Is it legal / fair / rogueish etc.... For casinos to force you to accept a sign up bonus against your will, after asking not to have one or for it to be revoked ?
I am currently playing one where they are forcing me to have one on my first deposit along with a 35x play-through and pretty piss poor wagering game %

Long story short i redeemed a free £5 , won £90 , (max win was £100 from bonus ) , Now to get these winnings you need to first make a deposit and play through those winnings 35x , But the problem is along with my deposit they are forcing me to also take the sign up bonus which , Guess what has another 35x play-through , They are saying there is no way i can deposit or play without having this bonus ..

I have told them i do not want it and would like to just make a cash deposit with no bonus and that i understand the £90 needs to be played through 35x but they will not have it .

Just want to know if this is standard or if they're up to no good,

thanks

It can certainly not be one of the casinos that are accredited here.

It's really awful and I wouldn't give them a cent. They have made it so you won't be able to cash out at all.

It sounds familiar. Could it be NetBet?

Hi ,

thanks for the reply ,

It's a new casino that has some Netent games i like so thought i would give it a spin ,I wont name names as i think that kind of thing seems to be frowned on like your using it for leverage or something .

I have a full copy of the chat transcript but its quite lengthy ,

they are basically saying its all in there terms and conditions but when i asked them to show me which bit ,

"Sara: Our welcome bonus is automatic. However, there are various reasons for not receiving it and you may need to personally request it. If you have not received your automatic welcome bonus after making an approved deposit, please contact our support team. This can be done online while you are playing (click the "online support" button), or by emailing support@mrmega.com Just remember to state your username."

Apparently they are confusing the term automatic for mandatory , I challenged them on this and they basically said there the rules and that's that .

My current state would be depositing £10 and having £110 to play with with a 35x playthough which all in all isnt bad but you just dont know what they may come up with next , Plus this is the wagering requirement % table ...

You gave the name away when you wrote their email address.
MrMega. Sound familiar that too. MrGreen maybe won't be so happy to see that name.

If slots are only 50% then the bonus are 70x.
That is not good at all.
I would stay away but it's your choice. You can at least have fun for the money.

I had a long chat with their CS and I still don't understand anything.

If anyone else want to try then please do that :D
It seems like whatever you do it's still bonus you have to play through, and you have to take it yes.

Avoid, stay away, awful rules :(

I know its my own fault for not playing from the reccomended list on here but the amount of sites i come across recently that are just set out to manipulate and scam is ridiculous .
There really does need to be a serious crackdown with serious punishments , They must make trillions a year in total these rogue outfits and it seems if they are caught they just re-open with a new name ,

It really is gutting sometimes , I mean most of the time you have a little gamble and you lose , And you lose more than you win but its a bit of fun and then when occasionally you win enough to make a cash-out , Half the time you have fallen foul to some terms and conditions and still end up losing.

My understanding or certain terms and conditions is not great as half the time it seems to me set out to confuse us , so i now don't play with bonuses so this problem doesn't happen , And now it seems sites are forcing us into a bonus that in turn seems we have no way of actually making a cash out from , Like Nifty said its Disgusting .

I can think of no other business where this type of behaviour would be acceptable or tollerated ..

Would anyone like me to post the full chat transcript for shits and giggles ?

IMO those forced bonuses are nothing short of entrapment: loathsome behaviour intended to fleece the uninitiated. Anyone with 10 minutes experience in the scene should know better than to even look at a casino employing such tactics. Any casino that uses these forced bonuses on player deposits should be kicked to the curb.

I've just heard from someone that it's rather common practise if someone takes the NDB. Only then are they forced to take the sign up bonus too, and can play with the entire sum.

This place force you to take the sign up bonus anyway and that is disgusting.
The guy I talked to behaved like I should be grateful for them giving away so much and they were so greate so what else could I wish for

So nothing contributes 100% towards the bonus?

That's pretty disgusting way to tell wagering requirement, though would be pretty hilarious if some casino tried advertise WR 1x with wagering contributions in 1-2% range...

This is one of those Neogames sites. They have other slots besides Netent that I believe contribute 100%.

However, please beware of playing anything other than slots as it will void all winnings - it's not allowed despite some of them being listed to contribute 10%

These Neogames sites are as rogue as they come

You can play a 10% weighted game, even a 50% one, but you cannot WIN, only LOSE. Winnings will be confiscated, but the casino keeps it's own winnings.

It's the same as "give me a tenner, either I'll give it back, or I'll keep it, depending on the flip of a coin".

The NetEnt slots are just slots, the same as the others, but by weighting them at 50%, they can catch even slots players out with the other term that voids all winnings from games less than 100% weighting.

As this is a multi provider site, a new player would easily fall into this trap as they wouldn't know how to tell a "banned" NetEnt slot from an allowed one, they would just see a screen full of slot games.

What a despicable act of theft that is really leaving a very very minimum at best chance of players cashing out.

That is EXACTLY why CasinoMeister set up this site in the first place! To help players avoid places like this.
Basically online casinos are the modern version of the "Wild West" - a pretty lawless place, full of the Good, the Bad & the Ugly :(

If ALL players stuck to the Accredited list... well this forum would be pretty quiet really - like a ghost town with tumble-weed blowing down the streets and an eerie whistling wind blowing round the old deserted Complaints Section... :p
