Codeta and Everymatrix self exclusion issue

Yes *collective sigh* the words Everymatrix, self exclusion and issue together once more.

I have contacted the Codeta rep.

I self excluded from the Everymatrix group last year. Not an easy thing to do, I had problems with their whole player protection from start to finish.
Eventually they confirmed they had detected accounts with jetbul and a few others and that I was self excluded from their network until 2021. I thought I had an account with Next Casino that Everymatrix had missed so checked my exclusion by giving my name, address and dob. Thankfully Next casino got back to me to confirm I was indeed excluded on the Everymatrix network.

Over the past month I have been gambling again. Had a few withdrawals and just about broke even.

I checked the casinomeister site and noticed Codeta on the top recommendations list. I did a quick google search and did not see any terrible reviews so opened an account but did not accept the bonus.

I lost about £600 on Codeta and started to get the feeling I was going to chase the losses so spoke with chat to request self exclusion. Codeta chat confirmed the Codeta account was now closed but I had to email Everymatrix to be self excluded.

I had no idea Codeta was an Everymatrix casino, or I would have never opened an account given my past issues with them and the unlikelihood they would have ever paid out given I was SE.

I checked with Codeta and they confirmed I had not made a mistake with my registration details, same name, dob and address as I had excluded. (The same details as Next casino had used to identify I was excluded on the network.)

I am really annoyed that the exclusion did not work.

I am also annoyed that Codeta chat stated the following...
I see, unfortunately as per UK Gambling Commission rules we cannot help you in self exclusion matters. This needs to be handled by Everymatrix directly with

Now please correct me if I am wrong but the UK GC does not rule a casino cannot help with self exclusion? If a player contacts a casino to request SE due to problem gaming why can't the casino contact the license holder to exclude the player from the network?

Also, and I know this is sacrilicious, I love casinomeister but there are so many issues regarding Everymatrix and SE is it really advisable for casinomeister to promote any Everymatrix casino until their self exclusion policies are tightened.

Don't get me wrong, I am at fault. I should have checked Codeta was not an Everymatrix casino and I am responsible for the deposits, but SERIOUSLY when are Everymatrix going to get their shop in order. So many other casino groups can detect SE accounts in seconds.

Cheers for reading

Says on every page of Codeta "The website is operated and managed by EveryMatrix Software Ltd" how did you miss that?

You should always check at:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
before playing at any casino if you have previously self-excluded.

There has always been a 24-48 hour delay before EveryMatrix automatically close accounts if your are SE. Not ideal as it should check at sign-up.

Hi Nicola and thank you for your reply

How did I miss that? Simple, I just signed up and deposited. No mention of Everymatrix. Though I take your point, I should have scroled down and read the writing at the bottom of the page. I should have also checked the licence.

Just a side point. Your Codeta chat stated that 'as per UK GC rules we cannot help you in self exclusion matters'

I would like to know which UKGC rules they where refering to?

I ask because it seems to be a issue with all Everymatrix casinos that the casino ask the player to contact everymatrix to enact a self exclusion. This can take days. Other casinos with other operators who hold UKGC licences seem to be able to pass on the self exclusion request and get it enacted straight away.

Many thanks for your time, J
