Question Chargeback help - Ridika Casino

I have signed up to tons of casinos over the years and to be honest I never thought to research any of them, there just sites to have a bit of fun nothing more, luckily the ones I did withdraw from i had no problems at all. And until jgslots mentioned this site I still wouldn't have known any difference between a good casino and a rogue casino. I don't understand the license stuff and now being here hopefully I don't need to as I only join accredited ones now from this site. But besides all that and despite some casinos being rogue according to this site I still play at some of the sites where so far I have never had a problem and hopefully never will. How many of the average joes really look for reviews about casinos? One in a thousand? Even if that. And one sites rogues is another site best. Its not all plain sailing.

@dunover -- I know you have said that 'chargebacks are automatic is some cases', but that has not been my experience. I have accounts at most of the Aussie banks, and none of them have prevented my gaming transactions from going through.

Is your comment a case of 'chinese whispers' or do you have solid proof of this happening? Just curious.

Note: I know there was a thread started by crikeym8 along the same lines, but I thought that thread had been well and truly discredited?
Yes, his and a few other comments have suggested that in conjunction with your foreign gambling ban the payment providers are being actively involved. How far that has gone you'll probably know better than non - Aus members but it is ultimately a necessity to have them on board for effectively stopping unlicensed play - I wish they could effect those measures in the UK to close the loop. I know you'll not stop crypto deposits and refunds though.

It's actually an interesting watch from the UK perspective so if any Aus. members know of any new measures being tried, please tell us!

Do you mean simply to stop unlicensed UK casinos from accepting payment from UK residents? In effect, protecting us from ourselves?

Whatever, IMHO still a step too far towards a dictatorship, where the govt is now beginning to regulate the minutiae of our everyday life.
 
But if you are a UK player why on earth are you risking playing in scam and rogue casinos for?

There is plenty of trustworthy establishments that you can play at without any issues. I highly recommend Videoslots casino. Also on sketchy ground is people that do chargebacks is someone who should not even be trusted by casinos. So if this is what you always tend to do, then I would guess maybe this is why you can no longer play in the trustworthy casinos because you have been blocked in them? Because you have done chargebacks soo many times. You then get put on blacklists. So legit casinos will just refuse your business. Hence going back to what I said above about you then only being able to play at the scam rogue casinos.

This is not an attack, just some advice to help you out. I am not accusing you of any wrongdoing. But Chargebacks are not a good thing to do. Casinos do not like players that do them. And when players do use them, blacklists are there for this very reason.

Many people don't understand the DPA scope. Information can be shared where there is a vital interest in doing so, i.e. prevention of crime or investigation thereof by interested parties.

That doesn't mean it can be shared with private companies who aren't law enforcement, unless specifically stated in terms and conditions. Even then, they would be hard pushed to justify it if the data subject complained. Not saying they can't under any circumstance, but its not as easy as anyone can.
 
I recently had what i can only describe as an identity theft issue. I downloaded a program for my comouter which seemed harmless and i had researched quite well and when it installed i got a pop up box offering the add on programs usually its like an anti virus program etc. I usually always uncheck the box but then i got another pop up saying if i dont install the other program may not function correctly. Stupidly i just hit continue. Every thing was fine nothing unusual.

One night i was up for a toilet stop and noticed my computer was off its sleep mode. Thought nothibg of it at all.

I go away for a couple of days then find $5000 had been taken from my bank and played on a casino site i am a member of.

I cancelled everythibg locked my internet banking and wondered wtf. So it seems my computer was being accessed remotely i found out. Went through the recebtly installed programs and deleted them. Contacted the casino and explained what happened. (I have shortened all the minor details no need for a step by step recount).
They didnt care.
The user had all my internet history. All my saved logins. My internet banking.
I contacted police they didnt care they just redirected me to another government body which handles cybercrime and all you can do is report it. Then they decide which reports may be looked at by police

I called the bank and explained it and started a non authorization claim.

The bank called me and found the ip was about 2 hours away from where i live. But they decided that either i had given my details to someone or i played it myself.
No refund. Nothing. I said to the casino how could your systems bot realise i usually play like $50 max and suddenly over 2 days ive played $5000 that i dont have to be wasting on gambling. No one questioned it.

So apparently thats that i havent got $5000 and the bank just said nope.

So chargebacks dont always work even when you are in the right and i mean how the hell can i prove this to the bank.... so just depends on your country and your bank i guess
