Chopley's grand Netent adventure at Mr Green

Good luck to you Chopley. I busted on 98% from a £100 deposit.

I am still unsure about Netent slots. It's refreshing to play something that isn't microgaming though so i'll probably play again but keeping the bets low.

98%! That's a harsh bustout..... Your expected wagering on a 'perfect' 96% RTP would have been £5000, so to bust out just before £3500 is a bit unlucky.

I'm going to ask customer services if they can send my validation code via email as Andy seemed to suggest they should be able to do it in his post above.

No dice with CS, I guess I will have to wait for Andy's direct intervention with them.

I mean, really guys, I AM TRYING TO GIVE YOU SOME MONEY HERE, we all accept I've pretty much taken on a financial suicide mission so it's not like I'm stalking some juicy bonus opportunity or suchlike.

The thing that bugs me about this is a mobile number doesn't 'validate' anything, it doesn't make the account any more secure, all it does is give the casino a potential marketing tool - and I don't like that.

And in the meantime I've got £250 burning a hole in my Neteller account.....

Muhammed: Welcome to Mr Green how may I help you?

You: Hi there could I get my account validation code sent to me via email please? I've discussed it with Andy (your casino manager at Casinomeister) and he said that CS would be able able to send my validation code via email rather than an SMS. My registered account email is [email protected] I can send you a link to the post at Casinomeister if you wish to see it :)

Muhammed: Sadly, we can't send a validation code via e-mail or chat.We require a valid mobile phone number at registration in order for us to send you or validation code. If you wish to change your mobile phone number please send us a e-mail from your account to [email protected].

You: I've been through this with Andy as I don't like giving my mobile number out, the number I entered at registration is a landline that diverts to voicemail, TBH I don't understand why you insist on a mobile number?
Not everyone likes to give their mobile number out :)

Muhammed: I understand your point but unfortunately this is the only thing i can do.

You: alright i'll leave it for now then and hopefully andy will be able to help me, thanks for your time :)

Muhammed: No problem sir, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

Muhammed: is there anything else i can do for you?

You: no that's all thanks :)

I just love CSR's. You can tell that "Muhammed" is well aware of what's going on and isn't acting like a robot reading a sheet of paper with instructions.

That represent a major success for NetBent casinos. I never got near 98% at any of the dozen or so NetBent's I've joined.

This is why I'm keen to get started on my little experiment, I'm hoping that a combination of a decent bankroll (£500, I've decided to max out the SUB) along with sensible bets (50p or less) and the high RTP (all the slots I'll be playing are 96% RTP or higher) will surely, surely see some sort of balancing happening over the duration of the session.

Hopefully we'll get to find out sooner or later......

cant see why chopley , if your not going to raise your stakes up , at some point your going to be chasing a ghost sadly, hit quick & short would be the best way forward ive done the wagering plently of times as no doubt andy could clarify on many occasions ,albeit mixed stakes not 50p straight without changing , its going to be interesting in how long you hold out but as youve asked for bets i doubt your get to even 70% of your wagering ):D but with saying that i do wish you luck:thumbsup:

Eek! Sorry Chopley.

Just hit this, last wild of Belle 2nd reel top fell in 2 from the end of the extra 5 spins for 5 wilds over 2 lines.

Yes, I'm sure that's cheered Chopley up, the last thing he'd do is play that bastard at £3.60 a spin, insane stakes.

Congrats on the win though; you got the bottle you deserve the rewards...:notworthy

I have played it at £7.20 and hit the free spins too! but didn't match wilds in the bonus round, but still won x200 my stake.. lovely hit btw, I have tried at higher stakes many times, but never ever got lined up wilds..

Stick with it Chopley. Once you've hurdled this initial little obstacle - Mr Green are generally excellent -- and I'm dead fussy as well.

I had one little withdrawal issue way back at the beginning but they've been flawless since.

Your little experiments are great. Mental, but great. Very much looking forward to the outcome

Obviously some people here don't like NetEnt's low variance slots - but I enjoy most of them.
I had a good 2 hours session last night playing South Park, Magic Portals, CFTBL, Jack Hammer 2 & Starburst; didn't hit anything major, but finished up having increased my balance by 83%.

The two most annoying things which happened were on South Park; this has not been too great to me recently so I started on much lower bets than I normally play (75c instead of €1.25+), quickly got the Stan bonus spins & won bet x84 :( After that it fricking died and went about 100 spins with no features (very unusual on this slot) and I ended up kicking myself for carrying on so long.
Then on CFTBL I unlocked the dual expanding wilds for only the second time ever - and just like last time, non of those wilds dropped in
Still - it gave a pretty good return and I also hit a large win with loads of wilds in the base games and made a good profit.

Just checked my play-logs, and these were the games with my start, finish and (peak) balance:
South Park €180 €151 (€230)
Magic Portals €151 €189 (€199) - was bad until free-spins paid €111 from a €1.25 bet.
CFTBL €189 €266 (€281)
JH2 €266 €320 (€378)
Starburst €320 €330 (€382) - hit a win with 3 x 4 Bars with no stars - Paid €60.

Of course, it's not always like this - but nor is any other software!

Well making a ton nearly from TFTUT is an achievement in itself. Bank it, and print and frame the play report...:D

chopley

it can be done with a bit of luck! I deposited £100 and got £50 bonus off vera and john yesterday. wr only counts when you hit the £50 bonus, early cashout if you hit big allowed..

I lost the deposit and then got down to £38 bonus left. off the £50 bonus. so wr £50x40 =£2k wr..

I played doa, cftbl, jatb, starburst, and piggy riches...had some good hits between these lot, and managed a withdrawl of £302 wagering the 2k!

ref mr green

this sign up can be done easy, but I aint giving anything away :p

anyways good luck and this can be achieved low rolling slots on netent with a bit of luck...

Well hopefully Andy can get the verification code sorted out for me when he's next online, since I hit a brick wall with CS :)

It is quite annoying because I've had that £250 sat in my Neteller account for a little while now and sooner or later I'm just going to think 'screw it then' and deposit it somewhere else.

No criticism of Andy at all there BTW, as I do realise he's trying to help out with the situation, it's the intractability of the casino's stance on 'WE WANT A MOBILE NUMBER' that's irritated me. (At Videoslots for example Lucas was able to confirm that I didn't need to provide a mobile number, as they require the verification code only for customers depositing with cards, rather than Neteller, which I use.)

If it weren't for the fact that Mr Green have all the Netent slots pertaining to the 'experiment' and a nice big SUB to give me a solid bankroll to take it on with, I'd have given up before now!

One of the most interesting thread for me in a last month probably ;)
Good luck Chopley, can't wait till you start your journey!

Believe me I would like nothing more than to get started!

In the meantime I have received this email....

grrrgreen.webp

Well I am now the (cough) 'proud' owner of a Nokia 106, which the chap in the shop told me was absolutely the cheapest phone they had.

The important thing is that I have a PAYG SIM to put in it, so I now have a new mobile number, and Mr Green can have that, and the 106 will just sit next to my PC 24/7 on mute :)

Therefore my 'proper' mobile number remains safe!

Oh well Mr Green support told me that my account was already activated so it looks like Andy has been doing his stuff behind the scenes because yesterday it wouldn't let me log in and was telling me I still needed a verification code.

Either way it looks like we'll finally be able to get this show on the road soon, all I need to do now is deposit, take the SUB, and get rolling!

BOOM!

Good luck!

Dead or Alive has brutally, clinically destroyed me over the last few months - with the Creature From the Black Lagoon walking past my lifeless corpse and casually kicking my cold expressionless face. Whilst laughing.

But I'll still be back for more because, the next spin... You never know :D

Enjoy!

So then the GRAND CHOPLEY NETENT CHALLENGE begins!

I've decided to max out the SUB so I've deposited the full £250 to get a £250 match which is a £500 bankroll on an £8750 WR.

Balthazar has kindly provided my list of 'permitted slots', the very sight of which makes my brain hurt with the sheer madness of what it is I am about to undertake.

----------
Elements
Disco Spins
Muse
Space Wars
Thief
Wild Turkey
Silent Run
Fisticuffs
South Park
Egg-O-Matic
Reel Rush
Secret of the Stones
Magic Portals
CFTBL
Big Bang
Twin Spins
Wonky Wabbits
----------

The rules are very simple, I will play each slot on the list, in the order shown above, at spins of 50p or less, until I hit a bonus round, then I will move onto the next one.

Where the slot doesn't have a bonus round I will play 150 spins and then move on.

In both cases my stop trigger will be 50x stake, and I will note how often I hit 50x stake.

If I make it to end of the list, I will go back to the start and do it all again until I either make WR or bust out.

Goodbye £250, it was nice knowing you......

LET THE GAMES COMMENCE! Up first, ELEMENTS! (God help me.)

I shall track my progress in this thread.....

ELEMENTS -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £500.00p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 94

Bonus round paid - (Fire Storm round) 31.5x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £503.12p

Verdict - Damn these wonky Netent reels to hell with the endless three wins on the trot and then missing the fourth which would trigger a bonus. Goddamn it looks and sounds nice though, and I have made a small profit, so mustn't complain.

DISCO SPINS -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £503.12p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 20

Bonus round paid - (Chose Disco Spins) 30.5x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £511.42p

Verdict - This slot has never really done much for me and the reels confuse me as well, although I do like the music and general funkiness of it all. Plus, it coughed a bonus round quickly enough and I made a few quid on it.

discospins.webp

MUSE -

Played at - 25p spins

Starting balance - £511.42p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 236 (Three scatters)

Bonus round paid - 33x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No (Did come close at 47x though.)

End balance - £507.88p

Verdict - Never so much as looked at this slot before (not that I can recall anyway) although I soon got my eye in with how it works, it delighted in constantly dropping those various wilds in all over the place and they tended not to do anything of interest (it was also very good at 'randomly' choosing the wrong sort of wild). Didn't like the theme much although some of the sounds were nice. I doubt this will make it onto my 'regular play list'. Balance holding steady despite waiting 236 spins for a bonus.

All that said I do quite like the bonus round, shame the base game is so shit whilst you're waiting for it.

SPACE WARS -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £507.88p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - N/A 150 spins played

Bonus round paid - N/A

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £496.55p

Verdict - Love the graphics and sound on this slot, cool theme too, and I hammered it quite a bit in free play. It's just a shame the paytable is typical modern Netent junk, no reason at all to play it on a straight deposit IMO.

Screenshot below represents about as exciting as it got.

Woohoo for responsible gambling and all that, not so woohoo for it having reset all my stake options when I clicked on the 'I'M HAVING FUN' button and it had defaulted to a bet size 10x larger than I'd been on.

One to keep an eye out for.....

Ha ha - Yep - That gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Most importantly - THIS ALSO RESETS YOUR AUTOPLAY OPTIONS. So if you've say set it to stop on any feature, it won't. Need to start again...

THIEF -

Played at - 50p spins (wish I'd gone with 25p as it stung a bit)

Starting balance - £496.55p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - (Adrenaline free spins) 77

Bonus round paid - 15x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £476.97

Verdict - Another aesthetic masterpiece from Netent, really looks and sounds the part IMO with gorgeously designed and super-clear reels, plus the adrenaline free spins do have some reasonable pay potential too. (Gave it a fair workout in free play when it was released.) Not that I got to see any of that here, and had a horrible number of dead spins, bankroll starting to dip a little bit for the first time now.....

My money is on Wild Turkey putting you back in the black...

WILD TURKEY -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £476.97p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - (Three scatters) 246

Bonus round paid - 40x stake (although a chunk of that was the triggering spin which it adds onto the round win)

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £443.97p

Verdict - Never played this before at all for real or free (I'd pretty much lost interest in Netent by the time it was released). Seems like a decent enough slot design wise and I liked the various turkey symbols, not really played it enough here to form too much of an opinion, although it certainly paid fuck all. (Once again an appalling number of totally dead spins.)

Also, got the 'dogleg' line from bottom left to top right with the top paying red turkeys (which is a payline even on 9-liners like BDBA), but apparently it's only a 3OAK here, so thanks for that.

Best single win was 5OAK on one of the lessser turkeys for 20x stake (screenshotted below).

Bonus round when it finally came was very underwhelming, lots of extra spins but the stacked wilds just weren't turned up where required.

wildturkey.webp

SILENT RUN -

Played at - 50p spins

Starting balance - £443.97p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - Played until I'd seen an ECHO WILD and an ECHO BONUS, which took about 60 spins for the two (missed the exact number as I've never played the slot before and wasn't entirely sure what was going on). It wasn't much over 50 spins though.

Bonus round paid -

ECHO WILD - About 10x stake, missed the total but it wasn't much and only turned two extra stops wild.

ECHO BONUS - 524x stake (!!), got five torpedoes and on the 5x torpedo hit a £50 ship for £250 on that single shot.

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £687.97p (Woohoo!)

Verdict - No previous experience of this at all. Graphics and sound a bit too austere and 'warry' for my taste, and don't care for the overall theme much either, but I really can't argue with a 524x stake win!

Obviously the ECHO BONUS round has some serious pay potential on the 5x and 10x multipliers.

FISTICUFFS -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £687.97p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - N/A 150 spins played

Bonus round paid - N/A

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £672.17p

Verdict - Yet again a slot I've never so much as loaded up before. It seemed alright TBH, I thought the graphics and sound were good fun with the little boxer animations and suchlike, and there was a reasonable amount going on most of the time too. Can't comment on its pay potential (or lack thereof) from a sample of just 150 spins.

Wouldn't rule out firing this one up again.

Really enjoying reading your reviews, Chopley!

That win on Silent Run is a VERY rare one, obviously - and I was amazed how little you lost on Sparse Warts.

Can't wait til you get to South Park - I just hope you get the Stan or Kenny bonus round. Although they can ALL be shite, I found generally the Cartman bonus is frustratingly crap more often than not and Kyle only occasionally a bit better.

What are you going to do if you get through the whole list & still have WR left - start all over again, pick the ones which were good, pick the ones which were bad, or what?

KK

SOUTH PARK -

Played at - 50p spins

Starting balance - £672.17p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - (Stan Free Spins) 8

Bonus round paid - 224x stake (He just wouldn't stop puking, lots of decent 5OAKs)

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £780.07p

Verdict - I did give this a decent rattle around in free play when it was released and quite enjoyed it, never hit anything like this though. Only 8 spins played and fluked a nice paying bonus round here, might return to this later on to go through the rest of the bonus rounds - but for now, it's looking alright....

EGG-O-MATIC -

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £780.07p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - (Ten free spins) 22

Bonus round paid - 35x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £787.37p

Verdict - I think this slot is a masterpiece in terms of graphics and sound, really sumptuous stuff, but just so hard to win on IMO, been burned by it in real play before. I considered myself lucky to hit free spins so quickly here as it means I can move on to the next game. (And it's so bastard annoying when the nice eggs roll along the conveyor belt and the wild chicken doesn't drop in to collect them.)

Might return to it later in the session though, just 'cause I enjoy the graphics and sound so much.

SOUTH PARK -

Spins to trigger a bonus round - (Stan Free Spins) 8
Bonus round paid - 224x stake (He just wouldn't stop puking, lots of decent 5OAKs)
I HATE you! :axeman:

FISTICUFFS -
Wouldn't rule out firing this one up again.
As this has no free-spins as such, like Starburst, Space Wars, Big Bang, etc... you not likely to hit anything much over bet x100.
Your only hope of a really decent return is hitting a lot of better-than-average features in a small-ish number of spins.

This was my best on it, in November:

REEL RUSH -

Played at - 50p spins

Starting balance - £787.37p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 39

Bonus round paid - 79x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £812.82p

Verdict - Arguably one of the nicest looking and sounding slots ever IMO, I guess it helps if you're a child of the 80s and 90s videogame scene though! (I love the way the music sort of 'evolves' as you get closer to free spins.)

Can be very harsh to play though, definitely seems to have the 'new' Netent pay profile, not too bad if you're grinding WR on a bonus perhaps, but a very tough proposition on a straight deposit.

Decent result here, 79x stake bonus after just 39 spins. You know, Netent slots are looking alright up to now aren't they.....

reelrush.webp

Ve might return to this later on to go through the rest of the bonus rounds....

If I remember correctly, then it is possible to win up to 5000 x your bet during the Cartman Bonus Game, so South Park certainly has potential.

Nice reviews

SECRET OF THE STONES -

Played at - 50p spins

Starting balance - £812.82p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 165 (Three scatters after picks with 14 spins at 2x with red wild symbol)

Bonus round paid - 124x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - Yes (52x)

End balance - £878.32p

Verdict - Once again I must confess I've never even loaded this one up before, either in real or free. The graphics and sound immediately appealed to me though, whatever my criticisms of Netent may be, they don't extend to their ability to design some seriously impressive slots aesthetics wise.

Not a huge amount going on in the base game (even though this is the only slot up to now to breach 50x outside of a bonus round) - so it's all about camping out the bonus round, which paid very nicely for me here. Not a bad slot IMO, may return to this one in future to get a better idea of what it's capable of.

Lovely music in free spins too!

Thanks chaps!
I'll ask someone to look into this.

Oh, and good luck Chopley!

Andy

Thanks Andy.

When you ask to continue, it reloads the slot - so it's as though you just opened it the first time round. I've only ever been caught out on DoA when I wander back to see that the feature has finished when I had it set to "stop on feature".

I like watching those two wilds on the second and fifth reel appear and pay me £4.20 :p

Maybe a way to lengthen the play reminder to four or five hours or something might be an option?..

CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON -
(Turd From The Unflushed Toilet)

Played at - 40p spins

Starting balance - £878.32p

Spins to trigger a bonus round - 216 (Three scatters)

Bonus round paid - 185x stake

50x stop trigger hit in base game? - No

End balance - £902.92p

Verdict - Well what more needs to be said about this one? There's already plenty of chatter on CM about this slot, but for me the jury is still at least partly out. Clearly capable of some big pays, but also capable of horrendous dead patches and dreadfully low paying bonus rounds, along with those Netent dead spin clusters that make your hair stand on end a bit.

This is my first time playing it in real although I have given it a fair few thousand spins with play money.

I do like the way the base game is capable of some seriously solid wins with those sticky wilds, but that seems to divert RTP away from the bonus round which maybe goes some way to explaining why it can (a) Be so mean with it in the first place and (b) Have it pay so shit, so often, when you do land it. (Compare with something like Evolution, where the base game is literally incapable of paying much of any consequence, so you've got all that RTP lumped over into the bonus round instead.)

Whatever the case, my tussle with the Creature today has certainly elevated him out of dunover's turd category! I got to the final evolving wild with a couple of spins left, didn't land the final shots on the Creature for the extra spins but did get a few decent wilds going on, it managed to avoid doing any massively dramatic 5OAKs though (a SUPER MEGA WIN and a MEGA WIN were in there though) - a decent result!
