily occurrence punctuated by brief and glorious moments of success. That’s what research is and why it takes so long. And I won’t even get started on the funding side of it.

My girlfriend is a nurse but luckily not in the virus ward. She took 7 days off as felt ill but everything is alright and on Sunday she is going back. Currently, NHS hasn't got enough and proper protective equipment for their staff so yesterday had to order from eBay 20 of those simple face protective masks for £25 ( ) so she is at least somehow protected while being there.

Ideally and especially now, in hospitals, all patients, staff and visitors must wear masks but unfortunately, it's not happening... :machinegunner:

Icke on the case, not comfortable viewing for those that only believe in the official narrative, which would be 99.9% of the people on the planet, for the 0.1% enjoy.

Your loving mainstream media is not telling you about vitamin c? I wonder why? they make it seem like you are screwed, heres a blog post from a british doctor.

"I am a GP living in Macclesfield, having graduated from Aberdeen medical school many moons ago. This blog is my best effort at providing some balance to the increasingly strident healthcare lobby that seems intent on scaring everyone about almost everything. Is there a foodstuff that is safe to eat anymore? Is there any activity that does not cause cancer or heart disease?"

VITAMIN C

"Vitamins always cause massive controversy, and the mainstream medical community tends to be highly critical of the use of vitamins. However, vitamin C has been found to have many, many, positive impacts on the immune system. It also protects the endothelium lining blood vessels – thus preventing/delaying passage of pathogens from the bloodstream.

I include the full abstract from the 2017 paper ‘Vitamin C and Immune Function.’ It contains a great deal of medical jargon, but I have highlighted the most important parts.

‘Vitamin C contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system. Vitamin C supports epithelial barrier function against pathogens and promotes the oxidant scavenging activity of the skin, thereby potentially protecting against environmental oxidative stress."

It is unlikely that anyone working in the medical system in the West will agree to using high dose Vitamin C as part of any management plan. However, if your loved one is extremely ill in hospital I would recommend speaking to the doctors and asking if this can be added. Whilst it is possible that vitamin C may prove ineffective, it also does no harm. Those who are currently attacking the use of Vitamin C and attacking those who believe vitamin C may be beneficial are, I believe, mainly concerned with their personal reputations. ADVICE: Take at least 2g of Vitamin daily C to ‘prevent’ infection, probably more like 5g. Increase the dose to at least 10g if you are suffering symptoms."

Alex Jones and david ICke.

Dream team of conspiracy theories.

Good job there NHS. Ignoring early warnings by the WHO amongst others to contain the potential outbreak, test & isolate people at the onset.

But no, let's stand at our front doors and clap for them

Hardly down to the nurses etc who I think most people were clapping for though?

I was talking about the NHS' handling of this, and from what I can gather people clapped for the NHS?

The majority of the people clapped for were not the decision makers . They were the people who work ridiculously long shifts and save lives whilst risking their own
I agree maybe clapping for the nhs was the wrong term to use but the applause was for the people who actually do stuff and who will end up saving nutnut when he has finnished spending most his life outdoors and gets infected!

The front-line workers get a raw deal as it is, I've known enough people that have worked in that field to appreciate their efforts and endeavour. I thank them enough without standing at my door clapping for them, whilst the NHS' higher-ups lap up the same adulation

I only know one nurse personally so I don't thank them on a regular basis. At the moment they are stretched beyond anything I can imagine. My job , before I got laid off was a waste of space in comparison.

I saw a video clip of a paramedic leave her house to go to work , she lives in a small close, it was in the day time. Her neighbours were all waiting in their gardens and cheered and clapped her when she came out . She was so moved . She cried.

So if I clap and 10000 like her are recognised I don't care if a few idiots at the top preen. I don't cut off the many deserved ones for the underserved.

Finally working from home.

But now our local shops alllowing 5 in at a time so we all gather outside waiting spreading it.......

also had a woman with her husband in a park ask me to stay away as we walked past. if you that paranoid stay home and sit in your garden you entitled bitch.

Unless he’s switched to mobile he’ll be at the laptop chasing the D. The sunlight won’t get him, never mind the virus

Yet it's these gestures, the clapping, that are practiced by the very people that smash NHS workers' cars, cough on nurses & loot supermarkets. They probably believe that makes them good people whilst on the other hand sticking two fingers up at health workers

What you doing in a Park?

Just cos there’s a pandemic doesn’t make your restraining order any less void.

People like that are despicable . I'm not clapping for them or because of them . What they do with regards clapping I can't control. I will not let them or their behaviour determine whether I say thankyou though.

Didnt hear any clapping here
but then, it'd be drowned out by all the kids gathered together playing and shooting hoops outside and the nightly mass gatherings around bonfires

eesh

To be honest I'm more inclined to buy local nurses/ health workers a nice thankyou present and leave it in person than be the forlorn clapper in my roughshod neighbourhood

That would be a lovely gesture. What will you be buying? All my neighbours clapped here. It's not posh here at all but not the bronx either lol

Just a thankyou communal gift. Chocolates/ flowers

Unless I scout the hospital for the nurse of my choosing and give her the flowers  :p

Do you actually read any of the tripe you post?

Your nothing better than a junkie, all you care about is your next fix on Bonanza.

You really have shown your true colours since the pandemic kicked off.

This morning i went to my local shop at opening time and grabbed some stuff and started at the till. There are 3 queued behind me and whilst my corner shop pal, Provode (not sure if the spellings right) is processing the stuff one of the people behind interrupts me half way talking by shouting 'how much is a lighter mate'.

Long story short he jumped queue claiming he had to get a train to which i replied - there are no trains and i am being served at the minute if he wants to wait, he says he cant and Provode, the wally, gives him a lighter whilst the guy throws pennies on the counter while i can smell his breath and the tries justifying his intrusion to me.

Then when i say I have kids at home waiting and we all have to wait he says 'well you better get home then' as he is leaving the shop. Like a child who dares to say something and then runs. Not a major incident but i need to vent.

Normally i would object to anybody throwing their weight around. I cannot stand bullies, my pet hate. In this instant i was left fuming and literally had to stop myself from doing something he would regret. Due to the current situation he broke social distancing rules and imposed himself on me and the others around him.

I am glad i kept my cool. With my Nan passing, my kids getting cabin fever, not to mention all the other crap i deal with from the ex and now a goon thinks he can push in and get in my face with a bullshit story for an 80p lighter.

Patience is definitely a virtue.

Rant over, thanks :)
Not being harsh but there had been a number of infections caught on trains. He might regret being such a pain in the ass. Surely he could have tried to ask you to include the lighter in your purchases and hand you the money.

Hey....

Uncalled for.

what’s Bonanza ever done to you?

You were in Canada? This is not what I am looking forward too when back to work Monday, everyone yelling at everyone to get away.

I've been out last 2 days; everyone was more pressed together and chatty than the opposite

Stores now were all taped off for social distancing but everyone otherwise was all milling about and chatting, breathing on everyone
few more masks out today though
