The reason alcohol is considered essential is they don't want thousands of people rushing to the hospitals with alcohol withdrawal syndrome. This is serious stuff and life threatening for many of them.

Have a Drs appt next week, yearly physical, but I'm bailing on it
Not being sick not really keen on sitting in a room with other patients at mo' - plus, the really dont need to be taxed if I'm overall fine

Drawback, it'll be months before I get another appt.

More concerned with mom; while we're/she's getting f*cktons of hrs and has job security, she's still in there with patients every day and she's older than half the patients

‘Late night corona cooking with playford’ is upon us all.
(I’ve not found a description I like as yet so may change)
What we have here is a fine bread bun, lightly buttered and topped with a lightly breadcrumbed chicken breast, seasoned with the usual salt and black pepper.
Wanted chips but the process was far to lengthy and advanced for a mere streamer hater like me, so new potatoes that have been doused in salted butter.
The salad you all witness is crunchy (had to pick the onion out) raw onion is the work of the devil.
the new potatoes and chicken are a Staple of protein that’s needed to maintain my 14st of muscle, otherwise I’d have arms like spaghetti and look like Tom hanks from Philadelphia, or just look like a massive geek like nick slots, and we can’t have that!.
the sauce was added after, it was a sweet baby ray bbq. Also some home made hot sauce.
the stella has ended and it’s just generic black current to wash down such a corona-tastic treat.

A tiny amount? A lot of places reported being busier than bank holidays. I know someone with a chip shop in a coastal town a little further north than here, he said Saturday was the busiest day they had had since they opened 15 years ago, but yes, just a tiny amount of people.

He warned last week this would happen if people didn't keep their distance. That was before any press pictures of the weekend. They didn't, he followed through with what he said would happen.

I read your posts from yesterday and I just put it down to the possibility that you where tripping or just in denial.
But you are continuing on your theme
There is one thing defending the narrative of alternative media and its news. It is an entirely other thing to confuse reality with it.

Mine where cancelled last week to fly to work. at the minute we have flights, but only limited to those wanting to travel home from somewhere abroad.
and they are being told to return asap where vacancies allow.

God my family is rediculous, They don't listen! What part of you have to slow down and food has to last longer do they not understand? Also, they wait till the last second to do anything, We are low on food and 3 of them sitting around all day at home and think we can wait till Thursday or Friday, We are getting shut down and in a state of emergency now in my city, there is no Thursday or Friday.

Yes, people didnt heed the warning but to be fair i dont think the message was very clear and it was done too late.

The UK had time to cope better and it was not used.

Schools only closed on Friday when the UK was already in the grip of spiralling numbers.

Too reactive and not pro-active enough. His speech also mentioned how no health service in the world will cope, no matter how good, unless we slow the spread.

110% correct but you can also prepare more for the onslaught. Some countries converted manufacturing to face masks and sanitisers etc. Set up testing centres and medical tents using their Army. Our response was not pro-active enough.

Over 7000 bought out of retirement just now. Should have been done sooner. We did not prepare like we could have.
