Mr Q is requesting that I connect my banking app to Clearstake. This is in addition to having to provide proof of ID and address, my latest payslip and an image of my bank card. Has anyone done this? I don't have a bank app installed anyway. I do all my banking on the website.

I received this request from MrQ and told them where to go.

There is NO WAY I will EVER give a casino (Or any company) full access to my bank account transactions and history.

IMO any casino asking to access peoples bank accounts should be labelled as ROGUE.

That's L&L in the rogue pit, sorry @L&L-Jan, times up.

It's way too strong to call that rogue behaviour, open banking is just a trendy, privacy invading EDD check combined with "tailoring spending limits". Rogue should be reserved for far more malevolent behaviour.
 
Anyone who agrees to open banking in any form really needs their heads testing. Even my own bank has asked " if I would like to " no effing way was my response so you can imagine what the answer would be for a casino.

One did ask me a couple of months ago and I no longer play there, as I pretty much immediately closed my account, if any others ask or force me to comply they will be met with the same fate.

Sorry, but that's a step way too far, when we have deposit limits, loss limits we should NOT be subjected to such intrusive sensitive data to be shared willy nilly with god knows who.
 
MrQ are withholding £80 from me, said even if I close my account they wouldn't withdraw it until I complete EDD.

The support agent did say I could send PDF statements if I wasn't comfortable using the open banking app, so you could try this.

I would comply with the EDD f I had used bank to deposit but every single deposit was through PayPal, so they don't have any details of any bank accounts I have and I think it's irrelevant to ask
 
Easier to login to your bank through clearstake instead of the need to provide bank statements after each session.

Ask them the purpose of the checks. They tried the same with me. I established with speaking to UKGC that they had no grounds for withholding my funds. In end I did a bank charge back for the amount they refused to payout. Please report the matter to the UKGC.
