I received the email below, so I tried out their chip, managed to double it up and proceeded to initiate a withdrawal for a measly $50.

Surprise! Withdrawal removed and monies confiscated.

I contacted support, who then tried to claim that the email below was a fake and that it was not a direct invitation of the casino..

Now I have lost at least a couple grand at Clubworld without EVER being able to initiate a withdrawal, this one at Aladdins would have been my first and they are claiming that in addition to the below email being a fake (which it clearly is not as it quotes my name and username), that I have claimed multiple coupons. If I have done this, then why send another free chip???

Seems to me like a classic bait and switch. Get them in there playing on a free chip, hope they lose and then deposit.... If they try to withdrawal on the chip, no problem, we will just make a bunch of excuses!

They cannot do this.
Lauren <promotions@clubworldcasinos.com> is the usual, legit promotion mailadress for all CWC promos.
Not some shady affiliate.
Its definately NOT a fake mail.

I would contact the rep. here, there has to be some kind of misunderstanding, if not, file a PAB, as CWC is accredited.

This.......

Just redeem the following coupon code once you have created your account and the chips will be in your balance instantly:

It clearly indicates this bonus was for a new player, so, if this was your 1st time playing at Aladdin`s Gold, then you are 100% in the right ;).

I`ve received same email with free chip but I didnt manage to complete playthrough so I dont know how cashout would have been handled.

Same sending email address few days ago for Highnoon casino.

Honestly, its not worth the $50 to try to get the money from anyone, just wanted to make sure it goes on record for shady practices

mixed message

"It's been a while since.." and then " once you have created your account..."

So which is it? If they have noticed that you haven't been at the casino , hence.."it's been a while since.." then why would they say," once you have created your account"?

"a while since" refers to Club World, but "once you have created an account" refers to a DIFFERENT casino in the group. The marketing is based on the player possibly being disatisfied by their experience at Club World, but may still like RTG software. The aim is to get the player to try a different "skin", and with a free chip this is a "no obligation" offer.

If this really is a "fake email", then Club World have STILL breached the standards for being an accredited casino, just a different standard.

There had been a number of complaints about "Club World spam" in the past, but now we have them ON RECORD admitting that this particular email WAS indeed SPAM. This shows that whatever action they promised to take at the time was INEFFECTIVE, and there may be MANY players responding to similar fake emails.

Club World are implying that the OP should have known this was a fake offer, so perhaps the rep can elighten us as to exactly HOW the average player is supposed to tell the difference between this email, and the genuine article, and using techniques and language that the AVERAGE USER can understand and implement, rather than the COMPUTER EXPERT.

Even if it was a fake, THE DAMN CODE WORKED!!! How come? How does a faker "know" the correct code?

Usually what happens in cases of fake offers is that the player creates the account, but finds that the code does NOT work, and support say there was "never any such code". This is logical, the rogue affiliate has made up a fake code, and has gained a "conversion" from the spam because the recipient opened an account. He may get paid for this even if the player never deposits.

Club World need to take this issue SERIOUSLY, this is not simply spam, IT IS FRAUD! This is not simply a "spammy affiliate", but a FRAUDULENT one who has deliberately "gaffed" the email so as to appear genuine. He also seems to have some "inside help" from within Club World, since he has been able to provide a VALID, yet fake, new player code.

I can't see how the OP stood a chance in the face of this level of email fraud.

This affiliate better not just get "spoken to", or asked to see "the error of his ways". He needs to be KICKED OUT, and a strong message sent to others that deliberate "gaffing" of emails so as to appear to come directly from "Lauren" at an official INTERNAL Club World address will NOT BE TOLERATED.

Until then, players CANNOT TRUST ANYTHING "LAUREN" TELLS US - it could be an imposter, and WE will be made to pay, NOT the casino.

My ISP puts all the "Lauren" mailers into SPAM anyway, otherwise I might have seen this too.

Hi Guys,

This was a genuine email from us containing a valid coupon code.

The problem here is that it was the seventh free chip darkpixie had claimed on non depositing accounts with Aladdins Gold so I am afraid we couldnt pay the win.

Kind Regards
Tom

Then 1st why send her the email? and 2nd why was she able to claim it?

Casinos really should stop mailing out coupons to players and allowing them to claim it, if they are basically not eligible!. Also by non depositing ACCOUNTS your saying the op has more than 1?

BTW, this is not a shot at you Clubworld Just always wondered why these things are not stopped at the back end? Posts like this would not exist!

Cheers
Matt

Now thats a shock....

My understanding of the offer was that it was for new accounts only.

It states (in part):

Darkpixie you have been around long enough to know exactly what that email is all about. I have received a few of these and I deleted them when I realised it was for new accounts at Aladdins Gold (I already had an account there). IMO you have a hide coming here and slinging cr*p at an accredited casino when you have already claimed seven free chips there. Actually, I would be interested to know how you were able to claim 7 free chips in the first place.....you obviously kept redeeming these chips that you were not entitled to (and you knew it) and got sprung when it came to cashout time. If, in fact, you opened seven different accounts then you are a fraudster and should be banned.

You got caught with your hand in the cookie jar - take it on the chin and move on.

Agree completely, but I still have to ask why they get sent out in the first place and are able to be claimed.Unless of course it is the multiple accounts issue?

They do it quite often. I have got similar mails a few times even if I already have an account at Aladdins. Never tried to claim tough as its only for new players.

So, this is all down to multiple accounts. OP created account, played and lost on free chip, and then did this 5 more times, creating a duplicate account each time. With the seventh account and free chip, OP managed to win and withdraw. Verification then discovered the other 6 accounts and decided not to pay.

One problem, the OP said the reason given by support was NOT about having multiple accounts, but that the "email was fake".

I contacted support, who then tried to claim that the email below was a fake and that it was not a direct invitation of the casino..

Did this REALLY happen when the OP contacted support, or has the OP simply made this up to support their case?

Can Club World PAB against this player? It could be a useful service for casinos when faced with a player who decides NOT to expose their case to the scrutiny of the PAB process, but instead decides to take the issue public.

We could then have a rogue pit for players. It would at least give us some idea of the extent of this problem, in the same way that the current rogue casino list gives an idea of the sheer number of dodgy operations trying to scam us out of our hard won money.

Bryan has one and its called the ban button.:D

Bryan has one and its called the ban button.:D

Well yes, but it is not summarised together in a single section, along with a reason for the ban. Banned posters quickly vanish into obscurity once banned simply because they can no longer post. Unless you were part of the thread that got them banned, even seeing someone's name in red does not indicate WHY they were banned.

Only a small number of players end up with a "bad player" citation on the site, such as the annual award. This makes it look like fraudulent players are rarer in general than rogue casinos, yet we are being told that player fraud has never been as bad as it is now. Currently, the only guide is the number of discarded PABs due to player fraud, but again this information is buried in the blogs, rather than being in a summary table.

In this case, the OP has NOT been banned, even though the casino says this is a case of multiple accounting with SEVEN attempts on the free chip followed by a selective complaint making it look like this was a player only opening ONE account, and playing the free chip ONCE, and winning straight away.

OK, to clear the air.

First of all IF I had multiple accounts it would not have been intentional. I sign up at a lot of casinos to try them out, so many in fact that in hindsight I suppose a spreadsheet tracking them all may have been prudent. But who does that?

Second of all. I also don't keep track of where I have deposited and how much.

Third of all, when I receive a DIRECT mailing from a casino I ASSUME that they have done their homework already that I would be ELIGIBLE for the free chip they are offering and so I use them! Who doesn't use free money when it comes their way? If I had truly used 7 free chips at ALADDINS (which if this IS the case it was again not intentional) Why did they keep emailing me them when I was not eligible to claim any winnings on them?

Lastly, I do not go around opening multiple accounts at accredited casinos and claim free chips on them in an effort to defraud anyone. That is retarded.

I would also like to say that it is crude and erroneous for clubworld to come on the boards and accuse me of wrong doing, and further for the members of this board to hit some level of mass hysteria and finger pointing. Clubworld has not closed any of my accounts at thier group of casinos, if I was really trying to defraud them wouldn't that be the first step? They seem to forget that I have made many MANY MANY deposits at their group of casinos over the years and not had ONE SINGLE CASHOUT and as far as I can recall I've never even been in the position to have one.

Why they would leave this important information out is of course obvious.

Me, in case I want to reopen an account or I get an invite from one I already belong to which does happen a lot and that is the reason for my list of casinos, logins and passwords ...(Passwords are all different)...I thought everyone did this to keep their accounts straight? I guess I must be a very anal person ....unlike others

.

Yeah I am not that anal, I blame it on the ADD

I do not want you to think I am judging you by any means, because I am not but, you did come here and post your side of the situation, CWC has the right to post their side. The amount of deposits you have made with this group is irrevelant here. It is about an e-mail you received offering you a new player bonus. I agree with Nifty on this, you have been around a long time and should of known what the e-mail was stating. I am sure you are not the only person to have received this e-mail.

We all make mistakes, we are only human. But replying that it is "crude and erroneous" for CWC to come on here and defend their group is unfair. Why you were allowed to claim 7 free chips is beyond me, but any one can very easily look in their history to see when they have deposited last or claimed a free chip.

Again, I am not judging you, but before you start making negative comments about an accredited casino group, take a look at the bigger picture and see what is there, sometimes you will be surprised.

Why you were allowed to claim 7 free chips is beyond me

Exactly and this is part of the issue that everyone is being distracted from. Why are they sending out offers such as these to people who are clearly not eligible for them? Allowing them to be used, and then confiscating the winnings. Time and time again. I will tell you why, it is so that they can induce you to deposit once the free chip busts out. They have absolutely no intentions of making good on the offers in the first place and so that is why they are sent out en mass to any player they can get their hands on regardless of how many chips they have claimed, which in my opinion, should I be permitted to have one is irresponsible and borders on fraud.

But I'm the bad guy.

I do a spreadsheet also, lol.
I joined a place twice, once. Luckily I caught it before I did any playing or claiming or deposting. Sometimes I forget :(

I have also claimed a few free chips in a row, some are for bdays, holidays, etc. Have to say that if they do not want you doing that the software should halt the process (some places do), or just don't send back to back freebees. Why did it let her claim it?

There are some rough judges in this forum, I hope I never have to come here with a problem (which is funny because I joined way back when in case I ever DID have a problem!).

Yup thats right.....just keep finding ways to make it CW's fault so you dont have to accept any personal responsibility.

The bottom line is that you KNEW it was for new players only, therefore you KNEW you were ineligible.

Are you really trying to claim you didn't know you had claimed SEVEN free chips from the one casino? You must really think we are all stupid. Two freebies (i.e. claimed a second one accidentally) I can understand, but SEVEN? Give me a break

I can't believe that people expect everyone else to hold their hand and put special code in place to prevent them incorrectly claiming offers. For goodness sake it is COMMON SENSE! If it doesn't apply to you, don't claim it!

I also want someone to explain to me how CW are supposed to stop someone like Dark Pixie from claiming new player coupons on new accounts they create? It is possible to register new accounts at RTG casinos easily, unlike MGS who obviously try to catch the fraud before it occurs. However, it does not excuse the behaviour of the player in creating multiple accounts to defraud the casino in the first place.

I missed that. She had multiple accounts?
I thought Tom said she claimed 7 freebees in a row, did not see the part about multi accounts.

I am just curious, did she have multiple accounts, or did she claim 7 free chips on a single account?

I read Toms post, and it said she claimed 7 free chips in a row, and unless I missed something, he didn't say 7 different accounts.

Forgive me if I am mistaken.
