Rudepete, did you know MyCasinoOpinions was run by IglobalMedia (of Planet Poker, Starluck and PartyPoker) but they took it off the web. It had thousands of player reviews on it but it's all gone now. It's a shame they got rid of all those reviews. By the way, my site only quite recently said that but I've always had lots of links to Casinomeister (on the front page and all the forum pages) and say that it is among the best for casino information although I don't always agree with all the casinos on it. I've been posting here since 1999. I'm sure Casinomeister has had quite a few signups through my site. I don't have many links to other sites. The links to casinomeister and wizardofodds all leak my pagerank (technical thing with google) because I don't get proper return links so I may stop sending pagerank to them soon but keep the links. Wizardofodds got rid of my link when he updated his site some time ago but it was only in the directory which doesn't really count. Not sure what happened to the Casinomeister link directory either.

Paul1, the least said about your underwear the better lol. Most web servers keep logs of visitor's IP addresses (so you can find where visitors are from) and also log the pages they visited from (so I can see if someone visits form a link on this site) and your browser also gives the server info such as your operating system and screen resolution. Simple tracking software usually just uses those logs. It best to use javascript tracking software too for realtime tracking as that gives extra info such as exit pages and allows cookies for each computer in case the IP changes between visits. It's nothing special but lets you see the number of people visiting each page and how they got there and how long they stay on the site so you can try and improve it.

Casinomeister, casinocoins was the affiliate program for English Harbour Group even when they were Microgaming before they joined OddsOn. There have been quite a few oddson casinos that opened that all closed quite quickly. There was one called vegasplayerscasino.com a few years ago and many others. Their press release was a bit similar to Fire and Ice's and talked about rivalling Vegas. It's a bit over the top, really. Fire and Ice said in their press release from a month ago (not sure they'd have any players if they had just opened): "I have been told by many existing players that Fire and Ice Casino is one of the few casino sites that can match the bright lights of Vegas. I feel proud when I hear this." and "Fire and Ice casino offers a prestige and glamour that has yet attained to date in the online casino industry."

Well How do I say this in a very professional and honest way.

Darn, I can't think of any way.

Yes, I knew My Casino Opinions were owned by IGlobalMedia and I used to have a ball there posting and talking with other gamblers and disagreeing with other members also. It was a great place and for all the posts and actions I did on that site, I got free money every month or so in my Starluck account. I have been playing there for a very long time.
You really scared me off when you tried to pin me down about where I lived,so on and so forth. Are you that registered sex offender I just found out lives in my neighborhood. ONLY KIDDING>>>>>>>>>:D ONLY KIDDING:eek2:
I am just trying to lighten this up.
I think any forum that lets other forums promote their site by allowing them to post it, is okay in my book. You all better hope Bryan doesn't take that away.
I have been to other's sites that people have posted here and have joined. You set me off thus I don't want to be part of yours. OK enough said.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving as I wish all the other members here.

If your are the person from Southfield, Michigan who clicked from this thread

I think it is in really poor taste and a major misjudgement on your part Sirius to actually start making information from your weblogs, public knowledge on what is a private but yet publically accessible Internet Forum. If RudePete was the visitor from Southfield, Michigan as you presumed, you have just given away his location to everyone who views this thread. A big no no in my book, regardless whether he has it in his profile or not - This is something you should just not do.

I run several websites and a couple of forums, one in particular ( Not Gambling Related ) is very popular with other 250,000 posts combined over the three versions of the forum. I would never ever put the contents or parts of my weblogs into the public domain. To be honest I don't know of any responsible webmaster who would.

Ditto, I feel that this information was provided in poor judgement and taste.

I honestly didn't think mentioning Southfield would be an issue and it would be no problem removing it from the post if it was (although now it's been quoted a few times). Some forums publically post IP addresses so the location would be viewable by anyone. I remember when Casinomeister showed IP addresses publically with the old forum software at times which meant every poster's location was given away.

Rudepete, sorry if I scared you off but didn't mean any offence. You already have your age and state in his profile publically viewable. If you viewed just the first page of my site (and possibly saw two other pages through search engines in the last couple of weeks) then that is what I was pointing out after you replied to this thread. This thread was in fact nothing to do with my site in the first place despite what some people think when they brought it up. Casinomeister has removed my signature privileges for some reason but my site has nothing to do with my posts here at all! You should look back over my posts from before I even had the site or before I even put a signature in my profile. I prefer not having the signature in my profile if this is going to happen whenever I post. Incidentally, I've always had links to Casinomeister and Wizardofodds on thousands of my pages now and I didn't even ask for return links until long afterwards which were added to a directory page which I don't think exists any more on Casinomeister (or at least is hard to find) and doesn't count for much. Casinomeister told me he has to meet with the webmasters before putting the proper links up which I didn't have a problem with. I didn't care much whether the links were exchanged, it didn't stop me putting the links up. I have been posting here probably longer than anyone else that currently still posts. When Winneronline was more popular I still posted here just as much as Winneronline.

ENOUGH SAID

I have had enough now, and although my name is Rudepete, I am the farthest thing from rude you will find. No, again, I don't live in Southfield. actually no where near, but that isn't for you to be posting. I don't care if anyone knows where I live, IF I GIVE OUT THAT INFO.:(
I am from St. Clair Michigan and proud of it. So anyone want to visit just let me know.
Pete

Hi Sirius,

You need to clean out your PM box. I PMd you earlier about this, but your box is full. I'm emailing you instead.

I am not going through this again in particular as I already replied. I was just commenting on his visits to my site in response to what he said about it although I should have done it in a PM. There were others from Michigan too so wasn't sure which was him and was trying to find out. You talk about being a responsible webmaster but why did you want to swap links on my homepage and forums but then remove them later without telling me? I have your links on thousands of my pages and I've only just noticed that you removed mine without telling me. I also noticed that you and Casinomeister gave me negative 'reputation points' within minutes of each other (which was probably just a coincidence) on this forum so now I have a stupid red mark next to my name!

I've also been informed by someone that Casinomeister removed his links page (I couldn't find it either) which contained links to hundreds of sites which linked to Casinomeister on their homepage. Casinomeister should obviously give some sort of notice for doing this. If you did announce it, I didn't hear about it and I visit quite often. Do you want these webmasters to remove your links too (which were much more valuable than the directory links they had in return)? Webmasters took the trouble to link to Casinomeister from their homepages to get the links in the link directory but you didn't even bother announcing it well enough when you removed their links.

To make it clear what this message is about, I am just asking Casinomeister what happened to his links page and if it has been removed (when?) what he wants all those webmasters to do now with his 'return' links?

Just to make it clear, I am also asking webzcas when and why he removed the links he had to my site on his homepage and forum pages after asking me to add his links to my pages in return. I still have his links on all my pages. I don't swap links as a rule but do occasionally.

Hi sirius,

The "links" page was not included in the relaunching of the site over two years ago. The reason for this was that too many man-hours were used to upkeep the page. It was extremely time consuming to revisit these sites to see if they were still around or if there was indeed a link to Casinomeister posted there. Each one of these webmasters was given an ad spot in the newsletter which are all archived so the links are still here. I didn't think about making any announcement since that link page hardly received any traffic whatsoever.

Here is a question for you: why are you trying to be so damn annoying? Each one of your questions has a solid legitimate answer, and each one of these questions could have been emailed or PMd. To constantly badger me in my own forum doesn't sit well - especially when you have your own site to run. I find it rather unprofessional and tactless.

Don't you think I'd be annoyed by the stupid red mark next to my name due to you and webzcas giving me some negative points? I don't think there is anyone who posts here who has posted longer than me at this site.

I'm still waiting to hear from webzcas to find out why he removed my links without telling me. This must have been some months after emailing me to ask me to add his links on mine which I did (I only have links to very few sites).

I thought the reason I brought it up here was obvious as he was the one chipping in and implying I wasn't a responsible webmaster without any thought to what he had done.

If you don't like the fact that I feel that many of your posts are misguided jabs at me and this site - TS. Old timer or not, you need to get a handle on how you post here.

Then this is between you and Webcaz. Keep it to emails or PMs. Thank you.
