Confused by bonuses.

Last night I made a small deposit of $30 with Slotswolf and received a $30 bonus. So I played and lost $5. Checked my balance which was $55 and was able to withdraw $25 of that. I continued playing until my balance was $70 and found that I could only withdraw $30 and not $40 which I was expecting to see. Seems to me that it's a case of tails we (the casino) win and heads you (the player) lose. When I'm losing I'm losing my real money. When I'm winning I'm only winning bonus money. Just doesn't seem right to me. No, I didn't really want to withdraw anything - I was just curious and wanted to understand what happens.

The odds dont change whether youre playing bonus funds or real funds; the casino hasnt the means to switch it up willy-nilly. It's far more likely you notice little things more when it's 'your' money'
It wasn't a question about odds changing. Just a query about how bonuses work.

There's no simple answer I'm afraid as it isnt uniform across the board.
You have to read the Ts and Cs in every instance, and when in doubt, check with support for clarity.

I cancelled the bonus and forfeited the $10. Bonuses are too confusing.

depends on the casino or casino group

most of the Direx Nv casino you have to complete wagering wagering before you can deposit , if you are equal to or above the starting balance you can forfeit bonus and cashout your deposit (you still need to wager your depositX3) but if you are below starting balance you can withdraw part of deposit only , after wagering you can withdraw all

This is so true. Recently I played a bonus of 135% on my $25 deposit. I won $750 so I had played through I requested a payout. Well two weeks later after docs cleared and everything was sent. They informed me I would be getting $208 wired to my bank account. Which a international wiring fee will be charged by my bank. The said the rules stated that they would take out 10x my bet and the bonus amount. $190 is what is left of my withdrawal. Believe me I read the rules and they were complicated and I did not see the 10x my bet.
I was assured it was there. Lesson learned.
